I've used it for multiple purposes. First, I'm diabetic and it helps me to weigh certain foods to determine the nutritional characteristics. Secondly, I've used it to determine water amount in odd containers. Third - more unusual: I used it to determine the weight of a light-weight battery operated leaf-blower my wife uses on our porches. It needs replacing and she likes the very light weight of this one.

I got the black one. It fits nicely on top of our microwave. One wouldn't even know it was there unless making a concerted look. I've not tried wetting the whole thing; I've just needed to wipe it now and then. Fingerprint smudges are the worst culprit. I've not tested for accuracy per se, but I can say it gives consistent readings.

The tare function and the button to change units of measure both work well, directly, and simply. Very convenient.

I can read the numbers just fine, even with cataract eyes!

It seems reasonably sturdy.

The auto shut off was 90 seconds on the dot. I've not had it shut off in the middle of anything I was doing; that seems sufficiently long enough.

Update: after using this for a while, I can positively comment on accuracy. The readings I get are VERY consistent with both what containers say their contents weight, AND what I get when I weight cuts of meat and things weighed at the butcher shop/grocery store. Thumbs up on accuracy. This thing has been way more helpful than I thought it would be.

 Hands down the best food scale. First: the look of it is amazing! Second: it’s extremely accurate. 3: it’s really easy to read due to the bright blue light. 4: it’s long and wide. The scale I replaced was circular. About the size of a bowl. The problem I would always have was when I put a plate on it. The number would always move. This scale is big enough to support any plate or bowl.

Tested it with 1 kilogram of a Tungsten block, reads exactly 1,000 which is impressive!
Seems to be a bit shaky in the +/-1g range, which is sufficient for me considering it goes up to 10kg.
Other than that, looks nice and glass surface feels nice.

A great scale! Reasonably priced, fast measurement, clear digital display. I bought this to replace an old digital scale. I was eyeing the more expensive OXO, but I am very glad I bought this instead. Overall, a great product for a great price.

It has been a good replacement for one very similar that did not last 2 years.

It has the capacity to weigh much more that just foods and such.

I user it to weigh my growing Ball Python but have also used it recently to weigh a few rifles fro 6-12lbs.

I am very satisfied but time will tell if it outlast the other scale, 2yrs.

Love this digital weight scale. It's not only beautiful to look at but it's so accurate. With just my husband and I we only want a small cake and it's been troublesome to just bake half a cake from a mix, but I took a the nicewell scale and halved a cake mix right down to the point ounces so I could bake only half a cake and it worked beautifully. Right down to the point 22 ounces. I love it for making it easier to divide meat up also. It's so much cheaper to buy the bigger packages and sort them by weight on this. It's also easy to wipe clean but I haven't put it in water like the picture shows. I just wipe it off and dry it. So far no problems or issues. Love it.
