These bags are literally the worlds best garbage bags. I spent my working career as a design engineer. The design of these bags is the best available. The handles are molded in with ample radiuses where the handles connect to the bag to ensure maximum tensile strength, I have never had a handle tear loose from a bag. These bags are simple, easy to use and simply the best available. Used in the proper container the handles simply stretch over the garbage cans handles and totally stabilize for extreme ease of using. when full simply lift the inserted bag and tie the super strong handles together. All of the other bag types with built in draw string handles are very weak and only used as a marketing ploy to imply added value to justify a higher price, even though this product is much weaker and much more wasteful. Please fellow humans If these will work for you give them a try. This simple bag is simply the best.

I've been using this product for years. When they stopped selling them in the supermarkets I was very unhappy. I checked on Amazon and there they were. I have been buying them thru Amazon ever since. They are easy to tie when full. I like the handles so I can hang one over a door knob at times. Great product!

For whatever reason, the local stores do not stock these anymore. Instead, pretty much every offering is the "draw string" variety which in my experience tend to tear the bag when you "draw" the "strings" and I simply don't like them. I hope that Glad is not intending to discontinue these, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did; so many companies have been discontinuing some of their best offerings lately. Anyway, I highly recommend these, as they are largely durable and so easy to tie.

These are the best kitchen/tall trash bags on the market. They are made of heavy enough plastic that they are sturdy. The handles are great to pull the bag up/out and then tie to secure the trash inside. They are SO much better than the drawstring bags. If you haven't tried these, you SHOULD!!!

These are the only tall kitchen bags I like to use. I have been using them for many years and when they discontinued them at my local store I tried other bags. I found that other bags either had no handles and needed a twist tie or they had the drawstrings that I found difficult to pull the bag out of the trash can and it left an unclosed part of the bag (a hole). I like these bags because you really can close them completely. They are easy to remove from the trash can too. NO other bag has matched the quality and ease of use of these bags. I will continue to order them online as long as they make them!

These are BY FAR the best kitchen bags that GLAD (or any other company for that matter) offers. (And NO, I wasn't paid for this review.) They are easy to use, fit perfectly into the size trash can for which they were designed, are easy to remove and tie closed, and NEVER - and I mean NEVER - do the handles break. I won't use any other trash bag. The drawstring bags are so cumbersome. The drawstrings stretch and break, are uncomfortable for carrying and for pulling a heavy bag out of the trash container. The flap bags are just silly; enough said there. I certainly hope GLAD reads reviews like these when they make their product decisions. There is NO DOUBT that consumers, tested properly, would select this bag over the flap ties and drawstrings EVERY time. Great product GLAD! Please please please continue offering it!

You have no idea what kind of idiocy brought me to this place. But I'll tell you.

Now, I bought a fairly tall kitchen garbage pail to fit a specific spot -- it had to be narrow enough to fit where I wanted it, so it's a skinny, tall pail. I had it for a couple of months and somehow accidentally threw away the lid. I have no idea how this sort of thing occurs, but I apparently dropped the lid into the garbage bag and didn't notice. You can't just buy a new lid to this pail; I'd have to buy a whole new pail, and that seemed wasteful. So I decided to be lid-less for the time being. But I didn't realize that the lid was the main thing holding the garbage bags in place.

I went through several brands before finding out that Stop & Shop's handle tie bags were terrific. And I blissfully used them for a few months, until... Stop & Shop stopped carrying them! At least mine did. I tried their flap tie bags, but they were terrible. I tried Glad's flap tie bags, but they were terrible, too. Thin and useless. Then-- and here's where the idiocy gets really bad-- I went back to Stop & Shop and accidentally bought the flap tie bags AGAIN and opened them, thinking they were the handle tie bags. At this point I've spent somewhere around $45 in completely useless garbage bags and obviously could have just bought a smaller garbage can that would work with normal bags, but NO.

I read the reviews here and decided to give these a try. I was a bit skeptical because the tie flap bags were so thin and stupid, but these are better. They're not the thickest bags ever (Simple Human wins there, followed by my beloved Stop & Shop handle ties), but they're thick enough and thus far haven't ripped on me. The handle ties are great-- simpler to use than a drawstring and easier to carry. They can accommodate taller pails because of the handles.

I could not find these in my grocery store, so I'm very glad Amazon has them. I'm stocking up for a long time!

The loop handles on these make for a quick and easy slip over the passenger seat arm rest, for a garbage bag basically accessible from everywhere in the truck. The flimsy construction makes it necessary to double bag every time. Recommended for use in a truck, or any situation where the bag needs to be hung from one handle; better options exist for any other application.
