Directions were really easy and it went together quicker than I thought. The only irritating thing was having to tighten nuts and only being able to turn 1/8 of the way when they were in a corner and there was no space to move.

It is hard. Like, I’m going to buy a foam pad and make cushions type hard. I’m sure it would be easier to sleep on than sit, but I have padding on my butt and it’s still way too hard. Skinny people with no behind would probably want to avoid sitting for any length of time at all.

I got the orange and I really like the color - it’s that deep autumn orange, nothing bright. It also looks nice. You’ll definitely want pillows to put beside the arms - they’re narrow and rock hard. You can’t sit anything on them either.

Overall it’s okay for my needs - I needed an absolute rock bottom price couch as my daughter’s dog literally started eating my couch cushions on my last couch and my two dogs joined in the fun. I have noticed there’s no difference in quality between $300 couches and $900 couches, and unless you’re getting a really nice one that costs thousands you may as well go cheap and replace often. I paid $153 for it and that’s about what it’s worth. The wood frame seems to be soft pine that I would be hesitant to use for anything other than a picture frame. I’ll update in time regarding wear and tear.

It works be nice in a home office or spare room for sure, but it’s not really a main couch type.

Okay, so I waited a couple months after purchasing to review this couch. Glad I did though!

First things first. I put this couch together myself and it has been my most proud piece of furniture installation I’ve ever done! It was not complex at all, the only problem is, it’s freaking heavy!! Not too heavy but a bit too much for me to do alone, although I got it done in a span of 3 hours with breaks.

I’ve have nothing but compliments on the color and style of this couch! Everyone loves it, including myself. I think it definitely fits the aesthetic I was going for.

As for comfortability, guests have spent the night and have only had one issue. If there are 2 people sleeping on this couch, have the lighter guest sleep on the side that is the backrest. I have had a guest fall back towards the wall from doing the opposite! It was funny but could definitely cause some complaints.
In addition to that, this is not my favorite couch to snuggle up in as I am tall and the depth of the seat is not too big. But it serves its purpose for the price and overall appearance of it!

I would recommend this as a starter futon or a non-frequently used piece of furniture. For me it is providing the necessity that I need it for as it is my first living room piece!

I still recommend this as going day to day I can enjoy using the futon.

Okay, so I purchased this couch expecting that the comfort level would be minimal as stated by most of the reviewers. They were right... it's not comfortable at all. Having said that, it does keep me from being a lazy bum on the couch for long periods of time. It's comfortable 'enough' to sit on it and watch one movie, but beyond that, it doesn't hold up in the comfort category. It looks great though, and overall I'm happy with the purchase given how affordable this is.

For such a cheap price I wasn't expecting a lot, but I'm impressed. It arrived with all required hardware nicely packaged and easy to find, and I like how some pieces are stored within the futon. This will make it easy to disassemble and move when needed. I put it together in about 40 minutes. I agree with other reviewers that having a ratchet to tighten hardware makes it much easier than with the provided little wrench.

This sits in my home office and is just comfortable enough to use for seating there; not too plush, but not like a rock, either. I'll plan on adding a foam mattress pad when guests use it. Pulled out, I think it's a little wider than a twin size bed. The fabric is linen-like, but smoother and shinier. So far, dog fur brushes off of it easily. Very happy!

The futon is as described and as shown on the picture. However, very small and not comfortable to sit at all. Looks great and might be used in some guest room that is very rarely used. If you are planning to use daily, not recommended.

It looks so nice but isn’t super comfortable to sit on. I bought for my office but also wanted it as a guest bed. I have used as a bed when family come over and with a memory foam mattress pad on it I’m told it’s comfortable. Overall I’m happy with it for the over all look and colour but disappointed with the seated comfort.

Not a terrible couch. I read all the horrible reviews and purchased it anyway because it was a good price. After assembling I can see why people rated it so low and said the quality was terrible. It’s not because the quality was terrible, but because the assembly was so difficult. Some of the hex screws take so long to assemble properly and tighten properly that I understand why people though the quality was bad. I assume most people claiming this product to be loose and easily breakable didn’t tighten some of the bolts all the way in, because I thought the same thing until I spent about an hour tightening them with all my strength. Once I had done that, and used up 2 hours of my time and all of my available energy, the couch was secure and held together well. It obviously doesn’t match my to the lazboy or other couches I’ve had in the past, but it’s comfortable enough and i would say a good value for the money

This futon is a fairly great value for the money. The color is not exactly and is much lighter than the listing photo. A lot different. The futon is somewhat easy to assemble however it is very heavy to lift from the packaging. I had to get a friend to help me. Additionally it is somewhat uncomfortable. I was not looking for it to be soft but is very firm. Finally it sits very low to the floor. I’ve given it four stars as it’s hard to complain much given the low price. Despite all this I do recommend it.
