I’m so happy I bought this light! I had a blue LED reading light before purchasing the Hooga light, and I was always concerned about it keeping me awake. I read in the dark to fall asleep when my husband is already asleep. I used my Hooga light last night, after waking in the middle of the night, and it is so great! First, the clip and adjustment arm are so much better than those on my old light, so I’m not constantly adjusting. More importantly, it was immediately clear that it was gentler on my eyes while still being bright enough to where I didn’t have to strain my eyes, and I actually fell asleep within minutes. No more circadian rhythm disruption for this lady!

I wasn't sure if getting an amber light would be worth it, but I'm convinced. I'm planning to order a couple more as gifts!

The light was smaller than I imagined, but it puts out enough light to comfortably read by. It's lightweight enough that I don't notice any added weight to the book. Usage could not be easier - just squeeze the light to activate.

I usually read on my iPad in bed, and it takes me some time to fall asleep. I've only had this light a few nights so far, but already I can tell that I drift off much faster.

Got this for my 7yo who likes to read before bed. Recent research reports we should be avoiding blue lights before bed. This is perfect and he loves it! Easy to use and just bright enough. We love that it is rechargeable!

I enjoy this light to read at night. The clip is a bit bulky so I attached it to my headboard instead of my book. I was surprised the clip opened up this big, a nice bonus because I had looked at headboard reading lights as well. It works great this way, a nice amber glow on the lowest setting. Initial charge took about 6 hours. Can't comment on time between charges as I've only been using it a few days.

I adore this book light! I have green eyes, which are very sensitive to different kinds of lights. I’ve always used a booklight but never have I enjoyed the light that it emitted until now. This light is so easy and calming on my eyes. I love that it has two settings. The lower setting is perfect for if you’re trying to read to fall asleep and the brighter light is great for keeping your attention for hours to continue reading. The battery charge lasts an impressively long time and charges very quickly. Literally cannot recommend this book light enough.

I love this light - I do notice a difference with the amber tint - I seem to be able to fall asleep more easily. It stays active forever on a single charge, and the flexibility of the neck is great - you can light your book with ease! My only complaint-not-a-complaint is that it is BRIGHT! Even on the lowest setting, it will illuminate the entire room. So if you're hoping for a subdued light that will just brighten your page - without blinding your sleeping bed partner - this one might not be for you. My husband could sleep through a floodlight being pointed at him, so it's great for us!

This book light is perfect for reading in bed when you don't want exposure to a lot of blue light. It is amber colored and has two levels of light. The dimmer level has been perfect for me. It attaches well to both hard back and paper back books and it is flexible enough to position so that the light covers both pages of the open book. I like it so much that I bought an additional one for my husband. I also like that it is rechargeable, although after using for 2 weeks, I have not yet had to recharge.

We are a family of bookworms and biohackers, LOL. My kids love to read before bed but unfortunately our rental has blue LED can lights all over the house. This is the perfect solution to let them read but also not stimulate their photoreceptors and disrupt their circadian rhythm. Do not hesitate to buy this! It works well with my old Kindle Keyboard as well. Really impressed with this product!

It was a lot more compact then I had originally though but it feels like a great quality product. I attached the light to my headboard with ease.

I was also surprised to find that it actually is rechargeable! I missed that when reading but it works with no cords for up to 30 hours! Amazing!

Overall great product. I would recommend to anyone who needs an affordable eye-friendly book light!

Best reading light I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! The amber light from this reading light is still bright enough to easily read even the smallest font; it doesn’t interrupt with your natural circadian rhythm or interrupt your sleep cycle. The added bonus of the USB rechargeable battery puts it over the top! It’s a perfect reading light & I highly recommend anyone considering adding it to their bedtime routine - don’t hesitate, buy it TODAY!

Everything is good with 2 exceptions:
1. The rubber that touches the paper is actually crumbling very easily and makes the paper dirty, black smudges. I don't know if it is just mine but it is very visible, impossible to avoid it so I had to remove the rubber completely. Work reasonably well without it (the plastic does not slide that easily on the paper of the books).
2. The sound of the button changing the brightness level is actually quite loud given that I used it in bed to read to my son (I can't change the brightness until he is heavily asleep or I simply get out of the room first).

A minor thing is that the button to change the brightness is basically the light head itself and so easily to press while trying to adjust the position but this is not a big deal after a bit of use.

Works perfectly! Bought this as I finally clued in that even on low settings, the Kindle Paperwhite emits low blue light.

So, given that there are no “reputable” blue light overlays that you can purchase on Amazon (the only one I could find made dubious claims and had bad reviews), I thought I would try this out.

There are many warm book lights that you buy. But I appreciate this one as it offers ONLY warm light options (three settings, low, med, high).

Since I use it with a Kindle, at first I thought it wouldn’t be sturdy enough, but once clipped on, it stays in place when I move the Kindle around (horizontal, vertical). The clip also works with my Kindle case (the clip opens wide enough).

Light quality is perfect. See the before/after pictures.

Haven’t used it enough to test battery life, but assuming it will be as long as the manufacturer states. Other reviews I have read here

Just started using this with paperback books. Love it. Like others have mentioned, the light colour is easy on the eyes. It is a bit heavy so clip it to the last .25" of pages and cover but be careful when you are at the end of the book as clipping it to just the book cover can damage the book. So far that is my only complain/observation and I will update if anything changes.

The best reading light!! My Dr told me about using red bulbs at night to help me with my sleep issues, so I used red nail polish to turn my previous book lights red lol Just a coat or 2 over the light. So his great this one came that way, & it’s actually better quality too! It’s got the best clamp I’ve experienced. It’s just perfect. Period.

Love this light. The colour is so warm and easy on your eyes. The clip holds well and the flexible shaft is great for adjusting to any size book. I find the brightness enough to read by and it doesn’t disturb my partner when I’m reading and he’s sleeping.

The colour of the light is perfect. Nice warm glow. Let's you read without making it too bright for others in the room. I actually also like to use it as a nightlight for the kids. Charge lasts forever! Would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone!

The warm light is great for nighttime use. However, the light does not hold its charge nearly as long as another similar product I have purchased, and a non-essential piece of clip cushioning came unglued almost immediately.
