Ordered and built two sets by myself. I’m a single mom. Had my 12 year old help a little which made things easier but overall it wasn’t bad. I made sure to tighten really good while building. My hands are sore today but not bad. I survived. None of my pieces were damaged. Everything is sturdy and seems durable. I am very please for the price. Having four kids I needed a great option to finally give them all their own bed and we only have a two bedroom so this was a perfect solution! The mattresses were off wayfair... emma 6” memory foam (no springs) and they’re perfect for these bunk beds. All together I spent about $800 for the bunk beds, mattresses and bedding. I’m pretty happy.
These bunk beds are excellent. We looked at furniture stores, online, everywhere. Most were upwards of $400 so these were a steal! They do take a long time to put together, but it's not hard. (2 hours by myself, and I'm "just a mom." :-) The set I got was perfectly labeled (see photo) so either they've fixed that problem or other reviewers didn't read the instructions. I had no issues putting it together backward or anything. The photos make them look like you can see the wood grain through the paint - you cannot. They are solid blue, I'd call it light navy? Great color. (See photos) Sturdy. Bottom bunk, I can sit up on it if I duck my head a little bit, and I'm 5'9". Our boys love them! I love the price.
Poor quality. Even when reinforced with wood screws this bed creaks and sways. Lasted about six months for us with two small children.
Great Bunkbed for the price. Was delivered 2 days early. I've built all kinds of basic furniture; entertainment centers, tv stands, chest of drawers, desks, tables etc.
Building the bed was not difficult but it does take time. After I cleared out the room and got everything unpacked it actually took me around 3 hours for the actual assembly. I did not rush as I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly.
All the parts were in the box and all the pieces were clearly labeled. None of the wood was damaged. I was able to assemble the 2 beds by myself easily but I did need help to lift the top bunk on top of the bottom one. Once we got them stacked it seems very sturdy.
One bit of advice. You will need either an electric screwdriver or a drill with a philips screwdriver bit. Each set of slats that support the mattress has 18 screws that you need to screw directly into the wood of the frame. Doing this by hand for all 36 screws would have taken forever. Thank god for my drill.
My sons 4 and 5 love the bed. Seems very sturdy and I think it will last them a long time.
These bunk beds are surprisingly sturdy for being a purchase made sight-unseen from a website. I bought these fully understanding that it was a temporary solution to our kids sleeping arrangements - but now that they're assembled and in the room, I truly believe that we'll get years of use out of these beds! There's a ton of room under the lower bunk (enough for a trundle, I'm sure), and the rail on the top bunk is high enough that I don't worry about accidental fall outs. My husband was able to assemble these himself in no time, and only needed a quick team lift to put the top bunk on the frame. It arrived on time, no parts missing. I really do love this purchase and I'd recommend it to anyone.
I made up basic plans to buy lumber and build my own. I then found this bunk bed set for the same price as the lumber would have cost me. Impressed I could have this shipped and arrive in only a few days. I spent about 2 hours assembling this once it arrived. There are many screws to put together. It can be done with the included allen wrench. If you do have a drill I highly recommend getting yourself a set of Allen wrench bits for the drill and it will greatly improve the speed with which you can assemble this.
You will absolutely build it as two individual beds. After we built it in the garage we carried both beds into the bedroom and had no trouble bunking them. We do have a young child in the house so we chose to not attach the ladder which allows us to pull the ladder off during the day so the 18 month old is not trying to climb when we're not looking. It has been very stable for my 9 year old to climb even without the screws to hold it in place.
Overall we were are very happy and are debating getting a second set for our younger children.
I love these beds. It’s my twin boys first time having their own “big boy” bed and I couldn’t be happier. They are not too far off the ground where I feel uncomfortable with them sleeping I’m without some sort of protective barrier they even fell off a few times and got up and just went back to bed. So it’s a win and the color is cute for the navy blue.

Well the screws or bolts or whatever you wanna call them loosen up very often. My kids do not jump on the bed, they only sleep in it, and that’s only 4 nights out of the week. They are 5 and weight only 46 pounds each. I don’t have it as a bunk bed style but if i did I wouldn’t trust this bed in this style. I barely trust it now. Currently looking at other beds that are safer for the littles.
I have been using these as single beds. I wanted a bunk but my kids aren’t ready for it. The quality is excellent and the look is nice. Lots of support for the mattress. I give it 4 because the rail for the top bunk isn’t very high with a Sealy standard mattress. If you have a thin mattress the rail would provide safety however for a thicker one (and I venture to say the new standard size of mattress) I would never use this as a top bunk. If we do eventually put up the bunk I will need to have someone add another rail or figure out an option to make it safer so the child doesn’t roll over it.
finally we bought bunk bed. Kids are happy. I did Some minor adjustment: painted all bolts with spray can white, before assembling this bed. other wise they stick like a sawed thumb ( metal bolts on white bed). I saw some posts that after a while bed will make some noise its normal with wood furniture. Just my recommendation: don't tight bolts to the max leave full turn. After you install mattress and wood humidity levels to your house environment (72h) , tight screws all the way. Might have to do the same in summer. It seems that its made out of solid Hardwood. So, as hardwood flooring some noise is normal.
We love this bunk bed. We cut off about 9 inches on all four legs to lower it. We use it for our 5 year old and 3 year old brothers. The ladder is removable so we store it away during the day so they don’t play on the top bunk. I sometimes end up sleeping with the little guy in the bottom bunk it is very sturdy.
Very impressed. Bought for our growing family and by far the best bang for your buck out there. Even now I am lying in the bottom bunk with my son (200lbs + 35 lbs) and the max is reccomended 225lbs.
Easy to follow insttuctions but be warned takes at least a half day if not longer if the room is small.
The slats are the weakest point. At 200 lbs they bow out when I lay on the bed. Don't allow a full adult to jump on it and it should be fine. I would suggest cutting a 1/4" slab of plywood to reinforce it but again for kids it should be fine.
It looks great for the price and is far sturdier than any particle board crap out there.
One of the best bunkbeds out there.
I still do regret going with the grey color despite reading reviews from other customers claiming that the finishing on the grey paint is not so good.
Also if I could nitpick, the planks for mattress support are kind of flimsy. Don't know how well they will hold up.
All things considered you cannot get a better value for you money. Would highly recommend to anyone.
This product was great for my first big bed. I bought a 5 inch mattress for the top so they wouldn’t roll off. Anybody who says the bed creaks or makes noise has not secured the pieces tightly enough. It is a sturdy bed and has slept myself and my 6 foot husband easily.
Bed makes alot of noise we had to separate it from a bunk so it dosent disturb the other child, the wood slacks are starting to crack that the mattress lays on its an alright bed.
The only problem was that the first time we ordered it didn't show up so I called and they fixed it right away and sent another it showed up in 2 days and in good shape, took about 2 hours to build but it is a great bed for the Grandkids
Only one important note for buyers is that is not recommended for children over 10-12 years old. because the wood parts for bottom of the mattress is not thick enough, and you can see their shape changes when a teenage be a bit heavy.
Got these for my 5 year old daughter. I put them togeth myself, with a little help from her or her brother when I needed more than 2 hands. Would definitely recommend. She loves them!
The bunk bed is amazing, it was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The quality of this bunk bed is far better than the ones we looked in furniture stores. Very happy with the purchase.
Lots of pieces to assemble. Concerned about a lot of weight on top bunk because cross supports for mattress are pretty light duty. A piece of plywood across them would be advised if for older kids
Liked the colour, style, and short delivery time.
Disappointed the bed frame came with a fairly large crack in it and we were short bolts. So the bed is sitting here unable to be completed.
We don’t want to return the bed but?
Not very sturdy and has started creaking incredibly loud when my 8 year old gets into bed and even when he shifts around in his sleep. I'll need to look into that. It was straightforward to assemble however and given the price it's not bad. Would pay more for a sturdier model next time though.
Great quality took less than 4 hour to assemble , overall its worth it
