This is the first OXO product I've purchased that I'm very disappointed with. I bought it to put on the shower wall to keep my magic eraser that I use to clean the shower walls with. It does NOT stay stuck on the shower wall. Shower wall is very clean BTW. No soap scum. Fell down within a few hours of placement 4 times over a couple week's time. Returning. Glad I got it at Amazon and it's returnable. The previous suction cup sponge holder lasted for 6 years before the suction cup finally gave up. I'm going back to the brand that costs $5 and lasts 6 years. idesign.

I bought this product few days back reading the description of strong suction cup as I wanted something inside my sink and just don't like thinks outside.. first time when I put it , it just grabbed the sink wall and stayed for few hours and I was like.. great. bust after few hours it fell and I though may one of the dishes hit it so it fell but since then not even once has it stayed on..I have tried different sections of the sink it just won't work.. worst product.

it's hard to find a good caddy that you can just leave in the sink.
I might have just found a perfect one.

I clean the wall of sinks and dry them before my attempts to put it up.
moved the suction a few times to get a better placement but don't have an issue w/ the suction not holding.

what I like about this caddy are the square suction cover and the removable holder.
the square suction cover helps the caddy itself not swivel around, a small issue that I had with my old caddy.
the biggest issue that I always have is the caddy gets in the way. I often need to spend time to put old caddy back on after knocked off by the extra pan that I try to squeeze into the kitchen sink.
the removable holder, while I haven't filled my sinks, I have played w/ it a few times.
not difficult to take the holder, nor difficult to clip it back on.

only time will tell how it holds up, but so far, I am liking it

We literally ordered four different brush/sponge holders before this one. Of course OXO would make the best. This fits our OXO dish brush, bottle brush, nipple brush and our sponge but takes up little space in the smaller side of our sink.

The suction cup has to be super dry for it to hold without slipping but once it’s stuck...it’s stuck. Love that you can easily remove the holder to clean around it.

Will not stay stuck to side of clean, dry stainless steel kitchen sink. The strong suction cup feeling when you first apply it fools you into thinking it will stay put forever. But inevitably it falls off a few hours later. Every single time. Over and over again. Until you give up and throw it away. $10 wasted.

This version is a great product - fixes everything that was bad about oxo’s prior aluminum version (see my bad review of that one). The suction is very strong and the sponge holder no longer freely rotates dumping the sponge in the sink. The old version was an embarrassment in terms of oxo’s normally excellent design, but this one makes up for it.

I love that this sink caddy isn't too large so it doesn't get in the way of items in the sink such as plates, cutlery, etc. It is super easy to move around if you wish to do so or totally remove if you have an extra large pot. A bit of petroleum jelly or vaseline makes the suction even stronger if you find that your cleaning brush or wet sponges get too heavy. Mine easily handles 3 sponges and 1 mini brush. Very happy with this purchase!

TLDNR: Well designed, quality plastic. Will not stick on composite granite but you can purchase a 3M disk sticker from amazon for cheap that will keep it stuck and be removable whenever you want to remove.

Very sturdy, quality product but would not stay suctioned to my composite granite sink for more than a couple hours. Its a brand new sink but I still went through the process of cleaning the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and allowing to dry fully then wetting the suction cup a little, adhering to the sink but not hanging the basket for 24 hours (which it did stay on during that time) but as soon as I hung the basket it fell within hours.

Since this is such a well designed product and well exactly what I wanted, I decided to buy a "Double Sided Clear Acrylic Adhesive Disk" sticker from Amazon and once applied to the suction cup it stayed up!

Its well made and fairly discreet, but like so many other reviews, the suction mechanism is inadequate - repeatedly releasing after about one week. I cleaned the area very thoroughly, including with alcohol- it stayed on longer but still released. Ensuring that the suction cup and sink is dry before attaching certainly helps it stay on longer. We use it to dry silverware and utensils. It works but is not really designed for that. The sides and dividers are not tall enough. It does work well for what it is designed for - holding sponges, scour pads and sink stopper. In retrospect I would have gone with one that hangs over the divider between double sinks. Having said all that, we still use it daily. We just reattach it when it falls off - not a big deal.

The Oxo stainless steel is a sleek design and the suction is very good. I like that you can remove the caddy when you need extra space for dishes.

Pass on any other sponge holder that is less pricy, this one is worth every penny. I love it! Wether it’s wet or dry, it stays put. It has an incredible suction and a lock to secure it that much more. The entire caddy is dishwasher safe, spacious, sturdy. It holds a sponge and a rag and/or brush.
The sponge has a change to be air dried to avoid any bacteria or mold growing in a moist sponge.
An overall useful, helpful must have kitchen accessory!

Great suction, enough room for your sink tools. A bit hard to get into grooves when hand washing it but I just put it in the top rack of dishwasher.
