Sturdy, durable and pretty. Great price and we’ll worth it
This is a lovely frame, my grandchild is very happy with it. It appear sturdy and is easy to move. I did assemble it myself but it would have been a little easier if I had a helper.
Easy to Assemble
My grand daughter lover her new bed. It dont rattle or squeak
Bought this for my 16 y/o son to replace an older bed. We assembled this bed frame together and it took us less than an hour to complete. I'm satisfied with this product.
They are not twist in, they lay across and pop in
At first, I was dreading putting this bed together because it was an entire bed in a small box which meant a ton of pieces. I got all the parts laid out in numeric order and it wasn't as bad as I thought. There are poles that run across the part on which the mattress lays. That was probably the worst part of the assembly. It worked better for us to insert those poles with that section laying on the floor. There are small bumps on the ends of those cross poles that fit the "keyhole" opening in the side rails. If you don't get those in correctly, the two bottom sections won't line up to be attached. It was a simple fix though when we discovered what the problem was.
I think it's safe to say that twin beds are primarily used for kids. This one does sit a bit low to the ground and only uses a mattress-no box spring. The head and footboards are low too so if you have pillows propped up on the headboard end, you will likely not be able to see the headboard. The mattress we used took up much of the space and the comforter was super snug at the foot of the bed. If you use a bedskirt, make sure that the one you choose has three separate sections in order for it to hang properly. It's not a heavy piece of furniture but it's perfectly fine for a youngster.
This bed came in a fairly small box but it was heavy. Assembly instructions consist of not-so-detailed diagrams with no text. On the positive side, all pieces and hardware had labels on them for easy identification.
There were a few assembly issues that required disassembly to address. For example, the bed base consists of two halves. Each half has two outside pieces on the long sides. One end of each of these pieces is different from the other end of the same piece. The ends of the two pieces must match when you install the base, or you will need to redo the assembly!
The base was tricky to assemble by one person because the metal rods tend to fall off if you don’t keep the outer pieces close to each other. On the other hand, you cannot tighten the bolts as the rods will not go into their slots without enough clearance. Too much clearance and the rods you already assemble will fall out! To succeed in this step, you need 4 people to hold on to the different rods! Or like my son said, one person with eight hands can do it!
One interesting observation: some of the rods in the base rotate easily and quickly while others don’t move at all. We are not sure whether that’s normal.
After some work, we managed to complete the assembly using the included Allen wrench and other small wrench. It would have gone quicker with power tools.
The bed it self looks nice and seems to be sturdy. It’s a beautiful looking metal bed.
