For breaks and to shoot the breeze, to relax and read a newspaper or magazine or use a phone or laptop. Converts into a bed for a nice siesta. I was surprised by the quality of the upholstery fabric and the cushioning is sturdy but not uncomfortable , feels more durable than I expected and it's going to handle our use. We needed one of these under 68 inches in length, and this one is just over 66 inches, perfect. This one is not meant to be the height of a normal couch or chair though, in case that's what you are looking for.

It’s nice n sleek. Although perfect for the space I have but otherwise a little in the smaller side. Not full size futon. Maybe ok for teenage kids but smaller for grownups.

I bought this futon for my studio apartment as I was debating whether or not I needed a bed. the upside is it looks great. It is comfortable enough for sitting on but there is very little cushion anywhere. makes a terrible bed for many reasons. I’m 5’5” with long legs so I usually need to sleep curled up to fit comfortably head to toe. If you’re shorter then maybe this will work better but it’s extremely hard and uncomfortable for the back. I wake up stiff every morning and was tossing and turning the first few nights. I regret this purchase.
