I got these because my cat likes to scratch up the couch. UGH so frustrating and irritating to hear and see ! So I got these and they are awesome. They are almost invisible and my cat does not like that sticky feel on her paws and claws, YES ! the only thing I had a problem with was the instructions. It looks like it says to peel the white and put the blue on the couch but it’s vice versa (see picture). Other than that it was very easy to apply. Get it !
I purchased these to put on our bedroom door to keep my cats from scratching/pulling at it during the night. My husband is allergic to cats, so our bedroom is the one "off limits" place to our kitties so that he can have a (mostly) cat hair free zone. Of course the cats are vehemently opposed to closed doors and will spend all night scratching and rattling the door in an attempt to get in. I tried everything - baby gates, aluminum foil, double sided tape, etc - nothing worked for more than one night (not to mention those fixes all looked ridiculous.) These sheets are not only virtually invisible on our door, but it stops our kitties from trying to bust down the door in the middle of the night. We're all finally getting some sleep!
The product is well worth it!! I have 3 cats and they were targeting my brand new couch. I was never upset with the old furniture as it was secondhand, but I needed a solution and quickly. I've never been a fan of declawing, and this is so much simpler! It went on easily, you can't even notice it, and best of all, the cats hate it so now they're avoiding it altogether. Highly recommend!!!
This is the best cat deterrent tape I have used.
I love the big sheets which make it easier to cover large areas.
This tape works very well on hard surfaces such as walls and door frames. I was able to easily remove the tape from a door frame after applying it.
As far as soft surfaces such as furniture, use care when applying and consider your options. I would rather have a shiny piece of furniture than a shredded one.
One of our cats wants to scratch on our bedroom door to wake me in the morning. I enjoy hearing the cries when he sticks his paw to the tape.... and then easily removes it in frustration.
Cats are determined to scratch. This tape lets them know where to not scratch.
This has saved my new furniture. The only thing that has worked. It is barely noticeable, people has come to visit and I mention i have it on and they look amazed cause they didnt notice until I said so. I have three cats, and all three have a plan to damage anything I buy new lol. I have tried deterrents, even made mine with vinegar, eucalyptus and lavender and as soon as the smell faded they scratched. But this has worked and it last a while, since I got it I have it on, and it is intact. Its been like two weeks or more, not sure. So I suppose it could last months before reaplying and there is plenty to use in the package.
Put this on my new furniture and the cats tried ONCE each and found they did not love them. They are super sticky, I keep getting my throw blanket caught in them, and my pants legs if I get too close, but this keeps them on. I've had the same set on for 2 weeks its still stick and scaring the cats away. Will buy again.
My cat was about to destroy my living room couches and I had to stop him. I wanted to get a scratch deterrent pad I can use to cover his most visited areas. I was using aluminum foil while I was waiting for this to arrive. I bought this one because it had the least negative reviews and I am really happy I did. While I was applying them and made a mistake, the pads did not remove any residue when I had to realign it. Just a small amount of it. Removed it two weeks later on 5/15/20, the brown leather still stayed on the couches! It’s really sticky on the outside but I don’t think I will notice, its just on the corners and not where I sit. He took one look at it, sniffed it then walked away. I like how this product contains two sizes unlike its competitors. I just wish I didn’t have to throw away a lot of paper because it didn’t have the little tag sticking out to remove the white part.
This saved my couch from my darling little demon cat. I love my cat, to a point, she’s not going to destroy my house! That being said, the responsibility of working with the animal is mine and I accepted that when I rescued her. She previously ruined the upholstery on the same couch. I had the cover replaced and desperately searched for a solution. THIS WAS IT! Now all cats are different, but nothing else worked with mine. It’s worth the low cost to try it and save your home and keep the little devil!
