Why not use 34" plywood instead of the slats? I plan to use a Innerspring Mattress without a box spring.

Easy, easy, Clear instructions. Haven't found the headboard yet but I am sure I am overlooking it.

Straightforward easy to follow instructions. If one wanted you could use 5/4 clear pine or poplar and finish the pieces with polyurethane or stain before assembly. Some type of floor protection would also be needed depending on the type of surface this would sit on.
