Pretty disappointed with the finish. It wasn’t until I was 80% complete on a pretty tedious assembly, that I realized one corner was completely smashed, another corner looks chewed on, and there was a chip in the very front. I flipped the headboard piece over to realize it says “Product Date DEC 2017”. Today is August 22, 2018. I guess it’s been hanging out in the back of a warehouse, causing trouble, being scrappy for the last 8 months until I was unfortunate enough to spend $1,400 and have them fish it out from the back. The pieces that came preassembled were crappily assembled too. Since it’s just a spare bed in the basement and I don’t have to see it everyday, I’ll let it stay.

I am very happy with this bed and the customer service provided by Spencer Discount Furniture was excellent. We purchased this bed for our guestroom and for my son when he visits on his college breaks. It arrived in perfect condition and is very comfortable. I did put a 2 inch topper on it to help make the mattress more uniform. I chose this cabinet bed because it has an open headboard - all the others are enclosed within the cabinet.
I called Spencer Discount Furniture after I ordered to inquire about the firmness of the mattress and the possibility of having it assembled prior to delivery. They will assemble it for you for an additional fee - but they walked me through the process on the phone and I chose to handle it myself. It took my husband and I 2.5 hours to assemble and was easier than an IKEA bookshelf. Most of it requires a size 4 allen wrench, which they include with the bed. Assembly will go much faster if you have a power drill with this bit (we did not) or a sturdy multitool with this size wrench. Assembly directions are included and you can also access videos and more detailed directions online (we did not). Super happy with the bed and Spencer Discount Furniture.

We purchased this unit t provide an extra bed for either company or me (my wife snores, so if we have company using the second bedroom (which is where I normally sleep), there’s a comfortable alternative. And it IS very comfortable. I was worried that the mattress was going to be too thin to provide support and comfort, when we unboxed it. But after a day out of the box, it fully expanded and is as comfortable as many regular mattresses I’ve slept on. The assembly is pretty easy, and the online video is excellent at giving you some heads up. I put most of it together myself, with a few assists from my wife. All in all, an excellent Murphy. Oh, and it was $800 less on Amazon versus Wayfair!

I highly recommend this piece of furniture and the dealer, Spencer Discount Furnitrue. This is my first review on Amazon. I was nervous when I ordered this Cube Bed—it is the biggest purchase (both in size and $$$) that I have ever made on line. I read these reviews and it seemed like exactly what I needed to make my smallish study into a comfortable inviting guestroom (usually guests were relegated to a series of aerobeds that worked ‘til they didn’t). I did the measuring and ordered the queen size. It is perfect! It is easy to set up as a bed. The finish on the piece (I got the cherry) is gorgeous. It is actually more formal and polished than the picture on line (which looks more rustic). It is sturdy and made with solid wood panels and sturdy latches and fittings. It took my adult son a couple leisurely hours to assemble on his own. He reports that it is very comfortable (“the most comfortable temporary bed I have ever slept on”). I also have to give a BIG shout out to Spencer Discount Furniture. I got an initial email from them discussing scheduling delivery and I had some questions and I called them and Chad was great! He patiently answered my questions. When the pieces were delivered, my son and I unpacked them and found a piece had broken off one of the major component parts. This had clearly happened in shipping. I immediately sent an email with pictures and then called Spencer. Chad not only answered, but remembered our previous conversation. He immediately stated he would send a replacement component the next day. We received the replacement part and it was perfect. I give this piece a 5 star rating despite the need to replace a component because things can get hurt in cross-country transit (it shipped from Arizona and I am in Maryland). All you can ask is that there is prompt, courteous and satisfactory follow up. I got that and am extremely pleased with this beautiful and functional piece of furniture.

I love this bed. I set it up in the guest room on the main floor of my small house figuring I would usually have it closed. Three days after I set it up I broke my leg so haven’t been able to climb stairs to my bedroom. This bed has thankfully been extremely comfortable!

Delivered quickly and was packaged great. It took myself, daughter and sister a little over 2 hours to put together. Fairly easy using the website instructions to follow. Very happy with the purchase.
