Winner! It took about 3 hrs. to set up, but we were working around 2 really excited toddlers. We have LinenSpa 5" gel mattresses on both beds, they work great. We just moved the boys into the same room, wish us luck!

This bed is made and designed in Brasil where they use the metric system and it is designed for a 140 cm wide mattress. The full size is 53 inch which is about 135 cm. So there is about 2-inch difference between the frame and the mattress size. The gap is big and dangerous for the kids. We thought that the mattress size was not right, and we got a new mattress when we realized that the frame is not US standard for a full-size mattress. Now probably will send back the second mattress and try to find a 140 cm wide mattress. The twin size mattress on the top looks ok, but be aware of the thickness of the mattress not to be more than 8 inches, as the fence is about 14 inches tall, and you do not want your kids to fall down, so there are some inches left to protect.

This bunk bed is awesome! The kids love it! Took my husband and I about 3 hours to put it all together. It comes with the exact amount of hardware needed so don't lose any while building. The bed came in 4 boxes packaged very well and very easy to follow instructions. In the instructions it shows that you can attach the bottom bed in either direction which is awesome because it fit in ot kids' room better the opposite way than is pictured. It's very sturdy and I'm very happy with this purchase.

I love how the bed looks. It’s cute and fun.
Dislike: the “roof” is too low, the kids can barely sit up without hitting their heads. The bottom is extremely low, you CANNOT sit up at all.

The bed takes forever to put together but once you make it to the end, the bed is great.

The bed is really cool but the smell is very bad - not sure how many volatile organic compounds it is putting out but if you care about that kind of thing - this is not the bed for you.

This was fairly easy to put together - pieces fit well and instructions were good. Definitely use a powered drill, though, and not do it by hand (it would take ages!) My only complaint about the design is that the slats holding up the twin bunk seem not that sturdy and we're afraid to have more than one kid on it at a time - no horseplay on the bunk. But it is loved!
