Our cat took to this immediately and now we have created a monster in that we can't get her out of it. We literally don't see her much any more because she wants to go upstairs and sleep in her bed. I thought this would be a waste of money as our cat is more likely to want to sleep on anything else (like the box it came in, a plastic bag, etc.) But, my wife insisted and the rest is history.

It is very nice quality and looks good. Most importantly, the cat loves it, so everyone is happy.

The side seams are not sewn properly, so they come apart the first time you wash them.

I ordered two of these for my two 10-pound poodle mix dogs. After washing them on the cold-water hand-wash cycle, both had the side seams come apart which resulted in stuffing all over the washing machine. I returned them and Amazon sent me two new ones.

After washing the two new ones on the cold, hand-wash cycle, the side seams again came apart! I have had many dog beds, and none of them were this poorly made. Why can't they stitch the seems correctly -- it doesn't cost extra money to use a sewing machine properly!

I returned threw the second set away and am giving up on AmazonBasics.

Please Note: my dogs are both adults who do not chew or scratch on their dog beds, so this was not a matter of using the beds roughly.

UPDATE: I have now washed this bed in the washer. I stand by my five star review. I washed it in warm water with detergent and I tumble dried it on low heat. The tag says not to put it in the dryer, however I did and it held up nicely. No seams ripping or anything. I’m not surprised because this bed seems to be pretty good quality, but I’m really happy it held up. My suggestion is to vacuum the bed before you wash it to get rid of the pet hair, turn it inside out to get all the hair that builds up in the creases, and tumble dry on low heat. Very satisfied with this purchase and hoping it will last us awhile!!

Original review: This pet bed so far is working out great. The quality is pretty good for 15$ and is a huge upgrade from the last bed my cat had. I bought him a really cheap one on amazon a couple years ago and that one held up in the washer and dryer (although barely) so I am going to say that this one will probably do the same. I haven’t washed it yet but I will update this review when I do. The size of this bed is perfect for my 10 lb cat. He’s even got a little room to spare. It’s very soft and it has become his new spot in the house. When it came in the packaging, it was a little distorted and lopsided, but it flattened out overnight. I attached some photos of my 14 year old Abner enjoying this bed.

Initial impressions: Much better constructed than expected. Pillow is very soft. Sophie,our 15 lb Lhasa Apso, climbed in to the bed immediately after removing from the shipping container. Obviously very comfortable with her new bed. Product came in a box appx. 15X24X3. I was initially worried that the walls of the product would be crushed--but they returned to normal height upon removal from the container.

The picture looked great and was similar to one that my sister had purchased from another store for her dog, but unfortunately it is not what I was expecting. The description makes it look like it is solid and the pillow insert is for extra comfort but really the bottom is just a thin piece of cloth and the pillow is the only thing that supports and shapes the bed. This would be totally fine if the pillow and walls were well stuffed, but the one that I got is poorly stuffed and goes flat super easy and will not hold the weight of my small dog. I really meant to return this, but my dog got it dirty while I wasn’t home -_- (my bad)

I purchased for my 12.5 lb cat. Probably could have gone smaller, but she doesn’t have to curl up so tightly. Two friendly cats could definitely fit in this bed.
The bed is really nicely made with medium brown canvas on the outside and fleece on the top and insides, over very cushy stuffing. The sides are well-padded too. It took about a week for my cat to get used to it. She now sleeps in it every day. Some of the time she likes putting her chin on the top of the bed while she’s sleeping. Most of the time she just curls up in it. It’s big enough for her to stretch (the bed bends with her.) All in all, a great pet bed for the price!

I am a Pom breeder and just can't get enough of these beds! I Love them. If one of the dogs is sick or has a accident at night, I'll know which one it is by their little beds in their Iris play pens. Then I just throw it in the washer and dryer. I can get several in a load. They do not stain. I have many extras on standby so pups get a clean bed each night. You can't go wrong by investing in these. They hold up well, do not shed, keep their shape and look sanitary. The dogs love them also!

My cats have taken to the new Amazon Basics 20in Pet Bed immediately. It arrived promptly, packaged in a box to protect it. I didn't wash it first as it smelled clean without any chemical type smells. My cats immediately explored it, and as you can see in the picture, one has already slept in it within 5 hours of it arriving. It has plenty of fill, while still allowing enough room for my large cat room to get comfortable and snuggle into the bolstered edges. Both the bottom and sides have ample fill. The fabric reminds me of micro-fleece blankets that my cats love. They seemed to enjoy making biscuits on it before curling up.

The only negative of this bed is that it is more beige/yellow than the product images or description indicated. It is not a problem, and the cats seem to be fine with the non-white color. I wish it were more white to match all the other pet beds... but it will not be going back based on this. Just thought I'd post a review so others can take this into account. The other pet bed next to it is an ivory color and you can tell the difference. The rug underneath is beige.

My cat will only sleep in a bed for like 6mths then she refuses to be in it until she gets a new one (don't ask lol) , so I am always looking for cheap replacements. For £12 I didn't expect much in terms of quality but I am impressed (and so is she!). Great little bed for a very spoilt cat! Will buy again

Good bed for the price. Seems durable despite my Cockapoo puppy clawing away at times. Soft and comfortable, he enjoyed his day time naps in there. Would recommend as a secondary bed for the lounge. Small size is convenient, not sure it will be suitable for a full sized Cockapoo. Washed in the machine without any issues and dries very quickly. He seems very happy in there.

My little kitten loves his new bed. I was so shocked at the quality and value of the item I thought I would right a review of it. As you can see from the picture he is swallowed by the size of the bed which is great because he can grow into it. Plus the quality and softness of the item I'm sure it will last for quite a long time. Very impressed. Added bonus it looks good in my house.

Really surprised at the quality of this bed for the price - Amazonbasics can be hit or miss with quality at times - Our 9 week old puppy settled in to the bed almost instantly, and the round donut shape seems to give her some comfort and security when she naps. She's been chewing the heck out of it too and no sign of wear and tear as of yet, but fingers crossed she'll have outgrown it before it does.

Purchased 2 of these to replace worn out beds (7 rescue cats can wear things out quickly) and they love them. Am going to get 2 more as hissing and spitting breaks out over these 2. Larger than usual so the cats can spread out. One is on the desk which means they lie in it rather than on the keyboard. *bonus - can fit 2 cats if they work together to settle.

The bed is only 14 inches in circumference, which is much smaller than it says. The side walls add a couple extra inches but they are not space that can be used to lie in.
The padding is also uneven, even after I have tried to rearrange the foam. The one side of the bed is very thin and does not provide enough comfort.

I am pleasantly surprised about this bed - It's big enough for my 4months old Pug, soft, already been machine washed and held it's shape. Nothing to fault it at. I'm buying one more soon so I can start rotating them while one is being washed and dried.

This is definitely a must buy. In fact I have bought two to keep both my cats happy. They are super soft and just the right size for my cats, one of which is a large beast hence why we call him “chunk”. I put the beds down and they instinctively went to them straight away and immediately curled up and went to sleep. So I think that’s classed as a success in my eyes. The beds a really good value for money and they are well made. I’d have no hesitation to buy these again. I haven’t washed them but I believe they should wash no problem at all in the washing machine they are certainly sturdy enough.
