All I use instead of hairspray is the Texturizing sea salt spray and my waves last perfectly! My hair actually doesn’t hold curls very well but this Wave Artist makes them last so long! I love this iron. Was Leary of reviews but went for it. Me. Super fine straight hair. No products ever. Wash and go. Did a test run yesterday, little tricky at first but took 20 minutes first time. Woke up . Still had waves. My hair never held a curl. Setting Midway. Hard to tell or if ya accidentally slide it hence hair smokes a bit. Today took less than 10 minutes I'm extremely pleased with this. So Happy I bought this.

Where has this been all my life! I’m in love! I have long, fine hair that doesn’t hold curl very well. It tends to be very straight and I always have it back in a pony or up in a messy bun because it has no volume. This wave iron gives it tons of body and volume. It’s like magic! This was on the Treasure Truck yesterday for $16 (2/26/19). I read reviews where all these chicks be like "BUY THIS NAO!" and "This totally works on my super fine crap hair!" So I'm like, ok, I'll try it and it'll end up in my drawer of "I don't use these curling irons anymore because my hair don't hold jack". My super healthy (shiny) yet thin hair NEVER HOLDS A CURL! I can unload a bottle of hairspray during a curling session and it'll be flat before I'm even out the door...no joke! I got a perm for the first time in my life 3 yrs ago and it didn't take!!! I had straight hair again a month later.

But I plugged in this baby and tried it out on my gross post-gym hair yesterday, just to see what happened before I showered, and it WORKED!!!! So I showered, actually blow-dried my hair (I never do that) just so I could REALLY try it out: I did my whole head, again, NO PRODUCTS AT ALL and here I am reporting back to you live, 24 hrs later, and I'm still flaunting my beach waves!!!! I have no idea how this thing got it's magical powers, but I HIGHLY recommend every woman own one! I would happily pay 4x the price I did, soooo worth it! OMG I can't believe I look like I belong in Cosmo magazine or something!

This made me look like a psycho.. If you've never seen a bleach-blond fro, try this and you too, can have one of your own!! Also, if you like your hands crispy with a side of burned, try this hand scorcher on for size! I guess I can send it to college with my son so he has something to fry bacon on, because it can't be used on my hair.. my cat clawed my eye out because of what this contraption did to my hair... ughhh...

Not good for shoulder length hair. Could only get 2 crimps for each section and they very pretty wimpy. And I have a lot of experience with curling. This item looks like it takes less time to style with but it really doesn't. Takes just as much time as the wrap around wand, and you can't put a lot of hair into each section.

I loved the way my hair looked after using this waver. BUT I had to use thermal spray, hair spray, and aligator clips to separate out sections. In the end it just took much more time than I will spend on a regular basis to do my hair. Returned the item.

Horrible product. I had my hairdresser “attempt” to show me how to use and my hair came out looking like I had just had a HORRIBLE 80’s perm. It was TERRIBLE. Just to give you an idea of how bad it was, I have never even written a review, good or bad, on Amazon and I shop here for EVERYTHING. DO NOT waste your money!!

This is a nice option to using straightener (for curls) or curling iron. I don't see myself using it every day, but it is a nice option to have. It is easy to use and pretty quick. I recommend alternating vertical and horizontal sections of hair to allow for a more natural beachy wave look. There are some good YouTube and IG tutorials. I have long hair, but it is fine. It works better on my hair using larger sections of hair vs. small sections. Small sections gives it a more "crimped" look, which isn't what I want, but with practice I have figured out how it works best for my hair. Adding extensions would probably make it look even better. It has a temp control, which I appreciate. I will continue to experiment with it, and glad I purchased it. Recommend if you want another option to straightener or curling iron curls.

As others have said, this tool is heavy to hold and takes some time to get used to. But it does a nice job. It's better if someone else uses it to do your hair. But overall I am happy with this purchase.

I’m still getting use to the Bed Head Wave Artist but so far I’ve found it easy to use and cuts down the styling time. It heats up quickly and makes a nice wave. I still use my heated curling wand to do the top layer of hair but one could use only the BHWA for a more casual look

I purchased it based on amazon reviews. I was not disappointed. I love it. I have straight fine hair. This product gives me large sexy waves that hold for 2 days. Its a little awkward to use because of its size. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

Very good product! Creates big soft waves on my short hairs. Adds shine to hair, especially if used with Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique. Waves last up to 4 days, with some minimal hair spray. Love it!
