I ordered a Nectar mattress from Amazon. I got home from a jungle-hot day at work a few days later to what appeared to be a 6ftX3ft 90lb tube in my garage, which was thoughtfully shipped in a duffle bag that could’ve fit my entire Jeep. I hauled this bad boy up a flight of stairs, lungs burning like I just ran a 5k through the Mohave. I wrestled it onto my old box spring and, panting, yanked the contents from the bag (which was tighter than an elephant in an inner tube). They sent a little seatbelt cutter tool to remove the vacuum-sealed plastic, and as soon as I made the first cut, my new bed, my happy place, began hissing at me like I forgot our anniversary. I stepped back to watch with the anxiety one might have popping a can of Pillsbury biscuits against a counter. The mayhem over, the new sheets and comforter and pillows in place (because, adulting) and I’m anticipating the promised better sleep I should get from this. Otherwise, my sweat, blood and tears - because the sweat went into my eyes...I wasn’t being a little bitch - would’ve all been in vain. To be continued...
Addendum: After one night on this mattress, I’d have to say that it was totally worth it. When my alarm went off this morning, I snoozed it a few times and thoroughly enjoyed just laying there, contemplating how much I actually need my salary, benefits and pension.
I'll get right to the point. My wife and I had a sleep number mattress for 9yrs. I have Anklyosing Spondylitist (you can look that up in Google), which is nothing more than a high speed name for arthritis of my spine.
This past year my wife has been waking up with lower back pain where she was walking around when she first woke up like a stiff robot. She could hardly bend down to get dressed. We always filled the mattress up to 100 and then dropped it down to our sleep number. For her we started to increase the number to make it firmer to see if that would help. It didn't. I would always wake up through the night because she would get up because the bed would shake and often would wake up tired. I finally decided that enough is enough so I did extensive research on Mattresses for under 1K. All in all I spent about 2-3 hours reading and watching all of the comparisons from independent websites. After all the research, I decided to try the Nectar Mattress. I was a little comprehensive because of my condition because I didn't want it to be too firm, but if it was, then I could send it back because of 365 night trial period.
I ordered this mattress on Tuesday, and it arrived on my front door on Thursday. Thank you Amazon. My wife and I set it up Friday morning and we slept on it that night. It was unbelievable. After the first night, my wife woke up with very little back discomfort and could actually bend over, stand up straight and lift her left leg up off the floor. We're in our late 40s and 50s. I have to say for me the first night was a little more difficult because I was used to sleeping on a sleep number bed at 45. However, the 2nd and 3rd nights were incredible. We both sleep like babies and when the other person turns or moves you don't feel them. I even did the test of putting a glass of water on one side of the bed and rolling around on the other side. I'm not going to give you our height and weight but our weight is normal for both our heights. Total weight between us is 330lbs.
We unpacked the queen size Nectar mattress that came with two pillows (we use them for sitting up in our bed) with no problem at 7:00am. The smell was minimum, nothing overbearing and we kept our ceiling fan on. We put our sheets on it at 11:00pm that night and went to sleep. Bottom line best divestment I've made when it came to a mattress. I highly recommend this mattress for people that sleep on the back, side, and occasionally on their stomachs. If you're a solid stomach sleeper then their maybe a firmer mattress out there for you.
My wife's back is getting better everyday. We're both feeling well rested when we get up. I have to say when it's time to get up we don't want to because it's so comfortable. This morning we slept an hour longer than we should have. I usually don't spend a lot of time reviewing products, but I thought this product/mattress was worthy of my time. I am not an employee of this company, nor was I paid for my review. Try this mattress out for yourself. You won't be sorry.

We ordered our NECTAR Queen Mattress on June 28th and received our new mattress on July 3rd. I was so excited when I got notified that it had been delivered that I ran home for lunch so I could get the mattress opened and let it begin to expand, in hopes that we could sleep on it that night. I lugged the big blue duffel upstairs (it's not light) and I opened the mattress in our bedroom. I unrolled it on the floor and laid everything out so it could expand. Upon opening it I noticed a VERY strong chemical smell, especially from the pillows. I opened one of our windows and turned on the fans and left the house to go back to work.
I arrived home after work and rushed upstairs to see how the mattress was expanding. As soon as I go into the hallway to our room I noticed again the strong chemical smell, like wet paint. As I rounded the corner, I saw that the middle of the mattress was expanded but the top and bottom were not. Both ends were only expanded to about 75% of what the middle was. I chalked it up to the compression packaging and began the process of removing our old mattress and moving the Nectar onto our bed frame, hoping that it would expand.
We've now had our mattress almost a week and the top and bottom of the mattress has not expanded any further. I can still smell a faint chemical smell from the mattress. It's annoying but not overwhelming. I have woken up with a headache for the past couple days so I'm assuming it's related to the smell. The pillows are still so strong that it makes me feel nauseous just being close to them so they are unusable at this point (sitting outside on our deck because wet paint smell is so bad). We have tried sleeping on the mattress for the past couple of nights in hopes that it would even out but all we’ve ended up with is sore necks and legs. The middle section is quite nice but both ends of the mattress sag badly, creating a situation where we are sleeping on a rainbow-like curve and our pillows slide off the bed. It puts pressure on necks and our calves and my back/hip has been very sore because of the curve.
I'm beginning the process of getting a replacement or refund and I'll update this post once that process is finalized.
We were on the lookout for a new foam mattress, came across Nectar on Amazon and thought to give it a go! The ordering and delivery process was smooth, and it arrived on the day we were informed it would. We ordered the King and it's amazingly comfortable, not too soft and not too hard either. We have used other well known foam mattress brands before, but Nectar has definitely impressed us with their standard of quality! Highly recommended.
This mattress is fantastic. Firm but comfortable, it's amazingly supportive and just what I've been looking for. And the 365 day trial and "forever guarantee" mean you don't have to worry about things going wrong in the future.
That aside, the customer service these guys offer is fantastic. I made a mistake with my order and expected some pillows with the mattress. We've had to replace a lot of our stuff following a house fire, and some free pillows was one less thing to sort. Nectar very generously offered to send us some pillows anyway, a kind gesture which we very much appreciate.
So, brilliant product, top notch guarantee and amazing customer service - what's not to like?
Excellent so far, but can’t vouch for what it will be like in 6-12 months, but do have the reassurance of a lifetime guarantee! It’s firm, comfortable, not too hot, and we are sleeping SO well on it.
Great value for money as I bought it on your deal of the day, even having it shipped over to Spain I still saved £50. Great quality and loved the fact I received two free pillows with it.
Excellent quality and good value for a good night sleep.
Didn’t expect it to be this worth it. Definitely well worth it. Will definitely stick with this mattress.
Having only had a couple of nights on the Nectar King mattress, I can't really attest to it's long term durability. I can however say that it's incredible value for money as I happened to catch a special offer making it only £560. This is my first full foam mattress. It's so much softer than my previous mattress but also offers great support. I'm a side sleeper and used to wake in the morning with pain my neck and shoulders, and my back would generally need a good crack. But since using this, I've noticed a significant improvement in my spine alignment and shoulder pain in the mornings. I'll update this review in the coming months when I've had a more time on it. But so far so good. And I know if I'm not happy within the first year, I can call them up, they'll collect it for free, and give me a full refund. Can't lose.
This mattress is truly versatile enough to accommodate any sleeping position. It is firm enough for stomach and back sleepers for lumbar support but also conforms for side sleepers.
