This is my second Zinus bed frame purchase. I purchased this bed after noticing all of the positive reviews. Shipping was quick (the website stated it may take three-five days to receive it) I received it in two. UPS had a difficult time lugging this huge box into my apartment building and I had a hell of a time getting it up 5 flights of stairs. On the other hand, the bed is nice, sturdy, and the wooden planks are held in place by the Velcro straps. The bed is quiet and it can hold some weight. My partner is 6'7 250 and I'm 5'6 159 and it holds up . Assembly was simple due to the instructions (read the whole page of instructions before you start). Not a lot of under bed space and my headboard arrived with a few stitches missing from the seam. Overall, pleased with the look, feel, and quality. I moved my bed into a small space so you can get an idea of the size. I have a full size XL mattress set (my bed sits high due to the box spring- you do not need a box spring with this bed frame). This bed is a great value for the money.

It was fairly simple to put together.

Assembly time was about 45 minutes.

All pieces fit properly and securely. The needed Allen wrench was included. No other tools needed.

The instructions were sufficient. Not great but good.

The bed is quiet and sturdy.

The mattress (Ghostbed) fits perfectly.

It is not the fanciest bed in the world. Pictures are an accurate depiction of product. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Almost a year in this with zero issues.

I'm 6' 3 at 240 lbs and it supports me very well. No creaking or any noise. It's also very stable. It stays put on my wood flooring just as it is.

I did not use the adhesive strips on the slats. Mattress stays in place no problem.

I would by it again too. A friend bought the queen size version a couple of months ago and is equally satisfied (I assembled that one too). Same experience as me so far.

All parts are conveniently stored inside the headboard during shipping. Be sure to unzip it to look. This is actually a great feature for moving and storage.

King size mattresses are 76 x 80. If you are short on one side, like the length, and the mattress overhangs on the width - rotate your mattress 90 degrees.

Finally, it is very quiet during those private moments.

Update at 33 months:

Still good! Was starting to hear a little creaking here and there. Tightened all Allen bolts back up- 90% of it went away. The fabric on the headboard is holding up great.

I just received my bed this morning and thought I'd leave a review because there aren't many yet.. Looking at a similar bed by Zinus, I know they had a lot of problems with the back of the bed frame being damaged, parts not matching up, and mattresses not fitting. I also took note that their product had been put on hold as they resolved the issue.
So, this bed came perfect, was easy to put together (took about 20 minutes with brother) without extra or unmattching pieces, and my mattress fits perfectly on top without overhanging or the foot of the bed being elevated (as some had problems with the other one before).
Long story short. This bed came perfect and a huge thumbs up to Zinus for listening to their customers and fixing their issues.
Also, I attached a photo because I love seeing photos when I check reviews. For reference, my mattress is 10" by Ghost Bed and bed size is king.

Note: This is day 1, I didn't sleep on it yet, will update if issues arise.

Very disappointed with this purchase. I submitted a service request to replace one of the defective legs three days ago and still haven’t gotten any confirmation that it will be replaced. I’ve called every day, just to be told that I have to wait for a service technician to review my request. Just to get one stupid part relaced. I even considered ordering a set of bed legs separated from a different company, the problem is that the legs in this kit are not sized to any standard. You can find several bed leg kits on Amazon, most of them six inches with a 5/16” screw. The kit legs are 6-3/4” with a 1/4” screw. I should have just returned the kit, completely useless, and the customer support is virtually nonexistent. I will update this review if I ever receive the replacement part or if I end up returning it.

Update 9/17/2018
It took 10 days total to get the replacement processed and receive a tracking number. I received the replacement legs today only to find that they are 1/2 inch shorter than the ones that came with the kit, and won’t work since the metal part of the frame has folding legs that are a fixed height to match the taller screw-on legs. I would return it but I don’t want to deal with any more BS from this company so I’ll find something sturdy for the leg to rest on to fill the 1/2 inch gap. One star review stands.

I don't typically write reviews but I'd like to leave some feedback for those that are in limbo like I was. I purchased the King Size bed frame. Overall it is a good bed. The metal framing is sturdy, the design looks great and the assembly can easily take you 20 minutes. The only downfall and by fair our biggest disappointment are the wood slats that the bed comes with. They are not sturdy and started bowing as soon as my husband laid on it. He weighs 276 and I weigh 170. Per the box this bed should be able to hold 500 pounds! We went ahead and installed extra support panels on top of the wood slats and the bed seems to be bowing a little less. For $154 you can't really ask for much. However, I do not believe it can hold two very large people. If the wood slats were more study and held up without bowing this bed would be 5 stars easily.

First off I have to say how impressed I was with the packaging, EVERYTHING is packed inside the headboard. It is easy to assemble and looks great!! I have cats who I knew would start to sharpen their claws on it and amazingly it doesnt hardly show any damage, the fabric is TOUGH!! Well worth every penny, I have already recommended to friends and family.

Bed frame looks good and setup was easy, but the slats are too far apart to use it without a box spring. If slats are more than 2 inches apart, it voids your mattress warranty. Now I have to buy more slats, which is not only a hassle but an added cost, just to make sure I can use this frame.

read the reviews before purchasing and thought, wow 55+ people raving about this. Got to buy it.
The pieces are all tucked neatly inside the headboard. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble. I wanted something I could do myself (I don’t ever build furniture) and it only took me 37 minutes from start to finish. The directions are very easy to understand the the hardware was very sturdy (ie no stripped screws). There is velcro that holds the slats in place.
My mattress is a bit higher than I would have liked as it takes away from the headboard, but it looks so great. You could store your millions of dollars in the back of the zippered headboard, too. I will definitely be buying more Zinus products in the future. Excellent quality for a great price. I paid $246 for a king. Buy it now, if it’s available that is!

UPDATE 29 SEPTEMBER 2018: This bed is amazing. I moved houses with it, all the pieces fit nicely in the headboard and it was easy to set up again. I have a cat, and she hasn't made any claw marks - good craftsmanship. 5 stars all around!!

(Shipping, now this isn’t the manufacturers fault, but I ordered on Amazon Prime, Feb 13 and I was to received it Feb 19-21. I contacted them after the date and am told it’s sold out but I would get it as soon as it comes in. It was shipped overnight on March 1 and I received it March 2. Worth the wait!)

Seeing the highly rated reviews for this bed, I decided to go for it as it was well-priced too. I will try to make it simple with the pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Reasonable price - I bought it at 207+tax and if you look at wayfair.ca, the similar bed ( search for Colby) is $350 which has the exact design as this one. I believe they are made by same manufacturer but rebranded to sell at wayfair. Considering that, it is a great price.
2. Sturdy - The bed doesn't squeak and is sturdy because of the metal frame (has some cons will mention later).
3. Installation was easy, took me an hour.
4. Slats attach to frame using the two sided "grabs". Don't know the exact name.

Cons:
1. Headboard is not that soft, it is soft enough so that it will not hurt if you hit your head against it.
2. Frame - The metal frame has a leg in the middle, which makes the bed look cheap from the side. Also there is a possibility that anyone might bump into it.
3. Bed is a little too high if you install a 12 inch box spring mattress. I suggest to go for an 8 inch one.
4. The slats are not strong enough for an adult to step on. So if you take the mattress out, never step or sit on it.

Overall it is a very good value and the price is great for a simple and functional bed.

We really love this bed!! We got it in a king size as a platform for our new Douglas mattress (foam mattress) and I had concerns about it being sturdy and supportive enough with slats. It turns out, it's incredibly sturdy, the slats are quite close together and it looks really nice! Was super easy to build and came with all the tools we needed. My husband and I sleep on it comfortably with no creaking or issues!

Fair warning, the king box it comes in is HUGE and you will need help getting it in your house and unpacked.

Overall really happy with this bed for the quality and price!

This is one of the easiest reviews to write, and definitely one of the easiest 5-stars I've ever given. I read the other reviews on here, and WOW, were they right. It is insane how good the quality is on this bed for this price, and even more so on how well put together the bed is. IKEA should definitely look at how Zinus designed this bed, it's incredible how well thought out everything was and just how painless it was to put together.

Unlike an IKEA bed I replaced, this bed is SOLID. Nothing wobbles, no extra parts, it's fantastic. I still can't believe the price, but I'm now looking at other products by Zinus I might get for my apartment.

I love it!!! Its well built, sturdy, love the fabric, no odour upon opening. It was so easy to put together, I did it myself in less than an hour. Its the perfect height too. Best frame for the price!! I also love the fact that all the pieces store nicely in the headboard if you needed to move.

Great value and decent build quality. They did mix up a bracket (poor quality control) but I unbolted it, flipped it around and although its not a perfect match it should hold. Still 5 stars though; can't build a bed for this price.

UPDATE: Months later, still great. In fact we sold our wooden sleigh bed for the guest bedroom to replace it with another one like this. Cannot beat the value and the style, very pleased to have two of these in our house now.

Got this bed on sale and was really impressed with the look and quality of the bed for the price. Was extremely easy to put together and the material of the headboard is quite decent. Only negatives are there are pieces of wood in the headboard which you can feel if you are leaning up against it to read or watch TV. And our mattress slides around a bit because it just sits on top. Doesn't feel the most sturdy if you're sitting on the sides or the ends, but no problems sleeping in it.

I am blown away by this thing - we got a King which was around $300 and the quality is unbelievable for that price. Dead simple to build - I built it alone in about 30 minutes, and it was extremely easy even with the large King sized pieces. They even include an all-metal Allen key ratchet wrench which makes quick work of everything. Hardware comes well organized with an inventory list, and instructions are simple and clear.

All fasteners are proper bolts, not screws, and all bolts go into metal threads in the various frame pieces, not wood. Excellent. Also, the bolts seemed to be decent quality and did not have the oily manufacturing residue you often find on cheap hardware. Some extra/spare hardware was included as well.

The slats are tied together and Velcro down to the top of the bed frame so they do not move, and that also makes them easy to install precisely. Distance between the slats is about 3.5 inches so they are OK to use with most memory foam mattresses. We use it with a Casper Hybrid (foam + coils) and it doesn't bulge through, nor does it void the mattress warranty due to slat width. If you're worried about this, you can throw some cardboard, hardboard, or 1/4" plywood on top of the slats before putting your mattress on it. With a 12 inch tall mattress on it, there is not too much headboard showing, maybe 16 inches or so - you do no want to be using a box spring, nor is this bed designed for one.

Fabric is decent quality and the bed is very sturdy. The headboard does not move independent of the frame if you shake it (one of my quality tests while we were shopping). It has a slight manufacturing smell to it, typical of any new product that has fabric/foam and I expect it to dissipate soon. If that is something that bothers you, just leave the parts out for a couple days before assembly so it can fully off-gas.

There is a handful of reviews from 2018 that mention bed bugs, but we did did not notice anything (I checked meticulously with a flashlight), and I highly suspect that was an isolated incident based on the thousands of other positive reviews. It's also -30C outside where I live right now, so if any bugs were in the box, they died on my doorstep haha.

The bed arrives with all pieces and hardware packed entirely into the headboard, secured behind a zippered compartment that makes for good "secret" storage after the fact. Everything was well protected by cardboard and Styrofoam.

We're going to buy a queen version for the spare bedroom, because at this price they can't be beat. We looked at a lot of bed frames in the $500-1000+ range at various mainstream furniture stores and this one is at least as good if not better than anything we saw under $1000. The cost/quality ratio is off the charts in my opinion.

Headboard is pretty cheap oh, it's definitely going to break.
According to the reviews I did have higher hopes. After a couple of weeks now there is movement and it's "creaking".
As of right now I'm losing faith and how long this is going to last.
But at this price, I can't expect much more and neither should you.

Arrived early, easy to manage moving by myself. Took a bit of time to put together as I was alone. Very pretty. Everything comes packed into the headboard and can go back in to be stored if needed( zippered closure). Very sturdy. Loved it day one. Easily holds the weight of 2 adults without sagging or shifting.

This bed is made of high quality components typical of a much higher priced bed. No pressed wood, everything is sturdy and surprised me.

Aesthetics also impress; typical of a bed at a higher price point.

All in all a pleasant surprise, considering I typically expect product not to me sellers advertisement.

To start off, I hate assembling furniture it is one of the most stressful and needlessly complicated processes. This Fram has changed my mind on that however. It couldn't be easier to install and took about 20 minutes by myself. As far as look and feel go it was way better than I had expected. This bed frame is an absolute bargain. All of the pieces actually come inside the headboard and there are various little "gifts" added by the company. This frame comes with the typical Allen head along with a nice little ratchet to make things that much easier. Highly highly recommend, honestly couldn't be happier with it. What a deal!

The king bed was heavy in package and was damaged outside but the 2nd layer packaging protected it. Very easy to assemble in less than 1 hour and I can say that every detail of this bed is amazing.
The design team has done excellent work from hiding all items in headboard to adding velcro for the slats. They even added a mini allenkey ratchet for making life easier.
Bed is very sturdy with no squeaky sounds at all.
The only -ve side I could point is the side rails could have been wider like head and foot board to help keeping our phone/alarm/baby bottles/medicines for easy access.

With a pricetag on sale of 260cad , Im very very happy on the purchase. Even if it was not on sale the quality of product is worth every penny.
