Overall this bed is very nice. It's very heavy and takes quite a long time to put together. Took us about 5 hours and I'm pretty handy. There was caution on one step from another reviewer and even though we tried to pay attention, we still got it wrong. Check the other reviews because I don't remember the step off hand. It's not that it's irrecoverable. It just ends up taking a while to figure it out. After it's all put together while it's sturdy it wobbles a bit. I ended up bolting it to the wall stud to keep it from being so wobbly. It's not that it's going to crack or fall or break but the wobbling is a little bit unnerving. I also bolted the shelving unit to the bed frame to give it a little bit more stiffness. Overall. I had no trouble with the boards fitting together or holes lining up. Everything was pre-drilled as appropriate. Unlike other reviews. All the hardware was included and was sufficient. Four stars because it's a little bit wobbly and the directions on the one step could have been clear to save about 30 minutes to 1 hour for us.
I’ve just started putting this together and am already redoing my steps. It’s not hard but the majority of the pieces are not labeled and the ones that are labeled have to be thoroughly searched. Then there’s the picture on the instructions, they’re a puzzle within their selves. Like is the picture upside down or is the hole on the piece in the same place as the picture. It’s really confusing. I’ve put numerous projects together and this one is the biggest challenge. I feel like I’m doing this from scratch. If I had known it would have been a big no. The bed is very nice that’s why I ordered it. Once I finish I’m sure I’ll be happier. Someone maybe the manufacturer should definitely do a tutorial. I’m not tutorial savvy. And I hope the piece in the picture is not a game buster because it looks like it was patched up.
My daughter loves it. It’s very cute, decent quality but a little wobbly when my daughter moves or turns over in her bed. 1 of the pieces was labeled incorrectly so I had to take loose 8 screws to switch the parts then reassemble. You get what you pay for.
First, you need a drill. This took me and my husband 6 hours to put together. Pay attention to the G, G1, G2, G3 pieces. They have to be facing particular way for the holes to be in the right place for the desk units. We had to redo a couple steps after we figured out our mistake. It was frustrating and we were ready to kill one another. BUT it’s really cute and sturdy. Definitely need a 6-inch mattress. We had a 10-inch and it was over the guardrail.
I only gave this product two stars bc the shipping was fast, the price was reasonable and it’s an ok looking bed BUT it took my husband and I (who have six children and have put together MANY beds) 6.5 hours to put this thing together!! We kept running into pieces that had the holes drilled into the incorrect spots, which in turn made us have to forgo the side desk and only be able to build the back desk. We had already spent so much time and effort on building it and it was a surprise room makeover for our daughter that is coming back from camp today, that there was not any way around just figuring out a way to build it with what we had. We also had to secure pieces by drilling in the screws without locking pieces due to the fact that the main G-G3 holes were drilled incorrectly. So so frustrating! Don’t purchase unless you are willing to spend the time “fixing” pieces like we had to!
This bed is so inexpensive and reasonably solid, especially at this price point. I'm loving the floor space in my room.
Climbing in and out of bed is a pain, but I knew that when I got it.
The bed went together well and the instructions were clear. Get a friend to read them if you're diagram patience challenged.
