FOR EVERYONE SAYING THE MIDDLE BEAMS DONT FIT:
I thought the exact same thing and was so frustrated and mad that I spent money on a defected item BUT then I just set the frame on its side and sorta pushed the outer beams inward and the middle bars fit. I tightened them while on its side and it was fine. Thank goodness! I just wrote this review to help all the one star reviewers out. I feel your frustration. Just flip it on the side and it’ll be okay to tighten then. Also, that is why I docked two stars. The instructions should have said that.

 DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Read my entire review.. This really looks like it would be a great bed. I think it would be, except that the cross bars need to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer. They BARELY fit so you have to be very careful or they fall out, and then you have no support. I got this for my 15 year old son. Something tells me the bars are going to be coming out of place every time he’s on the bed. I just got on long enough to put a sheet on, and a bar came out. The end piece came out, now I can’t get the bar back into place. Also, one of the end pieces for the bottom of the metal frame was out when I opened the package. It wasn’t even with the part it was supposed to be, it was wrapped in with a different part. It was bent when I opened it, and I don’t believe for a second that it happened during shipping. Everything is individually wrapped, and like I said, the end piece wasn’t even with the piece it went to.
Other hat that, it was way easy to put together, I did it myself. There are numbers and pictures, I think my 6 year old could’ve put it together. I just wonder how it’s going to hold up when my 15 year old sleeps on it tonight.
Update... it’s been 3 months, and as I suspected, the crossbars do not hold up. It’s falling apart, and now I have to get a new bed!!!
Another update... we got this bed may 17th. Put it up that day. It is now September 5th...a whole 4 months later... the entire bed is falling apart!!!! My son is scared to even sit on it!

This is a really great platform bed. I think there are a few minor problems with this however

Pros:
-Leaves a lot of space under the bed for plastic storage bins, or to hide a vast magnitude of dirty laundry

-Sturdy bed, my wife and I are not small people and we have no fears of this holding together for us including if we were to express our inner child
and pretend it was a trampoline

-a good amount of support across the mattress with no rough edges, I don't believe this is going to harm your mattress in any way over time whether you have a flip pillow top or a single sided mattress. I use a 15" memory foam king size personally.

Cons:
-slick top, your mattress can slide around if its not too heavy
-because of the slick top it makes it really difficult to get a bedskirt to stay in place when putting the mattress over it.
-I would prefer it was just a bit higher as some XL bins don't fit
- Multiple supports in the middle, while they are necessary to keep the frame lighter, they make it a bit more tricky to organize longer boxes. It works, its just not as functional as I would like
-Assembly takes a while, and the tools are poor. If you have an impact driver with an allen head it goes much quicker but be careful not to strip the screws as they can mis thread or over torque easily.

I would give it 4 stars, though with my own slight modification it became 5. I never had a platform bed frame before and was about to return it after realizing that my 8 inch foam mattress would easily slid over one side or the other whenever I moved. I had 2 thin sturdy metal book ends. I bent the bottoms so they would not stick out and placed them under two of the outside screws (mid side or each side).My bookends happened to very snugly fit between the side screws before I tightened the screws. You could do the same thing with a thin rigid piece of metal and two drilled holes for the screws. The bookends just go halfway up the side of the mattress. No more sliding mattress.

OMGOODNESS,OMGREATNESS, This frame was so easy to put together, every piece has a number if you can count up to 7 you can assembled by yourself in about one hour and 15min. But wait every screws is the same, you don't have to try and figure out what screws goes where. But wait, the give you 3 wrenches', alan, skate and a ribit. I put this frame together by myself. In no time, my husband was impress. I told you how easy it was.
The frame is strong, comfortable and sturdy. I have slept so well on this frame, I don't wake up stiff and tried. At first I brought a frame with wood slacks returned it the very next day without sleeping on it., in fact I didn't finish putting it together the frame was to small for mattress. I'm so glad I kept looking the high profile make my guest room so high end. This company send you a well thought out thank-you and send about 3 cards to sends to friends, just to say Hi who does that. ps the instruction no words just large pictures no glasses needed. LET Me SAY THANK YOU TO YOU..BeBless

I am very good at putting together furniture and this bedframe is definitely on the easy side. However, I never got to try the bedframe because more than half of the pieces were about an inch short, deeming the frame unusable. It's pretty clear that I was sent some correct pieces and some pieces from the Twin frame (I ordered a Full).
I put in a request for support almost 24 hours ago and complained on their facebook page but still haven't heard back. Not sure when I'll hear back, but now I have unusable chunks of metal taking up a large part of my bedroom, and my goal of building my bedframe yesterday and being able to use it is long gone. I'll probably be lucky if I can prepare it in a week. Thoroughly disappointing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND. One piece being short is a mistake, more than half the pieces not fitting is a pattern.

The time of reckoning had come upon the kingdom. The wizards had delivered the land the great frame upon which the foundations of the world would be built upon. I had trained my whole life for that moment - the time to show my mettle. For so long I had been a mere squire, squabbled and holed on such surfaces as air mattresses, floors . . . but no more. Rack upon rack. Bar upon bar. Until I stood before the accomplishment of all time: the frame, assembled in so little time the historians had hardly picked up their pens!

And then the true task: the lowering of the mattress. The skaalds burst into melodic choir as I lifted the mattress upon my toned, strong, majestic arms, and I gracefully draped it across the frame of the bed. And how the people sung of that moment! The men, the women, they all quivered in awe. The construction . . . the bedrock of our history . . . was complete.

I fell down, exhausted. And I slept.

The frame has proved sturdy and strong, upon which many bodies can be laid of my accolades. And with it, the land is finally safe from squalor and dirt. With this frame, peace . . . has descended.

Also it only cost $150.

Very solid frame. Assembly was very easy in half an hour. The rails have sticky tape on them to hold the mattress in place, so no slipping around. They included extra hardware and this handy ratchet allan wrench! Made tightening all those bolts much easier. Very impressed with this item. For the price, you can't go wrong with this frame.

Ommgg . so just about done building the frame. Got to the support posts for the middle, they reach across and are meant to slide into a slot on both ends. But the poles are just a bit too short, so you have to try and balance how far they sit in the slots on both ends..

Initial thoughts (first few nights)
Really great so far. Looks nice, and I don't know why others were saying the mattress slips on it, as mine stays put. Tons of space underneath, and when I put my 12 inch mattress on top it was a great height. Fairly easy to put together. Comes with a little Allen wrench ratchet (lasted just as long as it had to then wore out). Assembly took about 30 minutes, really easy though.
Overall thoughts: would recommend!

I love it. Tons of space underneath it and it looks amazing in my bedroom. My mattress stays well in place. The only downside is that the bed frame itself moves a bit when I sleep or move in it, so I gotta place it back on the wall every morning. You can't beat the price though.

Was somewhat easy to put together and is not super heavy when it's put together, my mattress doesn't slide (though I have a futon mattress so it's heavy) only "complaint" is that I wish it came in white! Also love how open it is underneath the bed, lots of room for storage boxes if needed

This frame looks very modern and allows for lots of storage underneath. It had stickers and ratchet tool that made setup a breeze. The only thing I would point out is that one of the stickers is right at the foot of the bed, bright yellow and impossible to peel off so make sure you have some goo be gone to help get it off. Also it comes with double sided tape already on the slats so that the mattress won't move which is great, but having a second person to help put the mattress on straight the first time would be very helpful. I didn't realize how sticky the tape actually was until it was too late which made it difficult to maneuver.
These weren't big issues, but this was for a guest bedroom and arrived the day before my guest came so I had no time to fix the sticker issue.
But otherwise this is a great bed so far! It seems very sturdy but has only been used a few nights

I've had this bed frame for about 2 months now and I've had issues since the first day but kept holding off the review. I rarely ever do reviews on amazon but I definitely had something to say about this product.

As you can see in the picture, the legs in the middle don't stay in place. I've tightened the bolts/screws, added anti-slip pads to the bottom and they just constantly veer off to one side with the slightest movement. When it moves out of place, the bed is no longer sturdy and super uncomfortable to sleep in (not knowing when it'll fall / break).

That being said, I was very excited for this item because it was exactly what I was looking for looks wise. Sad that the quality just wasn't there.

Super impressed with this frame. Incredibly easy to assemble. I put this together in 20 minutes LIKE A BOSS, all tools were included. Very sturdy and has a few rails with sticky tape on them to keep your mattress securely on the frame in the event of an earthquake or some wild love making. Also impressed with the overall quality and sheer sexiness of this beast. It is well suited to my apartment which has many leather bound books and smells of rich mahogany.

I liked how easy it was to put together. I did not like that there is no way to attach the headboard. I think I would get the 16" high frame if I had to do it again - just to make the bed seem as high as others. The frame has 'sticky strips' on top, to help prevent mattress shifting, but they make using a bed skirt impossible (choose the bed skirt or not having the mattress shift. This frame is very sturdy, but difficult/impossible to move once the mattress is on it - especially if on a thick pile carpet!

Just received two of these frames in full/double size. The frames were ordered and delivered within 24 hours! It took me just over an hour to put both of the frames together. Assembly was very easy. The best part is that there is a lot of storage under the bed, which can easily be concealed with a really nice quilt hanging over. Very please with this purchase!

sweet a$$ bed. i bought an ikea bed off kijiji and that was the biggest mistake of my lifeeeee. this bed cost me an extra bit of moula but we haven't broken it yet!!! it's super sturdy, it was fairly simple to put together (a med student and RMT put it together and we know nothing about tools or anything so must be pretty easy???) and we live in a tiny apartment so this bed actually allows us to store those little flexible boxes underneath which we store our clothes in, so we don't need a dresser or anything. would definitely purchase Zinus brand for future things like this!
