George Foreman 4-Serving Removable Plate Grill and Panini Press, Black, GRP1060B

I had, when I purchased this grill, 2 larger George Foreman grills that over the years, I have loved.
I bought this grill because I live alone..cook for one..and thought the removable grill plates might be easier
for me to clean.
First of all, this grill is small enough to fit on my counter in front of another appliance..it works better than it
advertises..it is fast and the meat is juicy and delicious, the 'sandwich' things I have tried ...omg delicious.
My favorite right now is tomato and sliced sharp cheese on wheat English muffins.
The cleaning...I can't use enough superlatives. I drop them in hot soapy water and go eat my dinner..return and
swish, swish! they are sparkling clean..and so so easy to remove and replace.
I am giving my larger and older GF grills to friends.
I really love this grill.
Tenants in my cottage apartment are not allowed charcoal or propane grills on our patios...imagine my delight
to buy this small but very very efficient electric grill...and have it be so satisfying.

Sure the plates are removable for easy cleaning which is why I decided to go for this model. I've had a lower model George Foreman Grill for years but cleaning the non-removable plates is a pain. So I was so excited when I got my new grill home last night and got it all set up. What they don't tell you is that the plates are held in place by flimsy small metal clips, two for the top plate and two for the bottom. I saw how they were supposed to snap into place and all and went to try it out. I instantly had a problem when I closed the lid and the top plate came unclipped and fell. I figured I just didn't clip it well enough and tried again. I clipped it in there and made sure it was secure. I opened and closed the lid several times and even shook it a little and it was fine. I plugged it in and as the machine began to heat up the top plate became unhinged again and "thud". Because heat causes metal to expand and these little clips are, well, little. So I unplugged it, let it cool down and tried again. Really tried to get it in there and secure. And once again, as soon as it started to heat up, "thud", the plate falls.
I'm surprised there aren't more people reporting this problem as it seems like a serious design flaw. Maybe I just got a crappy one. But those clips don't really look all that sturdy or robust and considering they're holding in a very hot electrical grill plate, I'd rather not take my chances.
I sent it back and will stick with my old one.
Exactly what it is advertised to be... a small George Foreman grill. It can cook two frozen burger patties at a time and doesn't take up too much room on the counter. As to whether or not the removable plates are dishwasher safe, I plan just use aluminum foil. Have used 10+ times and haven't had to wash the plates yet with this method. Just make sure you make sure the foil doesn't overlap the drip pan or you will have some greasy counters.
I highly recommend this larger George Foreman unit with the removable plates. The plates are easy to remove, and easy to clean, and you can leave the unit in place. The power cord is short for safety reasons, that's fine. I bought this unit to cook steaks, and hamburgers in my garage so the house doesn't stink of grease. It cooks very well, but there are a few things that could be done to improve the unit. The plastic tray that catches the grease could snap on the unit, that would make spillage rare. As it is, sometimes when you put a steak or a burger on the unit to cook, the unit moves and if you fail to reposition the grease tray, the grease will miss the tray. Rubber pads on the bottom of the unit legs would also prevent slippage. Next, an on/off switch would be great. Currently you have to unplug the cord from the AC outlet to turn the unit off. Finally, I would like to see an automatic shutoff switch, to prevent fires in case you forget to unplug the unit after you're done cooking.
This is a good product. It heats fast and cooks very well. I have owned and used this unit for just over a month. For the price it is a real bargain. That being said, I do have some issues. Today I noticed that the non stick coating has started to flake off. I will overcome this by using silicone grill mats from now on. Before this, the grill surface was very non stick--not even melted cheese would stick to it and it made perfect grill marks on the food. I suspect that todays meat with meat glue was the culprit causing the delamination of the nonstick coating as it began after I cooked some chuck steaks that may have been crafted with meat glue. Before that I had cooked some chicken breast strips that were definitely crafted with meat glue. After cooking the steaks, there were charred spots stuck to the grill surface. After soaking to loosen them, I used a soft plastic bristled dish brush to gently remove them and the nonstick coating came up as well. I took great care to not damage this surface as I had hoped it would last some time before it failed. This is not a deal breaker for me as I have used silicone mats on my retired George Foreman grill for some time with satisfaction. I would still recommend this product and also recommend them investing in silicone grilling mats to complement the grill surface.
Great indoor grill for one or two people. I'm a single guy and Ive worn through two of these - this is my third in 10 years. I've found that this smaller one is really all I need, having owned two of the larger models previously. It takes up less space than the other two, and it'll cool four burger patties or deboned chicken breasts at once - more than enough for me.

If I had a family, I'd want the larger ones, but, again, for one or two people, this may be all you need.

Clean up is very easy, as this one has detachable grill plates, as well.
Works quite well, came super fast with Amazon Prime. Word of warning, go for a bigger one, this "4 serving" grill holds 2 typical size frozen burgers. See picture.
After using it regularly for a few months, I can say this grill does the job. The cleanup of the plates is rather easy but the tray that goes beneath to catch all the oil and goo is not wide enough and I always get serious spills that I have to clean up afterwards. I also don’t understand why they don’t have an ON/OFF button on this grill? It’s the most basic thing for an electronic device!?
The George Forman Grill became a favorite for us to use for grilling hamburgers, bacon, etc. But when we washed and dried the whole grill last week, it fell and broke. We ordered another one and in this one we don't need to wash the whole unit instead we just need to take the plates out and wash it.
I bought this to replace my previous grill which didn't have removable plates. The removable plates are AWESOME. Cleaning now takes 30 seconds, and they even fit in the dishwasher. I just use it for burgers and steaks, nothing too fancy, but it cooks everything evenly and quickly. Personally I think it's a better option than a propane BBQ even in the summer (charcoal still wins for the extra flavour of the smoking...)

All that's missing is a temperature dial, but for the low price that shouldn't be expected. Plus, the one temp setting is AOK for most anything you'd want to grill. Cooked some burgers and chicken breasts on it, already. Very good results and surprisingly quick. And the cleanup couldn't have been easier. Clicked out the two grill surfaces and into the dishwasher they went.
I ordered this George Foreman grill as I have had many of them ,however the first time I used it I noticed on the back of the removable plates there is a black substance that keeps coming off , every time I touch them my hands are covered in this black substance whatever it is. I see the return date has passed ,which seems very soon to me ,however I am reluctant to use it anymore as i am not sure how this will impact any food I,m cooking. I certainly would not buy it again and would anyone to stay away from it
On top of the comments I made about this product, I am now convinced that it is not the real article and more likely a fake (as was discussed on the News last week) The reason I think this is I have since bought an grill and every store I went in told me that particular model comes in Red only---which I bought--and guess what no black stains comes off the back of the plates

Great purchase. Super quick grilling and LOVE the removable plates, I just wish they made them bigger! Fits only two frozen burgers at a time but with a 6min cook time, no one is waiting very long. Having easy-clean, removable plates makes this purchase well worth it.
I love and use this thing more than I thought possible. It really does an amazing job. I use it for grilling both vegetables and meat. Cleanup is easy and the non-stick surface is really quite good. I may start buying them as presents.
I love this grill. It makes the perfect paninis for less than $50. The grills are so easy to remove to clean. And if you have a sous vide it's perfect to search your meat after its finished. I strongly recommend this for anyone wanting a tool that makes great food.
George I hope you made enough money thru your "Boxing career to sustain you, because this product was Garbage!!! It would NEVER stop heating & the so called "Red" light looks more Orange than Red. It Also NEVER turned Green saying it was ready to use. You also need to re-write your instruction manual, under warranty. It says NOT to send a defective product back to where you bought it but to call YOUR Service dept. Well they are clueless about this product & I also returned your JUNK to Amazon & they gave me my Total Refund within "2" days, not the "6" weeks your people said I would have to wait to get a refund from them!!!

easy to clean, but grease builds up on the underside of the plates which are not so easy to clean. unit would smell/smoke everytime I plugged it in. also, when you lift the lid, grease from the upper plate drips down into the open back of the unit...the upper-plate needs more of a lip to stop that. wouldn't buy again.
I used to have smaller size and I liked it, that is why I replace to bigger one. I just noticed a cracke on top side of grill. I feel like it was before when I bought hut I never notice. I am attaching the pictures as well.
