I purchased this on March 11 and it worked great until last week. We made sure there were no obstructions as that seemed to be an issue for some other people but that didn't help either. The base will not raise smoothly for the head or foot portion of the bed and makes a ticking noise while jerking up slowly. If we use any other pre-settings on the remote, it raises and lowers fine. Also, when we turn on the massage feature, it can't be turned off without unplugging the unit to reset it. We have replaced the batteries in the remote 2 times as we thought maybe this was a problem but no luck. This was way too expensive of a product to break after 2 months use. I am very disappointed. I emailed support and am hoping I hear back from them soon. I will update this review based on the feedback they offer. I have included a short video of what is happening and if you listen closely, you can hear the ticking noise I am talking about. In the video, we show each feature being used and you can clearly see that moving the head and foot portions up is a challenge to say the least. The other functions on the remote work except this time, the TV/PC function wouldn't work at all.
***Updated Review-May 27, 2017. I was contacted immediately after leaving this review and was sent a new control box and remote. The box is different than the original but so far so good. Customer service was excellent so I am adjusting my review to 5/5.
I got this bed frame on Thursday. Everything seemed to be going fine with it.. Every negative thing I read in the reviews didn't happen to me.. It went together easily, the legs didn't bend, nothing on it was broken or severed.. And that's where the good ends. Everything worked great for a few hours while I played around with it and tested all the controls.. Then I decided to try it in the full upright position. Once I got into the full upright position, the control box started beeping and every function stopped working. The motors didn't work, the massage didn't work.. nothing worked. I went through the trouble shooting procedures and tried unplugging it for 2 minutes (then 5 minutes, 10 minutes, overnight, etc). As soon as I plugged it back in it started beeping again and still didn't work. Here's the worst part: a major reason why I decided to buy this thing is that although the frame seems to have a lot of problems, reading the reviews it seemed like the company really stood behind their products. I read a few reviews that said when beds broke, the company would overnight the part that they needed. This is not the case for me. It broke the day I got it, I immediately e-mailed them to tell them what happened (I also mentioned the fact that I got rid of my old bed and now I have to sleep on the floor due to this bed being stuck in the full upright position), and now it's Monday and I just found out the parts I need won't be here until Thursday! That's a full week of sleeping on the floor. The rep I talked to doesn't seem to care. There is no apology or anything of that sort. I'm really regretting this purchase and I implore anyone reading this to pay close attention to the negative reviews. YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
***Update 7/7/2017*** I finally received the new control box and remote yesterday. It was an easy fix and I got it back up and running in less than 5 minutes. Fast forward to later that night, and my wife decides to press the zero G button. Instead of going into that position, it goes full upright, and it's stuck there. The head motor is now broken. I am now returning this piece of trash.
When my adult children put the bed together, it did not work! They checked wires here and checked wires there! It seemed that there was no way that it was getting electricity as the remote would do nothing. All the appropriate green lights were on, even the USB Port! Later after giving up for awhile, my son checked a You Tube Video and the remote had to be "Paired!" No where in the instructions was this mentioned! Thanks to his tenacity, the bed is now working properly!
I went into this purchase knowing full well that you do get what you pay for, but still wanting adjustable bed frame that would help me sleep better, would be acceptable by my wife, but not in the costing me as much as a used car. I purchased two twin XL units in order to form a king size bed. It took me 30 minutes each to put them together, with no drama. If you've assembled IKEA furniture for your house, you can put these together as well. I did it by myself but I would say that it would come in handy to have a helper assist you.
The frames function as intended. I'm using them with 12 inch Dynasty mattresses which I absolutely love. My biggest gripe is with the legs: they are made out of a super soft metal, or as I call it "Chinesium" :) This wouldn't be a big deal if they were straight, but my concern is that all 12 of these legs attached at a slightly different angle. If you look at my picture that I uploaded you'll see how they kick off to the sides in different directions. It's only a matter of time until one breaks because the load is not square. When that happens I will notify the manufacturer and report back on the results.
