After I ordered this, I saw many negative reviews about how bad the directions were and how difficult it was to put together. I was concerned.

It turns out, there wasn’t much need to be. Everything arrived intact, and all the pieces were there. The directions were clear, and assembly was easy, taking me less than an hour to complete.

Note that every piece and every bag of parts is labeled with a letter or number that is referenced in the directions. See attached photos for examples.

The only issue I had was in the small drawings. Sometimes the orientation of pieces is not clear. If you take time to match up pieces and the drilled holes in them with the pictures in the directions, everything will be fine.

Note that the drawer slides are stamped with a letter R and L to keep you from getting them confused. The directions label these as parts F and G and they are indistinguishable in the printed guide. Pay attention to the labeling on the part as pictured here, and everything will be fine.

I am so in love with this shelf!! It is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Definitely don't over tighten and its a better 2 person job (just to have someone steady shelves while you put screws in sides...ect..). Built by myself in under an hour. It adds the perfect amount of class to our room.

Perfect size. Was able to put 4 storage boxes on the shelves. Drawer won’t hold anything more than stamps or envelopes. Side detail beautiful. Easy assembly.

This piece of furniture is good value and good looking. However, the assembly was maddeningly difficult because of the numerous mistakes in the instructions. For example, in Step 1 (yes, the mistakes start in Step one), the gliders for the drawer are reversed - so the glider that belongs on the right is to be installed on the left, and vis-versa. I eventually figured out that it did not make sense. Also, the drawing shows the gliders flush with the back, when in fact they are to be installed in the middle of the side panel (still in Step one!).
Perhaps people who say the assembly was easy had different instructions or, perhaps better yet, did not follow instructions at all.
I hope that Convenience Concepts is reading this and correct their mistakes. That being said, would I buy this again? Yes. Good luck.

This table looked great in the picture and probably if all the parts had been right it would have been okay. I have put together a lot of furniture and had no trouble but the parts were damaged and you could tell it probably had been returned by someone else and just sent back out. The packages were all open and the packing was crumbled and broken. I was very disappointed. I even went ahead and put it together thinking I might could fix it but it was too damaged. I will say that the box was damaged also and the gauge could have been caused by the delivery people.

I'm feeling a 3.5, but there isn't that option. No rounding up for this one though. I feel it will work as a "behind the couch" table but worried how long the finish will last.

Pros: wood seems dense enough to take some beating. Price point for the item was ok. Once fully assembled, seems sturdy enough, no wiggles.

Cons: many bolts had bad threads. Some of the holes are a bit off, some things dont fit completely flush. The black lacquer doesn't hold up on the corners. Lastly, they really got chintzy with the bolt hole covers. Not wood plugs, but black stickers! Lame.

Took around 60 mins to assemble with electric driver and having to fix some hardware, and kids bouncing around asking me 1000 questions.

I love it! It's beautiful! My husband was able follow the instructions, but did have a few issues, nothing major. It fits perfectly at our door way and the drawer is a large one. I have candles, batteries and the flash light in the drawer. The color is even prettier in person! I'm so happy we have this.

Difficult task to assemble this without two people. Took me about 3 hoursto assemble after requesting replacement parts from the manufacture. Received the box without any hardware to assemble the table and drawer bottom wasbroken. Took 2 weeks for hardware (screws,cams, nails) since they forgot to send it with (again) with the drawer bottom. Overall great value for price but assembly was tortuous

I should have known reading the reviews. Do NOT buy this. The screws that came with it will not even allow completing step one as they are not long enough. I needed this for a video shoot and will not get replacement parts in time.

Nice product except for the fact it looked like it was not finished cracked in spots the handles were chipped the bags that the screws came in were all open and rusted.
