Seemed nice when I got them. Washed in cold water hand wash cycle in the washer and 5 of the towels started to fall apart and unravelled at the seams. Not impressed expect a better quality!
There really isn't much that needs to be said about towels, but if you are in need of some -- you can't go wrong with these. They are a great neutral color (look as displayed in picture). I will say that if you are using them to wipe up messes, they do stain, and the stains don't come out very easily. If you're going for a decorative look and don't want something that will get messy, these aren't for you. If you're looking for a good quality, texture, and durable towel to help you out in the kitchen, this is the towel for you. I will add that they can start to smell if you don't wash them regularly. By regularly, I mean don't let them sit out for more than a day or two after getting wet. I noticed that some of them started to absorb food smells, which can be off putting if you use them as a hand towel. No body wants to smell like onion after washing their hands. Great for messes, you get a bunch for a low price, and they are machine washable -- they haven't fallen apart on me in the slightest and they get used heavily.
These are the worst towels! I bought them because the reviews were really great. I am not sure how they got such a good rating. The do not dry anything, they smear the water around the counter, they do not work well to dry anything. They are horrible! I washed them and they are coming apart at the seems. They look nice, but are not good towels at all. I wouldn’t recommend them.
THESE TOWELS ABSORB WATER!!!!
I know that sounds .. obvious? But you would be surprised at how many simply don't. Kitchen towels have one purpose, to absorb water. Yeah, that's right, they have ONE JOB and so many simply do not do it, even though they are marketed as absorbent (some towels are more for polishing than drying).
If you, like me, were dismayed at living in a society and world that produced defective towels, these will delight you. They're cotton so they'll leave some lint, but *they are kitchen towels, not dish towels, so they're supposed to*.
I'm glad I got that out of my system, and I'm glad I bought these.
Product looks nice but after washing these towels on a light cycle the seams and piled weave seem to deteriorate.. this was just a preliminary wash.
Had these for about 10 months. I don't cycle through them quickly, so each one may have been washed once or twice a month, and already 3 fall apart. 'Fall apart' meaning a side unraveled, like the bottom of some old jeans in which the seam tears off and strings and loops hang out. Fabric is pretty thin; not in the same league as the 10-15 year-old towels I replaced. Considering these cost about $1.58 per towel, and I bought replacements for these at an unnamed membership-only warehouse club last week for roughly half price - $0.80 per towel, and they were thicker and looked more well-made, I have to recommend against this particular purchase.
When I received these towels, at first glance, they looked great. After washing and drying them before use, I noticed one had a bunch of loose threads (shredded) on one side and another on the other edge. When I started to fold the rest of the towels, I started noticing loose threads on almost every towel edge. The colors are great and they seem to be absorbent. I just don't think they are going to last too long. I tossed the worst one and am using the rest until they disintegrate. Don't think I'll be buying them again though. I would have to rate the quality as less than average. Update: It is now the end of October, 2020 and I would like to increase my star rating to a 4. These towels have held up since my review in June. They have not had any more loose threads and still work and look great. They wash up well too.
It was time to cycle through some of our older dish towels, and these seemed like a good value for the quantity. I've bought this bundle of towels twice (one was labeled differently but they are the same), and they've held up great. No shedding, no rips, no fraying edges---even after many trips through the laundry.
Note: these are used primarily for drying hands and wiping small spills; that is, we aren't using them for drying dishes. They are fine for our purposes, but I think they would not be large or absorbent enough for drying dishes and pans on a regular basis. They are just basic "utility" towels, nothing heavy-duty.
I bought these needing new kitchen towels and not impressed. After the first wash the threading started coming off on some of the ends where they are sewn. Now after the third wash and most of the ends are no longer sewn together and towels look crappy.
These obviously function as towels, but they are cheap - not "scored a good deal" cheap. Thin, generally crappy looking, fraying at the ends. I wanted a full set that matched but didn't want to spend 50$ on towels that are destined to get dirty, so these fit that need. But I won't buy again, and I think I'll just spend the money and get what I like - I hate leaving these out for company to see.
I was pleasantly surprised by these tea towels. They washed up very nicely. They look good. I use some of the gray ones to dry my dog's paws and they have held up well. I use the rest of them in my kitchen. Very handy to have 12 of them.
Very thin. See through. Not what I expected so returning for refund.
I love these towels. They are soft, absorbent and look like the pictures. I would recommend.
