So putting this thing together took some time. The directions are not super clear. IKEA directions are better. I would suggest that they put stickers on the parts to make it a little easier. Also wish they would have provided additional screws as 1 of them stripped, but that was my fault. Big suggestion when putting this together, is try to only finger tight the bolts in, which will give you some room to manuever the other screws into place as it may be a tight squeeze and you may not get them to line up and possibly strip them so little tidbit and caution to those putting this set together. It truly is a beautiful looking set. I love the color and the size. It fits in my patio just right. Please be aware as well, that this Rattan is not wood, but rather appears to be a synthetic weather resistant material, that really gives that great appearance of Rattan, but seems like this will really withstand the outdoors. The cushions are comfortable and fit just right. We decided not to place the glass on the table as we have kids that like to climb on everything and worry about the glass breaking. Maybe when they get a little older, we can place it on there. The glass is tempered and fits the table rather nicely, there are little suction cups to keep the glass in place as well. All in all, we are very pleased with this set and truly hope that it will last us a good amount of time. It's not a huge set like others out there and for our purposes really set's up nice in our patio.
Again take your time putting this set together and another suggestion is to lay out all the bolts out. Note: the smaller bolts are for the table, the longer bolts are for the loveseat and the chairs.
I was fortunate enough to receive this set at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I hope I have helped in your purchasing decision. as well as given some helpful hints at putting it together.
I was worried this set would be too small, cheaply made and that I would never be able to put it together because of the bad instructions... The size of this set is similar to a set I looked at in Target for a fraction of the price, I think it's a nice size but the loves seat is just that, a two person seating chair (which I had hoped would fit maybe 3 but won't). And I was trying to be somewhat realistic with myself with the size but I do wish that was a three seater. The cushions are thinner but they are still comfortable. They are light weight chairs that are water proof and sturdy. And I'm most excited that the directions while not detailed where easy once I separated all the screws and pieces into piles of what goes with what... The boxes separated the single chairs from the loveseat. so I kept as is, and didn't confuse the pieces. Also, the table has suction cups to hold the glass table top on, which I believe is a nice bonus. I was clearing my day schedule to put this together but found it only took me 1 1/2 hr. (Yes, it was just me that put it together). Honestly I think this set is a very nice set I had bought a few throw pillows and a gas fire pit for the deck and it looks incredible with this set... I'm super happy...
Update: 2 years after I bought this set. All is well EXCEPT THE TABLE. We assume that the suns direct light reflecting off of the glass top is possibly causing more heat on the faux wicker because it started breaking towards the end of last year. Everything else is perfect.
Make no mistake. This set is a bear to put together. It took me four hours. Note: I have no great proclivities toward nor do I embrace assembly of any kind (well maybe with friends, but you catch my drift). Once I got the first chair put together everything else was pretty easy. Just took a while. Now that the set is together, I absolutely love it. It looks marvelous on my small deck. I needed a set that wasn't too big, but would feel like a little retreat. This is the set. Cannot beat the set for the price. Worth all 4 hours of assembly.
Although it looks pretty... This outdoor furniture is not meant to be outside in the sun. The material broke apart only after a few months and when you take off the cushions to wash them the stuffing breaks apart. It’s not regular pillow stuffing more like a mix between fiberglass and styrofoam and it’s very itchy. The cushions also mildew if left outside.
It's pretty but... very small and uncomfortable to sit on with the straight backs and thin seats. My neighbor is overweight (about 250 lbs) and can sit on the couch but not the chairs. Took a long time to put together. Directions hard to understand. But I'm technically challenged. I wish I had bought something different. Good quality wicker. Looks nice in my gazebo. I would add a photo but unable to do so for some reason.
This conversation set is absolutely beautiful and for the price point it is a steal! I am not the most handy person, but my husband and I figured that the two chairs would be the most difficult and started assembling them first. The directions (not written directions but rather illustrations) are a little unclear and having the parts labeled would help tremendously, but I would say it was fairly easy to put together. The order in which you need to put the single chairs and sofa together are as follows:
1. Parts A and C need to be screwed together first (these parts are the back and 1 side of your chair or sofa)
2. Then screw the seat in which is part D
3. Then screw another side in which is part B
The table is such a breeze to put together that after figuring out the order of the chairs I didn't need to look at the directions for the table and put that together in literally 10 minutes. The set comes with a tool that makes tightening the screws very easy. The set is comfortable, and I don't feel it is small at all. My husband and daughter are 5'11 and they fit nicely on it. It is also pretty comfortable as I was expecting that it wouldn't be based on some of the reviews about the cushions. No they are not top quality seat and back cushions, but that is an easy fix if someone wanted to change them out. Overall I am extremely pleased with this set!
