We bought this loft bed for our daughter's room as she needed more space as well as a place to do her homework. We needed a full sized loft bed as we already had a full sized mattress for her that we had paid a good amount for when we purchased her previous bed a few years earlier. My daughter is very happy with this bed. It does shake a bit while climbing up it and when moving around on it, but not enough that she does (or I) does not feel safe. We like that it has two ladders to allow for various positioning within her room. The desk and shelves are very sturdy and the cork board is also a nice feature. Our video review is also attached.
This frame has suited perfectly the needs of two twenty-somethings living in a downtown studio. Like many studios, ours featured a walk-in closet that we turned into our "master bedroom". This frame fits so perfectly in the space that it almost seems custom built. Also, since it's impossible for us to fall off the bed, we've used a 12" memory foam mattress. The bed is a tank. The 300lb weight limit is probably a liability thing. Sleeps myself, an Army veteran at 6'1 and 200 lbs, and my girlfriend at 5'11 and 150 lbs, and it really doesn't move at all unless you're climbing up or down. Which brings me to the only con: it's quite uncomfortable to walk up and down the ladder with bare feet. There are sweet spots and gentle ways you'll try out to get down this thing but it can be a little unforgiving. I wanged my knee, hard, the first night while getting down in a half-awake state. The solution we came up with is a craft foam cushion that we got in black from a local foam rubber plant. Cut and hot glued on the ladder steps, it's much more comfortable on your toesies. We also found that an IKEA KNOPPARP loveseat fits perfectly in the loft space and even leaves room for a lamp, which we control via a remote switch. The box it came in was very small for something so large. It did fit in my car, sort of, and I know that because it arrived in town 4 days before the delivery date and I, impatient, went to pick it up. I've attached a picture of that for reference too. Overall, very satisfied. Price is great, product is great, packaging was efficient. A+ item.
We bought this bed for my (now) 15 year old boy (6'3" tall) and it is the envy of all of his friends. He has a small room 11x10 and it makes the most of the space. The ceiling is only 8' and he can lean up in bed - not a full sit but it doesn't seem to bother him. It is sturdy enough for him though you will have some shake while climbing up and down. I had a friend from a government safety agency check it out and he said it meets all the safety standards. You should periodically double check the screws to be sure they haven't loosened.
My son used a strip of LED lights installed under the bed to help with the lighting issue (it is dark underneath) and we used 2 black plastic floor mats for his normal size desk chair to roll on so nearly the whole area under the bed is covered by the mats (the room is carpeted). The desk is a bit higher than normal so be sure you measure seat height when getting a desk chair to try to keep all things ergonomically correct. The desk is a bit narrow -- we mounted his computer screen on the wall to free up space.
We also used some bed buddy trays attached to the side so he had a place to put bedside items. Further, at a home improvement store, you can find a remote control to control normal lamps etc so turning off light after getting into bed is a breeze.
We use full size sheets and comforter on top of his "old" mattress set in the frame. Since he's older, we did not worry about him rolling out/off the bed.
It did come in one large box that probably weighs close to 100 pounds. If the bedroom is upstairs, two people will have to carry the box because its awkward. You do want to assemble the bed in the room its going into. With the size of our room, we made sure everything else was removed as we assembled the bed. It is slightly movable once assembled (to snug into a corner) but you wouldn't want to move it very far.
The bed frame is really cool. But what isn't cool is it is damaged, used sold as new.
it was sold to me as new, but it is clear that it was a return item that was sold as new. The packaging was also damaged. I did not notice the numerous scratches and wear / rub marks until I had the whole thing assembled and the sun came out. The color of the frame is as such that it obscures the damage until you shine a bright light on it.
My son is already sleeping on it and really likes it allot, so I don't want to go through the trouble of taking the whole thing apart (which is quite a process and sending it back). This post is just meant as a warning to others, to check these bed frames carefully with a bright light before putting it together in case you find scratches or rub marks.
I’m a 24 year old man 6 feet tall 150 lbs Bought this bed as I was sick of always sitting on my bed to watch tv and game and wanted a couch in my room. I rent a bedroom in a shared house. Unfortunately a couch I wanted would not fit underneath the bed but my computer and study area as I call it along with my dog and her living area live happily in the loft space. Taking my desk out of the equation as the loft space acts as my office now I had room for a nice theatre style couch. I now have the best home theatre in the house but I doubt any girls are gonna like meeting a 24 year old who sleeps on a bunk bed! Lol if they are out there this thing shakes like crazy during any “activities”. It’s
All good though as activities can now be moved to the couch. Also supports me doing pull-ups with ease so I can get my workout in also. 5/5 would recommend to everyone trying to make the most out of their small space.
Excellent bed for money. Great construction. Was put together by my husband and 14 year old daughter. Only looses 1 star for steps as they are quite hard on your feet.
My 12 yr old daughter loves it!

Decent loft bed, set it up good, except I miss read, that it only takes a double sized. I confused "full size" and my queen size mattress won't fit on top, so now I need to spend a few hundred more on a new mattress ffs
