After spending weeks looking for a work table to use as an island in my kitchen, I purchased this item. Everything else I considered was so expensive, but this table is quite reasonably priced. It arrived sooner than I expected, and was packaged very well. The assembly was quick and easy - the only part that was a little tricky was the back panel for the drawer because the holes were drilled in the wrong place. Also, you will need a small Phillip's head screwdriver. The other tool you need is the L-wrench, but that comes in the package. I did change out the hardware to burnished bronze to match my kitchen, instead of the chrome ones that come with the table. Plus, I used knobs instead of a towel bar so I could hang pot holders, etc. I am VERY pleased with this item and have already received compliments. It is sturdy, but not too heavy for me to move by myself. It is a bit taller than my countertops, but works well in my kitchen as an island. [One of the photos is before hardware]
It's a good island for the price. I bought 2 of these and put them side by side so now for under $300 I have a 40x40 nice kitchen island.
This is an extremely sturdy and high quality high top table that doubles as an island and storage module. Assembly was very easy. The drawer is a decent size but doesn't feel like it could hold much more than, say, 5 lbs. It glides nicely though and stays on the track no problem. I like that there is two Shelves for storage. They are decent height- can fit a cookie sheet on its side easily. Overall very satisfied with this. I shopped for an island for over a year before this one popped up and it seems this was a very good value for this type of item (I paid ~150). Only con was it took nearly two months to arrive due to back order. Worth the wait!! See photos, especially of drawer.
Love this Kitchen cart. I bought it for my brother's apt. We were able to fit his microwave, food processor, blender and toaster on the counter. The drawer is very spacious and it's a great height. It was also easy to assemble. One tip when screwing the counter top, do not tighten the screws all the way, because the rest of the holes will be misaligned.
This is a complete waste of money, and I do not have the time or patience to pack it back up for return. It wobbles, I cannot get the drawer to fit. The holes don't line up, and the directions do not have detailed enough photos to show me if I made a mistake. I am beyond disappointed. This product is cheap and poorly designed.
There is no doubt in my mind that the positive reviews are fake. There is absolutely no way that a product this flimsy can have such strong reviews. I wish Amazon would do something about fake reviews.
Poor fit and finish. Frame of the table made of soft, brittle wood. Screws never fully "bite" while assembled, and portions of the frame cracked. Leg height uneven.
Final kicker - (probably due to poor choice of/incorrectly factory assembled rails), drawer completely stuck, after inserting it all you can do is pull the entire table by its handle. See video for details.
I was looking for a kitchen island-type table, but didn't want to pay a ton of $$, so (as per usual) I wandered onto Amazon and did a search, stumbling onto this item. For the price, I wasn't sure what I'd ultimately be getting, but based on what others said, I decided to order it. It arrived last night, and I assembled it on my own in just over an hour or so (I probably could've done it in an hour flat if I'd really tried to hustle thru). The instructions were basic but easy to follow, and at no point did I get frustrated or confused (which is totally UNLIKE ME, when it comes to assembling furniture). Putting this thing together is just lining-up the right pieces, and then tightening screws with an allen wrench (which was provided) and a Phillips head screwdriver (not provided, so make sure you have one before you get to work). Once assembled, this thing feels really sturdy and solid. A good-quality affordable piece that isn't hard to put together!
I should have looked more closely at the dimensions before purchasing. Because this isn't so much a kitchen island as it is a full on workbench. At 5'4" it came up to the upper part of my rib cage. I felt like a 12 y/o standing at it, and it towered over my regular countertops and my pub table! (bar height table). So, it's too big.
But, it's also just an odd weight/assembly situation too. The bottom part feels ultra-light and cheap. And the pre-drilled holes are barely big enough for the huge screws that come with it (and in a few cases were too small). Whereas the top is like a block of cement it's so heavy. Why have the top be a decent quality piece of solid wood and the bottom be garbage? Like, one or the other.
When it came to putting the top on the bottom, forget about it. I don't know how so many people have done it. You can barely, and I mean barely, get a tool in underneath the already-assembled base to get at the screws to screw them in to the underside of the top. And that's another thing, given the problems with the pre-drilled holes and too tight spaces, have an ice bath ready for your hand when you're done. I have an electric screwdriver, which was useless for getting into some areas.
This pieces look really good in our kitchen. The quality is great for the price.
Very well made. Very sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Love this. My daughter put it together on her own! It's as tall as by cabinets and solid!
Product arrived ahead of schedule. Well packaged with clear easy to understand instructions for assembly. However, the press-board used for the drawer bottom was too thin and flexible. I needed to reinforce the drawer in a number of spots. Pretty good product overall.
