As my headline suggests, I just got a new piece of furniture (upholstered shoe chest) AND a new cat (14 year old senior with very sharp claws). I knew I needed something when I heard the tell-tale scratch-scratch-scratch. I ordered up these furniture protectors and the cat(s) seem to be ignoring the furniture. These protectors come with a light adhesive backing and upholstery pins for additional security. Easy to apply and nearly invisible. So far, so good with protecting my new bench. (I didn't cover all the bench as the cat seems to like the ends and corners the best.) I've only had these installed for a week or so. Time will tell how they hold up.

Seems like a good product, I’ve had it on for a few weeks now and it isn’t slipping. The only bad thing is that the tacks aren’t necessarily universal, they need to be inserted into a part of the furniture with some fluff or volume. This doesn’t work very well on the skirting board of a couch. However, for something like a puffy recliner, it is perfect!

Great design, loves that it had the sticky backing as well as the twist pins for anchoring. I bought the 8 pack with XL and L sizes. I recommend that if you have a couch with curves like mine. Very thin but not easily scratched. My cat tried his best and was quickly bored... Didn’t even leave a mark.
The only thing I would recommend for the variety pack would be round pieces. Had a hard time getting it fit to every nook and cranny (my couch has round arms. But even with that, I’d buy these again and highly recommend to anyone with fur babies that like to scratch.
Oh and cute bonus.. they sent a poem and a couple stickers. Nice personal touch!
