Stop your search for the bedframes and just buy this one! I was so skeptical about buying bed frames because of the worst experience I had while buying bed frames on WayFair (never buy it from there!!) I was so happy with this purchase that I feel obligated to write a review for this! Never in my life I have written a review but this ones does deserve a 5-star review. The bed frame is so well designed and so sturdy, you can jump on it and it still won't budge at all. There is no little parapet to hold in the mattress but they have 2 sticky strips on 2 wooden rods in between so the mattress stays in its place. Its been a month since I have had this bed and I have a feeling it's going to last for years to come.
This bed frame was easy to put together, sturdy, quiet and looks great. It fits baskets up to 7 inches tall. My husband is 6’3” and is finally able to lay on the bed without scrunching up due to a headboard or footboard blocking usable bed space. The color is gorgeous and matched our warm oak windows, doors and trim. It feels very stable and can support at least 450 lbs. Overall very pleased.
The Queen ZINUS Vivek Wood Platform Bed Frame with Headboard is a relatively easy assemble.
If we can assemble it anyone can.
It requires patience. If your older (Over fifty) get a chair to sit. (See photo).
There is one tool (see photo) that only is used for the top screws in the headboard.
The other silver metal wrench is used to tighten the remaining screws. Seen a review video where a guy was attempting to use the Black wrench tool to tighten other screws saying it didn't work. Well if you see the pictorial instructions it only works on the top two headboard screws.
The Queen ZINUS Vivek Wood Platform is sturdy. You will be happy with this purchase.
I am so surprised how beautiful this bed looks in person. I mean, it looks great in the pictures but they don't do it justice. The stain is a beautiful rich brown mahogany and each piece feels very sturdy as it should. I purchased two of these for two different rooms and had no issues with either one. The packaging is above and beyond.... double-boxed and the styrofoam is enclosed in plastic wrap so it doesn't fall apart all over the place. One of the outer boxes was damaged but there was no damage to the actual product. It took myself plus one son to assemble the beds. I could've assembled on my own but it's nice to have the help. Took about 30 mins each bed. The box itself is extremely heavy and it took 2 of us to haul them upstairs. If I'd have been alone, I would've taken each piece up one at a time. The instructions are very simple and easy to understand. The screws and washers are well-labeled and come with extra parts. It even comes with a ratchet allen wrench which is really cool. All the pieces are labeled with stickers and you just match the stickers and screw in the screws. There is nice attention to details with the velcro system and the center beam has felt on top to reduce noise. The beds feel very sturdy and look amazing. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and checked lots of other websites... Pottery Barn, Haverty's, Rooms to Go, etc... looking for a great bed at a great price. The only thing I might add are extra slats. For this, I'll head to Home Depot and have some wood cut to size to lay in between the slats that came with the bed. That is just because I want the mattress to last as long as possible and I believe the slats are supposed to be closer together. You could also forgo the slats and use a piece of plywood or very short bunkie board for your foundation. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and would highly recommend this.
Ordered this twin size wood, framed bed for a spare bedroom. We also ordered a super thick foam mattress and are using it as a futon type sofa/bed. The frame is really great quality, love the color stain and looks like they took care to properly measure everything, and as a result went together really quick. Would recommend this product.
I was searching for quality solid wood Queen bed frames for some time. My original choice was a bed from another manufacturer. However, there inventory was low so, they dramatically bumped up their prices. I did more research and settled on this product from Zinus. I must admit, I was apprehensive at what the assembly process would be. In my life experience, anything, that required assembly, meant that there were good odds of me getting frustrated during the process. To that point, my hat is off to Zinus. All the parts were wonderfully lined up and clearly labeled in a blister pack. Including a compartment marked spare parts. Impressive. But, they also supply a proper Allen key and a hand torqued Allen wrench tool. Very impressive! All the pieces and parts are clearly labeled. There are two poster pages with images that clearly depict the assembly. Once assembled, the bed is a handsome furniture piece. Understated, yet elegant and feels solid.
I would not hesitate to recommend this product to others.
I like the look of this bed and that it is made from real wood. It was really easy to put together (1 person). The pictures to put it together were clear. It is well packed. I was worried at 1st when I saw foot prints on both sides of the box, but there is an inner box as well with foam and wrapping. I hope it lasts well. It is for a twin bed in my guest bedroom. I like that the slats roll out and have Velcro to hold them in place.
Can't complain, its great for the price. However it could be sturdier, the middle row of legs didn't even touch the floor, it stayed levitating off the ground for about 0.1 inch. I wonder if it's a manufacturer defect or if it's meant to me that way.
All in all, it does the job, and I sleep great at night. But beware this is NOT the frame to get if you and your partner have intense intimate sessions at night! It will make more noise than you would want. Otherwise, it's a great little frame that will look stylish!
We purchased this bed in a king size a few years ago and are so pleased that we purchased a queen for our new guest bedroom. The bed is durable, looks amazing and was sooo easy to put together. We coupled it with a Molblly queen mattress ... now we just need guests!
This is a beautiful little platform bed, but one of the rails was off in measurement and I had to file the wood down to get it together. The middle braces do not touch the floor so hoping some furniture pads on the bottom will help. Overall nice!
Can't remember the instructions but it was pretty easy to figure out. Like Ikea, all tools and screws are provided. Uses Hex (Allen) keys. The wood slats hold 2 people pretty well and there is a middle spine to the frame. Don't feel like it'll break on you. The wood pieces seem hefty enough so pretty good quality. Took it apart and reassembled a few times and pieces still connects well. Good enough space underneath for storage. Doesn't have edges so you don't need a mattress that fits perfectly, tho it could also be a small negative because the mattress could move. It does creak a little after some use (have it for about 3 years now) and I'm unsure if it's the bed or perhaps an uneven wood floor because I'm in an older apartment. That said, it's not that creaky where it would wake you up. It was perfect for my find because I wanted simple, no head board, easy to use and assemble, some storage space below and for the price I paid, I think it's a pretty solid find that checked all my boxes. I would buy this product again if I ever need.
What I expected thanks
Thus bed was delivered before scheduled delivery, was assembled in less than an hour with parts that fit together precisely and is extremely sturdy.
