I dunno, I can't double check if the grams are right or not without it
This product works great and accurate and so easy to use.
This small scale is accurate and convenient. It doesn't take up much space because of its size, which is nice in an apartment without a lot of countertop real estate to speak of. It's rechargeable, which is nice, and I found it very easy to use. Because it is so small, though, you have to be careful not to obscure the display with whatever you are measuring. It was very intuitive switching from measuring units, such as grams and ounces. And the tare function is really handy when you're putting various ingredients into a bowl, but want to keep the serving size consistent. All in all, it's a good product.
I like the surface size of this scale and the fact that it uses "normal" AA batteries. Our other scale used a round battery which were harder to source. It works fairly well. The frustrating thing for me is that when you press the tare button, it doesn't always zero out and I have to do it more than once or twice sometimes. As we weigh our 12 cats' food before feeding having to do this countless times for each cat gets a little tiresome. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this and hope it holds up to the wear and tear we are giving it.
This food scale is just the right size. It can weigh up to 33lb, and I like to add it to the bowl with different cake ingredients on top. The data is accurate.
This scale is a beautiful stainless design, almost too pretty and perfect to use. I'm afraid I'll scratch it or get it dirty. It's very sensitive and precise. I took of one star for ease of use because it has SO many unit settings that it's trickier to switch between grams and ounces than my other scales are. It's also a little hard to make it turn off. It seems to press and hold the left button for about 3 seconds works, but once you pick it up and interact with it, it turns on again. I love that it's rechargeable because that probably doesn't matter. Feels like it MIGHT be less durable than other kitchen scales I have. The unit is super thin, maybe only 5/8" and springs feel somehow fragile. But the accuracy is ample for my uses; hyper-precision isn't necessary in my kitchen. Great value
Worked fine for 5 weeks, then just completely stopped working
Note about the battery options:
The scale has an internal rechargeable battery that doesn't appear to be replaceable, which is separate from the normal AAA batteries that it also takes. If you're going to recharge it, REMOVE the AAA batteries and don't use them at all. The only reason to use the AAA batteries is if you aren't going to use the USB charger. If you leave the AAA batteries in while recharging with the USB charger, it could damage the unit internally. (They didn't design the scale to switch off the connection to the AAA batteries when the rechargeable battery is charged up.)
In any case, it's better to leave standard batteries out as a general practice, because they will eventually leak and corrode if left in a device.
The scale is otherwise intuitive and easy to use -- a nice little scale with a small footprint but a large weight capacity.
There are two buttons. The left button is the on/off button. After it's turned on, a short press on the left button will "tare" the scale, which means resetting it to zero weight. For example, you could put a measuring cup on the scale and tare it (reset it to zero weight) to take out the weight of the cup and weigh only the contents. A long press turns the scale off.
The right button scrolls through all the various units of measurement, including separate displays for water (which displays in milliliters) and another labelled "milk" (which is actually heavier than water).
We did not have the problem of the results not displaying long enough; the weight displayed for about 2 minutes before the unit turned itself off.
