When I first got these out of the package, I was disappointed, because I thought there was going to be an actual silicone surface to protect from the heat, and instead it's just a kind of pattern on the fabric, for getting a secure grip (which is also very important!)

But the fact is, these things work really well, regardless of where the silicone is (and they're probably easier to use this way, too.) I've been carefully, slowly building up the seasoning on a couple cast iron skillets, which means I'm regularly grabbing heavy chunks of iron that have spent an hour in a 450º F oven, and frankly, if I hold them for a while, my hands get pleasantly warm, no more. I think my wrists would get tired before my hands got too hot.

I'm a bit baffled by the microfiber cleaning towel things, but the pot holders and oven mitts are great. Also, I got the blue ones, and I really like the color.

For quite a few years, I had been looking for some oven mitts that weren't totally silicone and had the thickness of my 20-year-old mitts that I refused to throw away for fear that nothing would come close to protecting my hands from hot dishes. Well, I came across these oven mitts that were cloth with a silicone "netting" design on them and thought that I would order them and give them a try. Finally! I found a product that fulfilled my expectations and are comfortable to wear. They are long enough on my arm to protect me from burns and are thick enough to enable me to hold a hot dish. I accidently stuck the thumb in some spaghetti sauce, took a wet sponge, wiped it off, and it came completely clean! Plus, I got 2 potholders and 2 microfiber kitchen towels that work great to boot! I can now confidently retire my old mitts as I have finally found what I've been looking for. I don't review many things, but as you can tell, I am thoroughly satisfied with these. Thank you for making a product for people like me who can't really tolerate the feel of silicone---it just doesn't feel natural. Highly recommend.

I am a large man and gave this a 4 star because the mitts were tight when I put them on. I did not see anything about size that could have been on me. The mitts are also stiff yes they are new but I will see once I have had them for awhile. Otherwise they are working out great

Love the green color. Fits my new kitchen decor plus old oven mitts had burn marks on them. The white cloths that come with seem unnecessary, but still really like the set. Mostly have just used the little square ones but I’m sure come the holidays will be getting used out of the mitts.

This whole set is Great! I purchased the Pretty Navy Blue.. Very nice design, and well made. I was happy that they included 2 nice dish towels. Would Buy Again. :)

They’re oven mits! They work well. They seem a little thin, and I’ve noticed if I’m holding a hot item a little too long, I can start to feel it. For very short trips though (as should be), these are great!

I purchased these potholders and accessories because I was using silicon ones and I feel safer with what I purchased.

Liked that they were a good size and could fit mine and my hubby’s hands, however when used for bread pots which are baked at 235deg C, they developed a hole between the thumb and hand section, making them unusable for the purpose purchased, so not suitable for this temp. Great for all other temps though.
