Orthopedic Sherpa Top Pet Bed with Memory Foam and Removable Cover Collection

Read reviews that mention:

I had no issues with these taking their proper shape and full height after opening them. They do come compressed and folded. Just give them some time, let them lay flat somewhere, and every so often readjust the seams and corners of the cover to give the foam inside a chance to "climb". (Heck, it was even cold in my house when they arrived - I was afraid I would need to use a blow dryer or something, but nope.)

My dogs are verrrrrry happy. I have two dogs and bought two "size large" beds in the tan colour with the sherpa top. One dog (auburn coloured) is on the larger side of "medium" (and quite muscular), and the other (blue merl patterned) is more on the smaller end of "large" (but a bit chubby from not being youthfully active anymore). If you can follow that. I don't know their weights off hand. The large beds are a good size for them. The larger of the two dogs has developed arthritis in his hind legs, the poor old man. The last set of beds we had, he kept trying to "fluff up" (they were cheap thin single-layer foam beds). He would rearrange them like you see people do with pillows (bunching them up, shoving them under their head, etc), and often would snag both beds to do it, leaving the smaller dog to go bed-less. He has felt no need to "fluff" these beds. He just plops down and passes out.

I looked around for something that would be thicker than their last beds, as well as be able to hold up not-so-light-weight dogs without having them sink down in the middle. So, to me, that meant foam, not fluff-filled. I looked at sooooo many foam mattresses, even went out to pet stores to try out the various types. After messing around with various ones, it was decided that "egg crate foam" was out. Just out. Too much "give". So, we were down to various solid foams. Those have a lot of variances. Some too firm, others too squishy. So, this really made it difficult for us when thinking about possibly ordering online (we have a budget and stores were just too expensive).

I read through all the reviews of the different brands and styles... narrowed my search until I finally weeded everything else out and ordered these. My dogs couldn't be happier with me. I am a good girl. Yes, I am. A very good girl. They make sure to let me know that.

The beds are taller than any they were used to (that weren't fluff filled) but not difficult to get onto, firm enough to hold their weight, but soft enough to "give" under them *just* enough. They don't sink down too low, they don't wind up touching the hard floor through the mattress, and the beds don't feel like a brick under them (heck, my 1&1/2-year-old grandbaby loves sitting and laying down on these, they're so comfy). I swear, it has become impossible to get the larger dog to get up off of them. Some nights I do have to ask him to move a bit, as the mattresses *do* slide around on the wooden floor a wee bit, and can block the doorway of where they sleep. Used to be, he would get up immediately when asked to, so I could move the old beds. Not so much anymore. He's far too comfortable, and too deeply asleep, that he just can't be bothered with my silly human request.

Very good beds, bought by a very good girl, for her very good boys.

I have two very pampered little dogs who are beyond picky. When I received this bed within 10 minutes they were attached to it and wouldn't leave it. The bed takes around 5-8 minutes to fully fluffy up to it's full memory foam structure since it's flattened and sealed tight for packaging I assume. It's a very soft but sturdy foam, I have a 10 lb Maltese and a 13 lb Shihtzu who both can lay on the second smallest size comfortably together. The foam doesn't even look like they've laid on it which is great for longevity. I'm very pleased and plan to buy two more for the rest of the house.

6/14/18- I have to write an update because it's been two months since I've had this and last night was the first time I needed to wash the cover. My dogs LOVE milk bones and it sticks to the top, fluffy layer for whatever reason vacuuming won't pull it up and picking the pieces of bone off pulls the material off with it. So I washed it and the cover completely came apart. The thread didn't hold and the "fluffy" top still has milk bone pieces on it AND the fluffy part is all thinned out while my washer is covered in fluff. I washed it on delicate, cold and my washer is 1 year old with no center shaft, so there should be no reason why this happened. WORST part is that there is no where to contact the sell or to just buy a replacement cover so I have a foam bed that if left exposed, my dogs WILL try to eat. All bad.
Okay, we have owned it for just over a month. I was really disappointed that the cover came undone at the seams after a gentle cycle washing and a tumble dry.
I read most of the reviews before purchasing and it looked like a pretty good bet. No so, would not recommend. You can find better quality at a lower cost elsewhere.
How about a refund? The product/cover is not durable.7/11/18
*Just heard back from PETMAKER who sent me back to Amazon for a refund. Amazon web site says it is no longer a returnable item. It's defective, poorly made and it feels like I got scammed. Save your time and money and DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM
My 2 y/o GSD loves her new bed! I bought the XL which is perfect for her. It came rolled up and vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. They recommend you let it sit for 24hr to take its true form. My dog couldnt wait 30seconds to lay on it, as you can tell from the firts pic. the second picture was taken about 5 hrs after unboxing it. Its firm and comfortable and even i could nap on it lol
The memory foam is very very good quality, but I had to return it because the cover, especially the sherpa top, is so thin you can see through it. I had no problems with the return.
My pup loves it. He tried to rip it first since it's so soft but finally figured out it's his bed and super comfy! He's around 40-45 lbs but will get bigger so the large seems to be a great fit. It does smell a little strong at first--needs some time to air out.
I researched many different kinds of these beds. I was looking for a kennel bed for my chihuahua in his kennel. I wanted a memory foam one because he has bi lateral luxating patellas, and I’m trying to keep him from tearing anything. This is just something I do to provide support for him. My little guy is also blind so I needed something to fit well. I was very impressed with this bed. It is very soft and he seems to love it. I put him in his kennel and imhe immediately buried himself under the blanket and seems to be very comfortable at night. It covers the whole bottom of the kennel. It was shipped in a vacuum sealed bag to save on shipping (my shipping was free from amazon, but I imagine it would help) and puffed up quickly. I haven’t had to wash it, but it seems like the cover would be easy to wash. I would recommend this bed.
It was just ok. Not worth it for the price. Costco has way better quality, bigger beds for much cheaper. Inside was just standard cheap foam, and cover has no lining, loose threads everywhere inside, crappy zipper, hard to wrestle back onto the foam after washing. Very flimsy, especially if your dog is even a moderate chewer. Would not recommend.
The price on this for an ortho pet bed is excellent. It's exactly as described. Comes completely compressed and has to sit for 24 hours to fully expand. That said, my dog hates it so it really didn't work for this household lol

My little dog loves this, even my cat. They lay on it together.
If your dog scratches his bed before sleeping, don’t bother - it broke the first day
love this, ands do my little dogs! I want everyone to know that this is a great purchase, keeps it's very firm in the shape, but is super soft!
Decent size - decent price. Very minimalist design. Dogs took a few days to get used to it but now they love it.
This is only for really small dogs. It says uo to 45 pounds but there is no way you could get a 20kg dog on this.

It should only be recommended for dogs up to 12kg max!
Good
Firm mattress that is not loosing it's shape.

It was GREAT!! My Havanese loves this bed!!
The Dogs love it
