Very cute mid century style couch but this is more for occasional use/looks than functionality. The couch is small height wise. The width is good and you can lay across it if need be but sitting down on it is a different story. Your upper back and head will not be resting on the back pillow cushions. I'm short and this is a small couch. We purchased this for our office space for occasional use and when the kids have days off and need to come with us and sit to watch tv on or relax. The bottom seat part is very firm but doesn't hurt. I'm used to having a real couch at home so this feels like a childs sized couch which is like a cushioned bench. For the price that's what to expect. From the reviews I was honestly expecting it to be better. Not really too disappointed as you get what you pay for. If you're buying this to lounge on at home I would pass. It's not comfy enough to do that. I forgot about assembly.... it's a horrific nightmare. I put together lots of furniture. The directions were terrible and were very hard to figure out. I had to redo one part that really took extra time and that could have been avoided if the directions were clearer. Buy it for looks and an office space but not as a regular couch. Save up and buy something else if that's the case.
This couch works wonderfully for the price. It is firm like the rest of the reviews mention but it doesn’t necessarily make it uncomfortable.
I built it yesterday and if you tighten all of the screws properly it is incredibly sturdy.
A lot of the reviews mention the difficulty of building this couch, and while yes it wasn’t the easiest piece of furniture I’ve built it wasn’t terrible. (Definitely not as hard to build as any ikea furniture I’ve bought) the most difficult part was fully tightening the back legs of the couch because they are slanted. (The legs are slanted also, so if you want this flush against a wall it might not work!)
The color really brings together my office, and altogether I’m very pleased with it,
I wouldn’t recommend this as a main living room couch but as extra seating or in a dorm or office this is perfect :)
For the price of ~$220 each, they were worth it. Couple of important things to note:
1.) These are difficult to build and the instructions were very unhelpful, my boyfriend figured it out but it was very annoying.
2.) Also, these are not very comfortable and feel more like a futon. This was not a problem for us, as we bought them to be in our formal living room, wnf more for looks/extra seating. These couches wouldn’t be good for daily use/tv watching/lounging in my opinion. They were just fine for less frequent use though and worked well for us
We had an rv that had a faux leather couch that was starting to peel. It was also very uncomfortable. I don’t understand why others complain about the size. Measurements are clearly listed and tape measures are inexpensive to buy if you don’t have one on hand. It is firm but I expected that. I like that it is one solid cushion on the seat so there are no gaps. I wanted the back cushions to be more full so I went to WM and bought two inexpensive bed pillows and put inside the cushion covers. Now they are perfect. I had considered a futon instead of this couch but honestly I have never found a futon that is actually comfortable to sleep on. My husband assembled in about half an hour and had no issues.
It’s a couch and, for the cost, it’s damn good looking and sturdy. I put it together myself and it was as difficult as you would expect but I just followed the directions - like you should. The seat is very firm - but after using it for about 3 weeks it’s softening up. It’s perfect for a small apartment or space - I’m 5’4 and I fit comfortably lying down with pillows.
I have to admit my expectations were low for the couch. Just over $200? Can't be good. I must say it arrived quickly and was easy to assemble, perfect size and color, and quite attractive. The seat is definitely firm but it works for me. The construction seems better than one would expect for this price. You will not be disappointed if you plan to use this on occasion and not as a TV watching sofa.
I’m not no spring chicken and yes it took me by myself 4 hours to put it together, the easiest part was the zipper
