I love this set. I have never seen such quality for this kind of price. It looks modern and it looks very sturdy. I assembled it myself without a problem in less than 2 hours.
Nice little patio set. Great bargain for the price. They are comfortable but the padding isn't too great so I went and bought new cushions and I love it even more.
Up Date: I am extremely happy with the purchase of this outdoor set after 2 years. It does not spend too much time outdoors, because friends and family like to sit on it in my dining room. I mentioned that taller people might not find the furniture comfy. I want to amend that. A tall woman, over 6ft, found the furniture very comfy and I was happy to see her choose to sit there. She did have other choices.
I just received my patio set. I love it! I put the whole set together in a little over an hour. You can easily assemble this set with one person. If you are experienced at assembling furniture, this is a piece of cake. For those less experienced, don't try using the tools they send. You are better off with a ratchet screw driver and a pliers or the proper wrench for the nuts. You are working with aluminum. The pre threaded holes may be sticky. Grab the spray cooking oil from the kitchen and give the threads a quick shot to lubricate them. Don't tighten everything down right away. Hand tighten first. After all the pieces are to a unit are together, then go back and tighten down bolts.
I would like to add to the comments that the set is small. Yes it is small. Definitely great for tight places. It is very comfortable. I am 5'7", 150lbs and am very comfortable in this furniture . With that being said, if you are tall and/or big, you may not be as comfortable. My brothers are over 6'3" and big guys. I think that they would choose other chairs. My nephew, who is 6'8" Would not sit on these pieces. All the women and the shorter men would be fine.
I'm completely satisfied with this set. No, it does not look and feel like a wicker set from Pottery Barn. Yes, it is plastic. Yes, it's small. But it's exactly what I was looking for: an inexpensive, nice-looking patio set on the smaller side for my front porch. If that's what you want, then this set is great. It is time-consuming to assemble, and the tools are not great. That being said, I assembled the whole set by myself with no problems in about 2 hours. As long as you connect all of the pieces before tightening the screws, it should come together pretty easily. Very happy with this purchase! I have already received several compliments on it, and we thoroughly enjoy sitting on it in the morning with coffee or the evenings with a glass of wine!
The whole set was just over 200 dollars so I figured this would be cheap and flimsy but honestly I'm really happy with the product. Happier than I thought I would be. Of course it's not real wicker. It's like a plastic kind of wicker but to me that will probably make it last longer. And I can wipe it off easier too. It's soft and it looks good. If I get 5 years out of it that will still be a great deal. And I've already spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the sound of the rain or reading etc. I really am glad I bought this. All the items in this photo came from Amazon. Added different cushions and some throws etc..
**P.S. Some of the screws didn't want to go in all the way. I'm not a mechanical lady so I just didn't worry about it. I got them in as far as I could. The chairs seem very sturdy in spite of this.
I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm going to post the photos of all the pieces and then after I assembled it, which was quite simple. It looks great on our patio! I added 18x18 decorative tan/brown/dark red pillows to the set, not shown here. Which makes it more comfortable for your back.
These pieces look awesome! My issue is that it literally took an hour to put together the seating and a half hour to put together the table. Don’t get me wrong, it looks fantastic. I have had my fair share of ikea furniture with picture directions. With maybe 4 steps for each seating unit, you would think it would be easy/fast. Other reviews said it wasn’t that bad. My husband was out of town and I wanted to surprise him with some outdoors furniture for our backyard. Let me just tell you, unless you have a spouse of some sort or friend to help you put it together, pay for the assembly! I was taking the cheap route and was thinking, how hard could it be? Again, I’ve put together ALOT of ikea furniture. It’s not like the directions were bad, or I’m just stupid, the holes for the screws just do not line up. On my second night of putting it together, (I have a toddler, I worked in this for a couple hours after 8pm - I just looked at the clock, 3.5 hours, each night) I literally sat in the ground crying I was so frustrated. After last night of trying many hours to get things together, I went to Home Depot to get longer screws thinking that would help only to realize the inside of the hole is stripped. Which is funny because I never got anything inside half of them. Honestly though, now that it’s done, I’m really happy with them, it was just a very long road.
I purchased this set a little over a month ago. It took longer to arrive than the two days guaranteed by the "prime" listed on it. It arrived undamaged and took about 1.5 hrs to assemble with the given Allen Wrench. The assembly was difficult as all the pieces had to align perfectly for the screws to go in properly. It took some pulling and pushing on my part as I screwed it together.
Once assembled, I LOVE IT! It's a great size for our little back patio. The chairs are comfortable. The problem has come with the cushions. The mostly keep them inside the house. We had a light rain last week while I was at work. I came home and didn't realize they were wet. The next day I put the cushion covers in the wash and they came out moldy and dirty. I cannot get them clean.
Overall I like these chairs but am very disappointed with the cushions!! I thought they would be more durable and weather resistant.
