Okay so many were talking about burns, gets too hot when you wanna lift the lid... well in the directions it specifically says to wear a mitt so SUPER awesome I didn't get burned for that lovely tip in the instruction manual. My concoction of egg, crab, asparagus, onion, diced tomato, and cajun seasoning went off without a hitch. Lightly coated the trays with veg oil and took paper towel to smear it around. It was about 10mns and it's super fluffy and cooked through. Why didn't I buy this sooner?! Throw my crap in a jar, shake it up, dump it in the trays then do whatever I need to for at least a solid 9mns only to return to a perfectly cooked omelette... oh goodness the world is good.

I am always a bit skeptical when buying things like this. They normaly don't work well, are of poor quality and never seem to do what they advertise they will do. I went ahead and took a chance for several reasons.
1. The price was great, so if it sucked, I wouldn't mind so much
2. The wife and I eat omelette's all of the time!
3. The cleanup seemed easier than with traditional pans.

I ordered it as a Christmas gift to my wife and myself. We immediately began using it and have never looked back! It makes a perfect omelette every time and the clean up is so simple! We just dampen a soft cloth and wipe it down! If you are looking for something to cook the perfect omelette quickly and with hassle free clean up, this is the answer!
I was so happy to order this omelette maker, however reading the description it says "non stick"... It it far from non stick. You can't really put much veggies in it if you want 2 eggs or it will overflow. Literally 1-1.5 spinach leaf, 1 SMALL slice tomato, and 3 small cube ham and 2 eggs... It overflowed EVERYWHERE... And it stuck bad. It doesn't fully cook through the whole omelette, if you leave it in there alittle longer it burns the egg. I'm very disappointed in this product and wish I wouldnt have spent the money on this one.
I have been on a low carb diet for six months. Eggs, a staple of low carb, largely were missing from my diet because I do not like eggs (okay, maybe the occasional Eggs Benedict). I noticed that when I did eat eggs, they filled me up and I stayed full for a good part of the day. What to do? I purchased this omelet maker and have been using this recipe: one jumbo egg whisked up with a small bit of cream, then anything allowed on low carb: diced ham, shredded cheese, diced veges. Mix into the whisked egg and pour into one compartment of the omelet maker to cook for 10 minutes. What comes out is a spongy, cake like thing that really doesn't taste much like eggs (especially with a little sour cream spread on top). Yes, the calories and fat probably make this a no no for anyone not on a low carb diet, but for those of us who are, this is not a problem (occasionally). This "omelet" keeps me full most of the day and may help me avoid calories at other times. Best of all, it has allowed me to add something tasty to the low carb diet, which, in turn, has allowed me to lose 25 pounds over the six months and to keep it off.
I bought this omelet maker because my husband loves egg white omelets but I fail miserably when trying to make one in a regular pan on the stove. This little beauty does the job. My omelets come out perfectly every time. It took me about three tries to perfect them because I wasn't sure if I should sauté my vegetables first and then put them in the omelet nor was I sure how fast the omelet maker started cooking so I didn't know how much time I had to put the ingredients in. Nevertheless, I figured all of that out and ultimately, I learned that I don't necessarily have to salute' my vegetables first and I'd better have all of my ingredients near and ready to put in on top of the egg yolks immediately. I cooked my omelets for about 12 minutes, which was recommended by some of the other reviews. I would recommend this product to others.
This is a dang frittata maker. Don't let nobody tell you otherwise.

Granted, I don't fully know what a frittata is (too fancy for my patience), but I'm pretty sure if you pull up a dictionary, this maker will be next to the definition.

Or... You can see my humor and just Google it and realize that what comes out of this thing looks mighty similar to what a frittata looks like.

I think that has a hand in why some people say this tastes off. It's like an egg quiche without a crust. So, yeah, a frittata.

If you go into it with that in mind, you'll be quite pleased with the unit. It sort of steams/cake-ify the eggs and they really are done in about 10 minutes. Cleanup is beautiful, as is prep.

I've used it once, so here's some callouts from my trial & error:
1) Definitely don't over fill it. I had some cheese boil out. Nothing major, just made me wonder what was sizzling. O_o
2) The amount of steam/smoke stuff coming out the sides is alarming--your frittata is most likely not burning. But you may want to check.
3) Okay, my bottom burnt and I only cooked it for 9 minutes 20 seconds (I used a timer, I'm not that anal). It seems to have overcooked where the cheese/ham was.
4) It comes out mad thicc, but when the air hits it, it will deflate. It's still about 2" thick even after deflation.
5) Next time, I'll "layer" the ingredients so the eggs goes on the bottom (let it set), fixings in the middle (let it set again) and top it off with the last bit of egg. This is to prevent burned eggies cuz I hate burned eggies. >:(
6) Definitely use some oil. Not because stuff will because stick otherwise, but because I just feel like it's a good practice to oil your non-sticks. Take care of your appliances folks.
7) Tastes like a frittata--I think. Or, just puffy, tasteless egg. :) Don't get me wrong, it's good! It's just not going to taste like a skillet cooked omelet. At least, not without milk. I'll try that next time.
8) Oh, and frittata recipes say to only beat eggs and yolks until they're blended to prevent collapsed frittatas after they're taken out of the oven. I'm going to try this trick next time I make this frittata.

I think that's it. Enjoy your frittata maker! :D I do!
Excellent product that makes me wonder why I didn't buy an omelette maker years ago. Easy to make all kind of omelettes and not only, easy to clean and can make two omelettes in one go! I had a few questions for the seller and the customer service was impeccable! Completly recommend!
I am beyond pleased with this omelette maker - it's incredibly easy to use and clean, and makes perfect omelettes every time. I usually use 3-4 eggs per omelette (filling both halves) along with whatever other ingredients I add to them (usually ham or bacon, cheese, onions, peppers, jalapenos and cucumbers) and that seems like the perfect amount. They are the perfect size, too - not too big but not too small, great to have an entire one yourself or share halves with someone.

Be sure to read the instructions first, there are some helpful tips in there in terms of using and cleaning the appliance. It helps to coat the inside with non-stick cooking oil spray before use - then you can simply use a damp cloth or paper towel to clean the inside afterwards. Also, don't use any metal utensils on the non-stick surface to avoid scratching or damaging it. Oh, and don't overfill it...it gets a lot messier if you do that, haha!

Overall I would 100% recommend it!
On upside, very happy with the so far, very easy to use and clean up, heats up nicely and makes the perfect sized/shaped omelettes.

On the downside, the plastic tongs that come with it are crap, with little plastic shavings that could get into the food.
Product heats up well but requires practice to get the correct textured omelette. Wiring is poor and light is not as described. Green light is yellow and red light is orange. Confusing when following directions.
Pricey but good quality (funny how often that seems to be the case!). Very easy to use, produces great omelets every time. Non stick surface makes cleaning a breeze, though would be convenient if griddles were detachable from unit to immerse them in water (thus only 4 stars). I found omelets were perfectly cooked after 8 minutes rather than the 10-12 suggested in the instruction booklet. If you want a good quality appliance that does the job, and should last for years, you won't be disappointed in this one.
