I've gone through 2 automated trash cans so far in my kitchen. One was far too large and the trash would start to smell before filling the trash bag. The other had a small opening and didn't open regularly. Decided to purchase this simple, manual trash can and have been happy with everything so far. 13 gallons is the perfect size and the lid opens without fail with a simple step. Highly recommended for the price.

Not a great trashcan. The lid broke off within a week, the arms that keep the trash bags down don't work well, the step to get it open is weirdly high. Demoting this to a junky outdoor trash can and getting something else.

I like the trash can but I don't like how the trash bag have to be on two hooks. If I knew this I would not have purchased it.

I have had this trash can for a couple months now and I love it! It is so easy to replace the trash bag. The trash bag doesn’t fall down since their are two little “arms” that hold it up. I was looking for a great cheap trash can that my dogs couldn’t get into and I found it!

Trash cans have got to be the biggest rip-off ever for what they're used for and for how much you generally pay. This one, however, is somewhat of an exception. Were it not so darn flimsy, it'd have 5 stars. This trash can has been knocked over on three separate occasions; and each time, the led pops off. It's not difficult to fix, but after a while, just pressing the peddle makes the lid come off the hinge. Then there are the little arms inside the trash can that disconnect every time I take a full trash bag out. It's rather annoying. Still yet, value for your money is still better than any metal trash can I've seen. I mean, $100 for a trash can is inane. Get GLAD, even if I only give it three stars.

The price was good. The design needs serious rework. (-1) The side flaps to hold the bag don't stay down when the bag is installed. (-2) The top continues to pop off of the tabs for no particular reason requiring you to push it back on. This will eventually wear down those tabs and then this will be one more thing to recycle.
I am regretting buying the inexpensive garbage can.

Replaced this with a more expensive but better constructed trash can and have been very happy for months.

It's a great garbage can. It's sturdy and easy to get the bag out of and refill. My husband uses the foot pedal to open it while I normally lift the lid with hand for my own personal reasons, but it's very handy. It stays cleaner than our last on that had a swinging lid. Turned that one into a recycling can.

Bag holders don’t stay down. Difficult to put bag in. Hard to take trash out. Oddly high foot pedal.
