I finally got around to building this bed on my own after getting it way back in July!
This bed pleasantly surprised me by how well packaged it was. Everything was intact, no scratches and just perfect condition!
- assembled it all on my own in 1 hour 15mins
- markings are really helpful
- all the holes align perfectly and the screws etc. are all well labelled and packaged
- the design is so well thought out and there's attention to detail in everything like the velcro matches the wood stain, the black velvet lining has matching black round bolts, there's rubber grip pads for every leg and middle support too.
- extremely glad that the styrofoam and thermocol was contained in plastic wrapping so that there was no mess and rogue pieces flying around.
Packaging was damaged in Shipping, so I expected issues when opening. Pleasantly surprised to find the bed completely safe inside another box, with the exterior box absorbing the damage. Unboxing was surprisingly clean, the foam that's usually included in these packages was wrapped in plastic bags so you didn't end up with a Styrofoam winter mess everywhere. All parts were detailed, labeled, and present, with some included spare bolts and parts. Instructions were in clear English with detailed pictures, and included was a racheting tool that made tightening easy. I skipped adding the middle supports on the outside rails to avoid stubbing toes at night, and there were no issues with them missing. Frame is solid, finish is a beautiful medium pine color. Assembled in less than an hour solo, easy if you've ever built boxed furniture, simple and straightforward
This bed makes me wish that I could give more than 5 stars to a product! I bought new mattresses recently for my boys and wanted to get them more than bed rails but not a full headboard set. I saw this and it fit exactly what I needed so I ordered 2. They arrived today (a day early!) and I started assembling them.
The first thing I noticed was the fact that it was very well packaged. Absolutely nothing was damaged. When I got into the box, the two things I appreciated the most were 1) all the styrofoam pieces were wrapped in plastic. How many times I’ve had to vacuum my new pieces of furniture, floors, walls, and everything within a 15 foot radius.. is absurd. There were zero rouge styrofoam balls wandering around. And 2) this came with a ratcheting Allen wrench. I saved my hands from a lot of blisters during this process!
The directions were completely clear, the hardware was nicely organized and labeled and every piece fit together flawlessly. There were no gaps, or forced together spots. It’s incredibly sturdy, very attractive and has a very clean appearance. I also LOVE that it takes the place of a box spring. It gives the whole bed a more balanced look.
If I ever need anything like this again, I will 100% check with this company first! I cannot recommend this enough!
When I first saw one of these frames, I couldn’t find one to buy so I had one hand made for me for $800. It was so creaky I couldn’t keep it. now these are popular and there are many different brands. This one is perfect! one of the reviews said it took 10 minutes to put together. well, it took me an hour but that’s OK. It’s got Velcro on the slats and screws and Allen wrenches, to put the pieces together. The directions use only pictures. Love it! All wood.
As a renter who moves regularly, I have tried cheap furniture, Ikea, and second hand items for mattress furniture. I have also just used a mattress on the floor. In previous apartment places, I have had storage options in the building. This time around, I moved to a place with no storage options in the building so I need to have space for my 3 luggages and 1 bin that held extra items accumulated over the past five years. I debated between wood and metal bed frame, but went with wood for the "aesthetics". Also wanted a medium budget range. This QUEEN bed frame fit what I was looking for. I purchased the 16 inch bed frame as it was the only option at the time AND KEEPA said it was the lowest price in 30 days. This was true because I had been manually keeping track of the price for about 70 days. Came packaged well under one huge package. Instructions came clear with all tools needed. I noticed some wood pieces are not straight, but there is enough storage for what I needed. The overall frame is light to move around, but I would still encourage to have a second person help move it so you don't damage/drag the unlifted side. Having two people will help preserve the wood's structure. I THOUGHT it would be 16 inches of storage, but it's 14 inches or so, and you can get all 16 inches if you lift the bed up so you can store items/bins. Took about 40 minutes to assemble. Could have done it faster if I used the spinning tool they give you. It also came with rubber grips to put at the bottom of the bed base for each corner, but I live in a carpet floor so I did not use mine.
Edit: The queen bed frame has a 12 inch at the exterior part of the frame. To get all 16 inches of storage lift up the bed.
I recently purchased the Solid Wood Platform Bed with Wooden Slats in Full Size, 12 inch, Grand Cherry, and I must say it has added a touch of elegance to my bedroom. The installation process was straightforward, and the non-slip tape provided was a thoughtful addition.
One minor hiccup in my experience was with the center support. It was a bit shorter than expected, and I had to improvise by using two pieces of cardboard to make up the difference. While this wasn't a major issue and didn't affect the overall stability of the bed, I would have preferred a more robust center support system.
Despite this small setback, the bed feels solid and well-made. I appreciate the quality of the solid wood and the sturdiness it provides. I haven't experienced any squeaks or wobbles, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.
Very comfortable easy to assemble.quality is good.
This bed was easy to assemble and is very stylish, but it’s so lightweight. Every time I even sit on it it slides out to the middle of the floor.
Update: bed is unsturdy, within one year of having this bed I have had to take the mattress off and tighten all the screws four times. Very frustrating experience.
