There aren't many reviews on the brown color so I thought I'd address that first. It's not a dark brown or a light brown. We like the color. I think it's kind of a dark gray with a brownish tint but my wife says it's mossy green so I'm not really sure how to describe it. You are probably better off just going off the pictures in the description which seemed accurate. The velvet material is very smooth and soft but not fuzzy. We have a dog and, at least through the first week, the fabric has held up well. Marks show up but are easily smoothed over by rubbing your hand over them. Hard to tell how the velvet will hold up over time but so far so good. The construction seems very sturdy including actual wood for the legs. Each section comes in its own box and it's obvious that they designed it to be shipped economically which is why the legs and back have to be installed but it's very easy. I would pay close attention to the dimensions provided in one of the pictures which are accurate. We really like that our feet can actually touch the ground (I am 5'6") which means the seats aren't very deep. I've seen several complaints about the low back on the seats. They are lower than a normal sofa but not a big deal to us since the back cushions make up most of the height difference. Again, this is why you should really pay close attention to the dimensions provided. The seats are definitely firm which we like and they have softened slightly during the first week of use. The back cushions are very soft and are not attached. They have zippers on the back so I guess you could remove the covers if you needed to. The best parts of this item are the functionality and that you don't have to move a 200lb sofa around since each module weighs about 50 lbs. Also, if one of the modules does get damaged they sell them separately on Amazon so it's easily replaceable (at a cost) rather than having to purchase a whole new sofa. Overall, we are very happy with this modular sofa. Most of the other reviews have mentioned the storage under each seat so I won't go into any detail on that but it is a big plus. This biggest negative, as others have mentioned, is the shipping. Ours was shipped by FedEx and the 8 boxes arrived sporadically over a 4-day period so we had to wait around all day for them to arrive, but we don't really blame the seller for that and the seller was very responsive to the issues we had related to the shipping.
I ordered this LLappuil Modular Sectional Sofa with Storage, Faux Leather Fabric 7 Seater Modular Sofa with Reversible Chaise, 112 Inch Convertible U Shape Sectional Couch with Ottomans because I wanted a fresh look in my living room. The items arrived in just a few days in separate boxes. I wish I had known that signature was required because it was a little challenging to coordinate my schedule to be home for delivery. I ordered the color Cognac, but I received the Brown instead. One reason I wanted the Cognac besides the lighter color is that it was faux leather, and the Brown is listed as a different material. Customer service was good about responding to my messages with my concern for the wrong color. I actually liked the new color which looks a little more gold or tan than brown, and figured the fabric may be better with pets, so I told them I would be willing to keep it as long as they honored the $200 coupon that came with the brown color. I was happy that they agreed to honor it.
I have arthritis in my hands, but I found the items pretty easy to assemble. Each piece got easier as I figured things out. It was more challenging to break down all the boxes than to assemble the furniture! The furniture feels very well made, and it's pretty comfortable. I like the pillows that came with it a lot, but I added some nice marine-themed pillows that I thought would go great with the Cognac color, but they actually look pretty nice with the Brown, too.
I love the look and the function of the sectional sofa, and it's comfortable, though a little on the firm side. There is plenty of storage. The only thing is that there are little gaps between the pieces when you assemble them, and the gap where I sit seems to like to swallow my remote and my cell phone. :) Still, it's easy to retrieve things when this happens, and I look forward to enjoying my furniture for many years to come!
I have had the same old overstuffed leather couch for years. I was tired of all the space in my living room being taken up by furniture so I figured what better way to save space than to get this couch. It’s been amazing! Not only is there a ton of storage, but I can move the pieces around according to my needs. It was simple to put together (easier if you follow your own logic than the directions), and if you decide to move the ottomans to a different area of the couch, you can easily bolt the pieces together with the included tools to keep them from moving around. I purchased the denim and was surprised by how soft and comfortable the cushions truly are. The instructions do warn that the color could fade if continually in direct sunlight. Mine was originally delivered in a single shipment of 7 boxes, with all pieces in perfect condition. My living room now looks much roomier and I’m thrilled with the purchase!
Fun couch for a beach house! I bought 2 sets and there are loads of configurations for parties, naps, cozy movie nights, etc. It was very well packaged and easy to put together. The couch is waterproof and withstands damp bathing suits and sunscreened skin. But it is also soft and does not stick to bare leggs like some pleathor does. The fact that every single piece has storage is a huge bonus. The color is soft blue, which works well with the water view. I researched extensively and was nervous about ordering because I knew I would not be able to ship it back if anything was wrong. But no worries at all. I had one small issue with my shipment and customer service was excellent. The seller actually cares about it's customers and my issue was promptly and fully resolved. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase high priced items from this seller in the future.
Only complaint is that the armrests are a bit loose, which isn't great when you have kids. I worry they'll break the sides by sitting too roughly. Still, a lovely piece of furniture!
