I read the reviews for this item, however my experience with this product was terrible. It arrived in two boxes, one of which had obviously been opened and re-taped shut. Once we began assembly, we realized that the box that had been re-taped was missing ALL OF THE HARDWARE (screws, nuts, bolts, etc) and the three center support rods. One of the long beams (which is upholstered like the headboard) had a tear in it.

We called Amazon's support number to have these items shipped to us, but were told they were unable to do so. Received a $50 credit then spent $75 at the hardware store to replicate the hardware and create our own support rod system out of 2x4's.

Oh, and I did call the manufacturer's number to make the same request, but that number only goes to a voicemail. I left two messages with my request and contact information and have not heard from them.

Because I couldn't figure out how to ship back such a large item, we kept it, but are extremely disappointed with this purchase and with the level of Amazon support to make it right.

First let me start by saying I would never in my life give this bed a 1 star - but amazon doesn't understand how horrible of a product this is so they don't have a zero star option. But - Beautiful bed until a month later you wake up covered in welts. all. over. your. body. Why would I suspect it was my brand new headboard for my brand new apartment and brand new bed? Of course it was the headboard and we didn't find out until a month after we had the headboard. Pest control came and had to throw away all of our furniture to prevent the bugs from spreading. THEY OPENED THE HEADBOARD AND SAID IT WAS I N F E S T E D. INFESTED. I have been nauseous ever since. I had to go on medications because the bites were so severe and are now scarring. This incidence has caused some serious trauma and on top of that I am left with NOTHING. I now have to buy all new furniture AFTER we have our whole apartment treated which is very expensive. I can not believe Amazon is allowing this seller to sell these beds on their website. This is a horrible thing to do to someone. And I called amazon to discuss the issue and see what my options are and they thought it was appropriate to offer me a $50 gift card. You kidding me? I was insulted. Anyways, rant over. But whatever you do - do not buy this bed. Don't think "oh it's just one review it can't be true it was probably just a one time thing". Because its not. they must keep these beds all stored in a warehouse and all the bugs just settle on in nicely to those tufted headboards. Honestly it's a beautiful bed, great for the money, but I wouldn't have someone pay me a million dollars to go through that again. No chance. - I never write reviews, but I felt that I needed to get this out there so someone else does not go through this experience like I did. I wouldnt wish this on my worse enemy.

I have been looking for a bed frame for years now. I found a bed frame that cost $700, which I don’t have. So, I kept looking until I found Home Life. I read a lot of reviews about the company and decided that I was going to give it a try and see what happened. I ordered the bed frame and within two days the bed frame was at my door. I read that I would be able to put the bed frame together by myself. Was I wrong. I needed my mother and my cousin to help hold the frame while I was screwing the frame together. Once the headboard was done it was time for the legs and the bed frame. At that moment, I noticed that the headboard leg did not have screws for the middle bar and the middle bar was too long to go in between the headboard. I contacted the company and got a reply within days. By that Friday, I had new headboard legs and middle bar. However, I was impatient and went to Home Depot and got a 2x2, some L’s and finished the bed frame. I also got plywood to cover the slacks because I didn’t feel that they were strong enough. After doing all that my bed frame was done and ready to be used. I would recommend this bed frame to anyone. You might have to fix it yourself, but after that the frame is strong and steady.

The bed took me a few hours to put together. It wasn't hard and the instructions were clear. make sure you read the instructions! They are VERY clear but if you don't read them things line up funny
