I love this chair, but despite using Rustoleum weekly, the metal parts are totally Rusty!!☹️ I've only had this chair for 8 months....now I'm trying to find replacement of all metal parts- preferrably non rusty ones....

I spoke to the company and Amazon and they basically told me that there is nothing they can do for me.....

So my advice to you: Trash- DO NOT buy...unless you want it for a short time only....

I'll try to take it apart and find the tools in stainless steel version...but if I would have know all of this beforehand- I would have never bought it!

I purchased two of these chairs. The good news first... they arrived promptly and were relatively easy to assemble. They are also very comfortable. One small improvement that I made - I used a bungee cord to tie the chair down to the base. This doesn't affect it at all when you are sitting on it but it keeps the chair from blowing in the wind.

A minor point - the seat can take a while to dry as the part that goes under your butt is the lowest part and water puddles there. You can deal with this by putting something under the cushion when it is wet and you want it to dry faster.

Now the bad part... and this is really unfortunate and may cause me to return the chairs. They rust. The metal parts are powder coated but nearly every part has at least one location (a chip, an edge that was poorly coated, a weld that wasn't coated, etc) that has rusted. And this is after having the chairs outside for only 3 weeks. I will see what the company's response is then I'll decide if these are going back or whether there is another alternative to make this right. Very disappointing as we loved the chairs.

The woman who I spoke with was very polite, but said that since I purchased it from Amazon she could not help me. She suggested that I contact Amazon. I will... more to come...

I received replacements from Amazon. However unlike if I had purchased it from Best Choice, Amazon wants the rusty 70lbs chairs back. So I assembled the new chairs and packed the old ones back into the new boxes. Those are awaiting pickup. As for the new chairs... well, they were already showing some signs of rusting out of the box. Basically the inside of the pipes are not rust treated. The edges of the pipes have areas where there is no paint so they are ready to rust. Plus there are chips in the painted finish. It may prove to be a mistake, but I decided to try to enhance the chairs myself. I sprayed a clear coat of rustoleum on the painted finish. I sprayed depend inside the tubes. I sealed areas where water was prone to leak into the metal tubes. Lets see what happens....

My rust proofing seems to have worked - knock on wood. I would recommend to anyone that they sprayed a clear coat of something like Rustoleum on these chairs. I also sprayed a bit inside the tubes and in the area where the tubes assembled. I also noticed that some of the pipe joints are designed poorly - water flowing down hill will flow INTO the joint and pipe instead of encouraged to stay out of it. I used clear caulk on those joints.

Another issue... When it rains the cushions get SOAKED and take a long time to dry. A heavy application of waterproofing spray helps this. Also, the sling should NOT be waterproof. As it is water gets on the sling and stays between the cushion and the sling instead of dripping dry and allowing the cushion to dry from the underneath.

ALL OF THIS SAID.... This is still my favorite outdoor chair to sit in. It is just a shame that with a little more attention to detail on the design and little or no cost, it could have been absolutely awesome.

I am super pleased with this purchase! It is so sturdy and heavy...and looks phenomenal! My dad and I were able to put it together in a few hours without much effort, except for lifting heavy items or moving the whole thing (he's 89 and I'm 65!)... Not bad for a father-daughter project!

I run a BnB out of my home and purchased this Hanging Chaise Lounger to use by the pool. I had to return the first one because the cushions came ripped. When I called to have them replace the cushions they said I had to order a whole new chair and take the cushions off of the new one and return the chair itself. This seems totally ridiculous and such a waste of time and money (shipping costs, UPS guys dragging it all over the place-DUMB!) But I did it because I needed to replace the cushions. After being outside for a few weeks it started to rust and a few weeks later the cushions were completely faded. I put it away for the season and just pulled it out again. I felt I couldn't have such an eyesore for my guests and called BCP again asking to purchase yet another set of cushions and canopy. They said they couldn't help me and I had to call Amazon. I really don't understand this because I just want to PURCHASE another cushion set. Amazon couldn't help me and a Supervisor even called BCP to ask where I could purchase new cushions and they said they didn't have any. I advise anyone thinking of purchasing this swing to RUN the other way. BAD BAD customer service and an even worse product!

After reading all the reviews, I purchased this item. Wonderful item. Reviews stated that the rain puddles at the "butt" section,, and it does, but was able to alleviate that by pulling the cushion when it rains. NOTE: the cushion seems to have some sort of water resistance, but it you leave it out in the rain too long, it defeats the purpose. Hanging over the fence to dry out also works well. Also took the extra steps via reviews to rustoleum the parts before putting it together. Taking all this into consideration - great product! Thanks to all the other reviews to make this a great choice!
