I just finished my hardwood floors and really want to protect them... So I bought all these felt pads.. However, as you move your chairs around they tend to slide off and I kept having to adjust them back on but they also then left a sticky mark on the floor. So I found these. These are awesome. You have to work at putting them on your chair /furniture legs but they stay and I really like they have a felt bottom so I can slide my chairs/stools and not worry about them hurting the floor. Great idea and they work very well. Maybe it would be nice if they came in different colors to either match your floor or your furniture legs
The quick and dirty review? All pros except that unlike what you’d expect, the chair is slightly more difficult to slide (laminate flooring) once you’re sitting in it. SLIGHTLY. And that’s only my experience and I’m heavy. Everything else is a pro.
I bought these because i started scratching up my laminate flooring after only a couple years living in my condo. It’s only happening (that I can tell) under my dining chair and I’m not sure how long ago it started. I just know I don’t want it to get worse. My chairs already have a little plastic foot screwed into the legs but it still catches on the floor.
I only just installed them tonight so only time will tell. I think they will be very simple and easy to install for anyone who has some grip strength. If you have arthritis or something you might need help.
I ordered the small size and they fit snugly over each chair leg and slid on pretty easily. It feels a little bit like a thick balloon (think of the part you put your mouth around to inflate it) with a felt pad attached. The pad feels secure on the cover, the cover feels secure on the chair, and it makes the chairs much smoother and quieter to slide into and away from the table! Overall very happy especially for the low price.
I love these! So easy to put on! Felt seems very secure and the chairs slide easily! I’ve tried so many kinds of protectors and none lave lasted. I really have high hopes for these. The best thing is that I emailed the seller and asked if these came in browns or black for my dark wood furniture. Received a reply the same day stating that they will be selling a clear silicon protector like these gray ones. The clear protectors should be for sale on Amazon in about 3-4 weeks. I’m so happy about that!!
I've tried all the normal chair leg protection systems to keep my dining room chairs from scratching the wood floors. EVERYTHING failed after a period of time. I've used the tap on plastic sliders (the one with the nail that you pound in to the bottom of the chair leg), to stick on felt pads (even added extra Gorilla Glue when the sticky stuff wasn't enough to hold the pad in place). I put these protectors on one chair last night and so far so good. I was worried that my chair legs might look stupid and the silicone protector would be too obvious. I have white chairs and the light gray of the silicone does not detract from the beauty of my chairs. In fact, my husband hasn't even noticed them on the one chair. I was giving it a test run to see if I liked them. I DO!! Will be putting these on the rest of the chairs. They slide well and I think they are going to work for the long haul. They fit beautifully on the front round (kind of knobby) chair legs and work well on the rear square legs. Am so happy I came across these. They're great.
They were too big for the chair legs. They cannot be used.
These things are great. They fit perfectly and stay on. I have them on the legs of my dining room chairs. These legs are square and on the bigger side. If you try to use them on skinny legs, I doubt they would work, so choose wisely. I love the felt pads. My hardwood floors are perfectly protected now.
As promised, these both eliminate floor scratching and cut way down on noise when sliding chairs. I bought these to protect our old porch floorboards (house built 1910) that are easily dinged and scratched by chair legs. Because the pack came with more than we needed for that, we put them on some kitchen counter stools and they reduce sound from moving the stools and make them easier to slide. They're easy to put on both square and round legs and appear fairly durable. Time will tell.
For years, I've purchased the felt circles to adhere to the feet of chair legs to avoid my hard wood floor from scratching. How did I know when they were no longer attached?; WHEN MY FLOOR BECAME SCRATCHED! I wanted something (short of super-glueing) that really would stay on the feet of the chairs, while being subtle in appearance. I'm so thrilled with this purchase. I loved the ease of placing these on the chair legs; I love that the felt circle is adhered to the silicone, so it won't slip off from friction when the chair legs move across the floor, and the "icing on the cake" is that they are absolutely not noticeable at all! Purchasing more after I send this, and actually think I will purchase some for holiday gifts and this is something everyone should have!
