My futon arrived this morning during a rainstorm here in NYC. I was in a panic it would hit my doorstep soaking wet! Not. Although UPS had banged up the box a bit, the futon inside was double wrapped in heavy plastic to protect it.

After I put it on the futon sofa, it fit perfectly. The deep red color is vibrant and beautiful. It looks like a $300+ futon. A terrific buy!

Here comes the good part. It is the softest futon I have ever owned. I began sleeping on futons back in the early 70s and have owned high end, low end, no end, futons from every manufacturer. This one is far superior in every way. I lay down tonight at 5 to 'take a nap.' Woke up at 1:15 AM! I haven't slept this well for a long time. It has a medium strength to it. Not too firm, not too soft. Just right. I expect Goldilocks to come walking through the door any minute now.

No odor, no stains, no bumps. Straight from the box to the bed. Effortless. I love this futon! Cannot wait to finish this review and go back to bed.

When measured, it comes out to 69 inches by 48. Not the 75 by 54 advertised. Too small for where I want to put it and and I could not tell until I had taken it out of the packaging.

I searched for a complete frame and bed, i felt a bit cheated that it was only a mattress, I could have gottEN JUST A MATTRESS FOR UNDER $90. Please read the entire add when you do a search... I was expecting the frame and mattress... but I needed it so I kept it. I could have gotten the whole set same quality at walmart for $130.

I wanted 8 inch but for some reason Amazon would ship me a 6 inch but not 8 inch. I figured 2 inch not gonna make that much a difference. That 6 inch mattress measures an actual 4 inch, and very uncomfortable, can feel the wood slats, and the mattress wants to squeeze between them. Also it has a strong chemical smell that has to air out. I had to have something on the frame so will keep it but had to put a mattress topper from Costco on top of it just to make it feel semi decent. I would not recommend this futon mattress to anyone.

Mine was shipped from TX according to tracking information. Despite a final winter blast last week, the mattress was delivered early.

Upon returning that day, to my excitement, a neatly packaged, compact yet long box had been carefully placed on my porch. Date of manufacture on the tag is 4/1/19.

The mattress isn't very heavy, and I was easily able to carry it downstairs to its awaiting futon frame. Unpackaging took merely a couple min, a utility knife or box cutter will be your best friend to do this.

After sleeping on it for a week, I am very impressed. It is very comfortable and supportive of my 'pressure points' I do not feel the metal frame like I did before with the worn out futon I replaced. No chemical smell.

For the value this can't be beat. Glad I bought it versus taking a chance on the other ones in this price range that have reviews claiming of bed bugs. Yikes, stay away from them.

Order was delivered a day earlier than expected! Wasn't too heavy. Doesn't puff up much after sitting out but still decent and comfy enough for a couch (I don't plan on using it for sleeping other than occasional sleepovers). Does need to air out for a couple days- chemical order once out the plastic.
