I could write a BOOK about this wonderful addition to our home! My Mother's interior design and decoration results have appeared in many of the top magazines. I grew up learning just how difficult it can be to create any room that meets, much less, exceeds people's expectations. Though it is not MY profession I have voluntarily assisted patients who are attempting to live in a more "intentional" environment. Expensive doesn't mean "better." And just because something appears in a magazine doesn't mean it would suit YOUR lifestyle! After more than 3 years of almost living within the hospital system at America's Original Epicenter of COVID-19, I finally have had some time to refresh our home, which includes the new office for my husband's remote work. I am so appreciative of each of the thoughtful reviews left on Amazon. I ignore the ones that aren't. Whether a review contains one sentence of clarity or pages of "and another thing...," when someone is willing to put their opinion forward I don't need to agree to be thankful it's there. So, because this sofa/couch, and the company, has had such a wonderful impact I hope some of you may read this review. I am NOT connected to the company in any way. First, buying furnishings online can certainly feel like being on a trapeze with no net! I purchased the, then, called White-white color of this 85"L couch. I THINK that's the color AmerLife now calls Light Gray. The one called Beige in their lower AD was called simply "White," when I saw the colors below the initial photo. I am sure the folks at AmerLife will keep fine-tuning their presentations going forward. Why? Because this is actually a company that CARES! I ask a lot of questions. I watched when and how AmerLife answered anyone's questions, including mine. Imagine a company adding more photos and changing their descriptions because one person, just one, asked a question! THAT is a great trust-builder in my opinion. Imagine a company reshooting a piece because one person said that what they received wasn't what THEY thought the color name indicated. The questions and answers disappeared between the time I made the purchase (late April) and now. Back then, in answer to a question about the difference between white and white-white, the company offered, "think of white as a warm white and white-white as a cold white." For ME that was a great answer. I didn't ask the question. When I asked a question I received an onsite answer and a personal invite to ask more directly from the firm. Here, on Amazon, I'm a nobody and an everybody, at least to this company. I should say, "To the people who make-up this company." So many people are raised to avoid WHITE furnishings, even LIGHT COLORED furnishings. "They show dirt quickly, they must be cleaned more often, your children/pets can't be on them,...." I get it, I understand. Cold/cool/white is the absence of color; it reflects what's near it, on it, around it. THAT'S why the best restaurants' china/dishes, the best hotels' linens, the best brilliant diamonds are all WHITE! A white T-shirt is always a perfect addition to a wardrobe. The same thing with a white crisp shirt (for males or females). White "invites" any and all colors! Now, how much it reflects and in what way requires knowing what the "white" thing consists of. AmerLife repeatedly describes this couch as being made using "Boucle" [sorry, I am not able to add the accent here]. Nowhere does it indicate that the couch is made from "Sherpa," as some reviews indicate with pleasure. I hope you will look up both terms in your search engine. Boucle indicates how a fiber is created, Sherpa has multiple definitions, none of which most would deem a wonderful fabrication for this couch; baby blankets, slippers, sure, but not a couch. Boucle doesn't define what the actual fabric is, nor whether it is woven or knitted. It also doesn't inform potential buyers if the fabric is shiny or matte or a combination. (Yeah, I kindof, sortof know this "stuff.") These few bits of info, I hope, help anyone considering any major furniture purchase to stay curious! Add-to-the-mix...your lighting, the color of your walls, side tables, flooring, phase-of-the-moon [LOL], weather, time of day, season, pillows, drapes, blinds, textures, and so on. Hey, I'm just getting started. LOL You may ask, "Is all of this why it's so hard for your Mother to be a great interior designer/decorator?" That would be a "no." "Is it because people are so demanding?" Another "no." The hardest part of any good professional's job is receiving an answer to , "How would you like feel when you (and/or others) are here?" "Here" can mean, "healthy, better, in this home, room, employed again, a lawyer, driving this car..." The most selfish thing you can do is give more than they asked for, dreamed of, could have afforded. AmerLife offers MORE even before you make a purchase. These incredibly "selfish" people made certain that AFTER I made my purchase I received the two boxes, containing the parts to the couch, days earlier than promised, then quickly responded to a simple non-demanding info message that said one of the boxes arrived bulging...it had been retaped. No hint of a complaint; I had none, just took photos. You would have thought they were just down the street, because the offer of "whatever you may need or want..." arrived FAST. Top to bottom quality! Yes, the instructions could be tweaked a bit, but those folks will walk you through the process if you ask. Initially my husband WAS concerned about WHITE and the "low back". He got over those "hurdles" as soon as, "I spread my arms out on this very comfortable couch!" Since I love to change things up I bought a large rug that contains huge palm leaves and gorgeous exotic flowers, which will be switched out in the fall with a Mohawk brand rug I am purchasing on Amazon. Joofo Sky LED Torchiere lamps are placed on each end. These are also from Amazon. I love them. The remotes allow you to adjust their luminous quality (Warm-Cool), brightness, 5%-100%, on/off, and to hand adjust the angle (tilt) of each "top." Right now the couch is "backed" with 2 side-by-side sets of raised Claude Monet Reversible Printed Screen Dividers, opened completely (so they are flat against the wall), also purchased from Amazon. Currently "The Artist's Garden at Giverny" almost touches the ceiling. In the Fall the other sides, "The Waterlily Pond," will show. I have stained glass lamps that can provide a combination of Fall & Winter tones. These lamps are antiques. I can also click the torchieres to a warm setting. VOILA! This gorgeous white couch, with different accent pillows, et al, will easily slip from season to season. Oh, and whatever YOU choose can do this, too. Making an intentional purchase doesn't mean I have to buy every single thing at once. To me, buying a couch is like buying a car...it is an investment. A car anchors my main mode of travel here, the couch anchors my living/gathering room. Beds anchor sleep areas. Almost everything else can be rotated, repurposed, exchanged. I have other furniture for this room. One is a new Lazy-boy recliner that was custom covered. The customer moved without paying so I purchased it for $100, then, recently, purchased 2 sets of covers for it; one will suit this time of year and the 2nd will be great for Fall, Winter, anytime really. I could have made the covers but, again, Amazon offered just what I wanted at great prices. To the people at AmerLife, thank you, thank you, thank you. To anyone who reads this review I wish you a wonderful summer and holiday season this 2023. I also hope you use AmerLife's standard of top-quality design & execution AND their consumer-centric attention if you make the decision to look for furniture. They set a high bar and you deserve nothing less. Cheryl

COLOR/TEXTURE
The white is a warm eggshell color and the fabric texture is a good quality bouclé. It’s soft and has a good inner spring for support. The seating is deep and comfortable enough to sleep on.

MAINTENANCE
Make sure you own a wet upholstery vacuum for regular spot cleaning— it is, after all, a white sofa. After having it as my primary seating area in the living room for a couple of months, not having have kids or pets, I noticed from a distance that the left armrest area was a bit dingier than the rest of the sofa. And even though I don’t generally sit around in my dirty outside clothes, it just didn’t appear as bright as it was when I first got it. I’m glad I purchased a green machine upholstery vacuum along with the sofa. After a quick spot cleaning and running the pillowcases through a cold rinse cycle in the machine, it was restored to its original like-new condition.

ASSEMBLY
It took just under three hours for me to assemble on my own, had I had an extra set of hands it would’ve taken me half the time. The back legs are a bit trickier than anticipated when I first set it up as they bent forward a bit, but they were sturdy enough to bend back in place and are holding up well. Excellent quality for the price.
Ordered this sofa for my office at work. It came in two separate boxes which arrived on different days, both arrived pretty quickly. The assembly was easy, I’m a small woman and put this together in probably 30-40 mins, mostly by myself and just needed some muscle from another female coworker to hold the legs in place/make them line up with the holes when screwing them in place. It was very easy though. I like the color and I think the “cold white” description in the listing was accurate. It’s an icy white as opposed to warm white. There are gray threads in the fabric but you don’t notice the gray unless you’re looking up close for it. From a few feet away it appears it’s just a standard white color. I put a piece of standard white printer paper on it for reference. Comfort wise it’s not bad - I could take a nap on it or relax on it, it’s not too firm and not too soft. The fabric is soft. I will say the back is lower than most sofas but I think that’s the trend now. Works great for my office, looks nice and modern.
I was really afraid to buy a couch without ever touching or seeing it in person, but I was SO pleasantly surpirsed. Blessed to have read the reviews and took the risk and I am literally so so happy I bought it. It is really soft and plush and better quality than some other more expensive couches I looked at in stores. Everyone raves at how cute it is when they come over. Delivery was easy and it was really easy to assemble too. The gold accent legs are so cute and just take this up to the next level. Size is perfect too, cannot shut up about the great purchase. It's been 5 months since I bought it and it's in perfect condition.
