DHP Rose Linen Tufted Upholstered Platform Bed, Button Tufted Headboard and Footboard with Wooden Slats, Queen Size - Grey
~
Nine months after buying this bed it fell apart and collapsed. The weight rating for the bed is 500 lbs. I weigh 245 lbs and sleep alone and at 58 years of age I can tell you there were no extracurricular activities happening in my bed. After removing the mattress I discovered the problem. Several of the plastic pieces used to hold the slats in place had broken in the center of the bed as well as two that were broken on the lower right portion of the bed. (See photo 1 and photo 2.)
~
I contacted DHP to have them send me the broken plastic pieces mentioned above. They agreed but said I needed to find a sticker on the bed to obtain the model number they needed in order to order the replacement parts. (See example sticker in photo 3). A friend and I pulled the mattress and moved the bed to the center of the bedroom to look for the alleged sticker but there simply were no stickers anywhere on the bed.

I contacted DHP again and explained there were no stickers on the bed. They insisted the sticker had to be there. I explained we had looked on the frame, behind the headboard and foot board and there was no stickers at all anywhere attached to the bed. The DHP representative blamed me for not finding the sticker and refused to order the parts I needed.
~
So I sent DHP my receipt for the bed and a link to the bed on Amazon so they could determine which bed I purchased so they could get replacement parts. Even with that information DHP refused to order and replace the broken parts.

The plastic parts were to thinned walled to support the slats which is why they broke. The bed is cheaply made with shoddy parts and DHP will not stand by their product. Learn from my experience and purchase nothing from DHP.
After six weeks of sleeping on this bed, the two pieces supporting the middle of the bed both cracked and rolled out from underneath. The bed was left entirely unsupported and can no longer be used. The two supporting pieces are very poorly made; the "metal" cracked (see photo) and cannot be reattached. The bed slats do not stay in. I am very disappointed and would like a refund.
I have been an Amazon for years now and never find the time nor energy to write reviews. I am also usually fairly satisfied with what I buy on here so I haven't felt the need to write a review. But, for this bed, I am making time to write a review...
This is the worst bed, or piece of furniture I have owned in my life. The legs (the one in the middle of the bed came out after a couple of months of use. They detached from the horizontal bar that go across the bed. When I lifted up my mattress and inspected the mess I realized that none of the bars are made of metal. They're made of some weird plastic composite. The legs were also "welded" (glued might be a better term here) to the horizontal bar on two little dots/spots. I have never seen something so poorly built. Oh and by the way, I weigh 115lbs.
I want my money back!!
I've included a photo of one of the legs. It has now come off. The other one came of a few days prior.
Problem is the curved slats are so thin they don’t provide the proper support making the metal bar that run down the center to cause a hump and the once comfortable mattress no longer is comfortable. I have the queen size purple mattress which I was very happy with when it was on a box spring and even the floor when I moved. This bed frame says you do not need a box spring but I think they are wrong. I’m going to try and fix my now uncomfortable bed with a box spring if that doesn’t work this frame is out and I’ll put my bed back on the floor where I could sleep comfortable again.
Disappointed with the quality of this bed. I ordered "Home Life Premiere Classics Cloth Light Grey Silver Linen 51" Tall Headboard Platform Bed with Slats King" at the same time, and was thrilled with that one, but when I opened this one and put it together, it seemed really cheap and shoddy, especially in comparison. I bought this for an Airbnb that we have and am a little embarrassed of the quality. Would be okay for an inexpensive kids bed, but definitely looks and feels cheap and not very solid or sturdy.
I ordered 2 different colored beds. They were fairly easy to assemble but it was time consuming. One of the beds came with faulty legs; they wobble. I contacted the seller for replacement parts as the other bed's legs work fine. I was told they do not do replacement parts and that I can return (my already assembled bed) for a replacement or refund. The seller does not make it easy for the customer to fix what SHOULD be a small issue. I would be more than willing to return the faulty legs but do not wish to dissamble the entire bed, leaving my daughter bedless and myself frustrated. I give two stars because after the beds are assembled they are very pleasing to the eye and perfect for my kids.
