These furniture movers are amazing! I bought these so I could help my parents move a very heavy large cabinet in one of the bedrooms. My parents were adamant that the cabinet would not be able to be moved very easily, or at all. I researched "furniture movers" on amazon and came across these sliders for carpeted surfaces and decided to give them a shot to move the monstrosity of a cabinet. When I got to my parents' house, I looked at the cabinet and tested its weight, by attempted to shift its position slightly, which was extremely difficult. I had my father assist me in getting these sliders under each of the four legs of the cabinet. Once the sliders were in place, the cabinet moved across the carpet with ease. My parents and I were all very surprised at how easy it was to slide such a heavy piece of furniture across the carpet. I would strongly recommend these sliders to everyone that needs to move any [heavy] furniture on a carpeted surface.
These are a must have for moving large furniture. I'm not sure why I've strained my back over the years when these make it so much easier. I have some extremely heavy and bulky solid wood furniture. It took a little effort to get these under each corner of the furniture, but after they were there, it allowed the furniture to simply glide over the carpet.
I do not recommend leaving these under the furniture, and you need to make sure you are getting glides that are large enough to easily fit under the legs of the furniture. If you use glides that are too small, it is easy for the furniture to slide off of them when you are moving them across the floor. So, I highly recommend getting a variety.
Used this as recommended on carpet on an open dresser/storage piece. It helped a lot once I finally was able to place them under the four legs. However, it does dent the foam part that touches the legs, generally ok but doesn’t “float” like you might think. I’d hoped these would have helped more. The furniture also needed to go over another short pile rug while moving and it wouldn’t transition to that as described as a feature. Overall, these are superior to other options and helped more than if I had just tried to lift and move my furniture. I just needed it function way easier in reality than the marketing of this makes it look. Not quite as great as the hype but overall a good purchase.
Clever by the vendor what categories it asked to rate because the better features on these are actually “durability”, “sturdiness” and “thickness”. But this doesn’t help you determine as a possible purchaser about how well they work.
I was having a wooden floor installed in a basement room where a very large entertainment center and several modules of computer furniture had to be moved. The sliders were placed under the furniture and pushed out of the way with no problems. After the flooring was finished the furniture was pushed back with no problems. These sliders eliminate the need to carry the furniture back and forth and saves your back....
Protects floors well but they can get stuck if they hit something uneven in the floor for example joints in hardwood flooring and then your furniture slips off and you have to readjust. Also make sure your floor is vacuumed first as the sliders can trap small stones or grit and scratch your floor too.
Thick, sturdy- looking and arrived in record time.
I don’t know how well they’ll hold up over time, but they look pretty substantial. I can’t say how well or even if they work though because you of course still need to be able to lift the furniture a bit, in order to use them (or hire someone who can do this for you).
They’re definitely built for utility though. They may save your floors, which is great, but they are pretty noticeable, and I don’t love that,
We had almost the entire house remodelled from carpet to LVP floors and these were an absolute lifesaver. They do what they are supposed to do. No assembly. Insert under furniture and slide away. Just that easy. Nice inexpensive solution to moving a delicate curio cabinets. These work best & move smoothly on carpet but just okay on hard floors. The sliders for hardfloors were too flimsy to be effective for moving heavy furniture. And it leaves a powdery mark on my LVP floor. But overall this product was a big help. Whoever invented these sliders should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize! I can move furniture by myself easily. It also makes vacuuming and furniture arrangement a breeze! A must have in the house.
These are really a tremendous aid when moving heavy furniture or appliances. The only difficult part is getting them under the legs first. I use a long pole or stick to lift one end and then put the sliders in place. In most cases I found these better than the round ones for moving really heavy loads forward or backward, however being oblong in shape make for a little more effort when moving sideways and in this case the round ones seem to work better. .
I was disappointed with this product, it just doesn't' slide on my oiled wooden floor. The sizes of the sliders are not brilliant, either too large or too small. Nice idea, poor execution in my view..
Combo pack cane in 4 small/medium sized , used to move heavy dresser on carpet and 4 large used to move heavy bed with mattress on carpet. My husband needed little help to lift dresser to insert Slider but then he moved both bed and dresser by himself
Very useful product!!!!
These saved our backs! We are painting and have very heavy furniture to move on carpeting. It would be impossible for my husband and I to move this ourselves but in one bedroom I was able to move all the furniture myself. Highly recommend these for sliding heavy furniture across carpet. I would not recommend leaving the furniture sit on them for any length of time as they might crack so therefore they could be a little more heavy duty, but they work great!
Moved a large tv cabinet and a chest of drawers with relative ease then back again because we didn’t like the new arrangement. Time and back saver.
