Bought this dehydrator thinking it would be an upgrade form the plastic one I was using before and it was easier to clean. Unfortunately the fan would shut off intermittently causing big issues when trying to use it. After a few months the fan stopped working completely and now the dehydrator is completely useless.

Update
After contacting Amazon support they directed me to the manufacturer because the Amazon warranty had expired. Manufacturer replaced the dehydrator and the new one is working perfectly.

This is the perfect machine for me! I read a lot about dehydrators before buying and I'm so glad I purchased this one. It is lightweight stainless it has 6 shelves with a timer and is so quiet. It has a clear door on front so you can see what's happening. I've made jerky in it and the six shelves is a suficent size for 3 and 1/2 to 4 lbs of meat. You can control the temperature and time and it has all the features I wanted. I'm so happy with this product. I read about Excalibur but my refrain from buying was the noise I read in reviews. That was important and this one is so quiet you don't always hear it. It also cleans up,great and doesn't give off strong smells or retain them after cleaning. I just love this machine and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good reliable dehydrator!

I looked up and down for the right dehydrator and settled on this one.

I love the looks and the ease of use.

The ease of use is amazing, set the temp, set the time and forget about it until it's done.

I have made quite a lot of jerky, both using hamburger and meat -(even made cat fish jerky) along with banana and apple chips -(tip for them sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on them, they go fast)

For really easy cleaning I put tinfoil on the bottom to catch the drips.

The best part is saving money on jerky and it's better for you than store bought.

I have only used my stainless steel dehydrator 2x to dehydrate my favorite year round snack, dried strawberries. This replaced an older plastic round dehydrator. That one took 6 hrs to dry my berries, The new Cosori took just under 3 hrs! I love the fact that it is stainless steel, has stainless trays, not plastic. I took a class on dehydrating foods. The instructor stated that square machines were better to use than round. Of course getting rid of plastics was good too! I read thru all the reviews of a variety of dehydrators on the market & selected the Cosori based on other comments. It concerns me somewhat that some reviewers state that this machine gives out after just a few rounds of dehydrating. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will have this machine for many years of good use, as was with my old plastic one. At least the metal trays won't break apart.

This unit is easy to use and I like that the temperature can be changed in 1 degree increments. I would also say this unit is very quiet. I have it in the other room but my old Nesco could be heard but not this one. I keep the plastic tray it comes with on the bottom for easy clean up. The wire trays also clean up easily. Just give it as quick soak and if you have a brush type dish cleaner, it's a breeze... or just stick them in the dishwasher!

I mainly purchased it to make beef jerky for us and treats for the dogs. I am satisfied with this unit and I recommend this dehydrator for anyone looking for something that has a wide range of temperature, time and is priced well.

If you are looking for a quality built dehydrator that is a extremely quiet machine, then put this one in your buggy! Easy to setup and use. Packaged very well. No damage. To start... Place your prepared fruit/veggies/meats/herbs/flowers etc on the stainless steel racks (6) and set the time and temp and walk away...you can open the door at any time to turn things if you want and/ or see it all thru the glass door. The timer shows the remaining time left and the temperature you set. Nice feature. I figured it would be stuffed in a closet, and not allowed to sit out when not using....but it seriously looks like a mini oven and not big and chunky. Sleek. Yet, amazingly holds a lot of items. Nice addition to use every day. Loved the cookbook that came with it. Very detailed. A section to let you know precisely what temp and time to use for things you are drying. Quality product. Don't hesitate to buy. Shipping was so fast I wasn't prepared to start dehydrating, so I sent the hubby to the store. Hehe
I would suggest to buy more liners for smaller items or use parchment cut to size, not wax paper.

I really like this dehydrator, beginning with the loquats, mulberries, lemons, oranges, and flowers. The machine is quiet, the stainless steel meshes are easy to clean. I only wish there is smaller grid of stainless mesh available for purchase, because I don’t like use plastic for drying the food which’s I am going to eat it later. I want to dry goji berries and loquat seeds. Overall this is a good dehydrator, and I am drying a lot of fruits, it taste pretty good, didn’t lose flavor.

all i can say is this is a great dehydrator, i'm sure there are a few lemons for everything, but i didn't get one. i got this around june 3rd 2019 and has been used for many hours and many things, the recipe book is also great. if you like the benefits of dehydrating then this is the unit you want, thank you

I have tried beef jerky, dried apples and pineapple chunks, all have come out perfect. This is so quiet you would never know it is on. What I have noticed is that the times are a lot less than what they call for in the cookbook that comes with it. Other than that this thing is perfect!

I just got the dehydrator a couple of weeks ago. We have done strawberries, apples ,herbs(Tyne, sage,) without any problems. The only thing is, I checked the temp with a back up oven thermometer and probe and the 125 degree came back at122.5 and the 145 came in at 143.5. All else work perfectly. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This looks great. The build quality is great.

It is very quiet which is important as it runs for a long time.

Packed to capacity it produces a consistent even dry. I've had another driers and I kid you not the fruit and veg tastes better dried with this horizontal drier vs my old vertical drier. I love the fruit leather/ drip tray in the bottom. It makes drier clean up easier.

I love that the metal trays work well in the dishwasher. They are sturdy. The controls are super easy to uses.

I return it! Yes I gave 5 star but return it. Actually I bought a plastic one before this but return as well becoz the smell of plastic. , so I recommend people don’t buy the plastic one at all!!The reason that I return this item is not because is not good, only because it’s missing one tray and at the same time I realized it’s too big for my kitchen, so, I returned it. But I will buy in the future as I am planning to move. It’s little big expensive, so make sure you will use it, or otherwise it’s a waste.
