The couch is very comfortable and stylish. We would give it a 5 star IF it arrived undamaged and with all the materials. The leather is damaged in several areas and a pillow is missing. I am asking for a complete replacement, including removing the packaging and full assembly, since I have already done that myself once.

I LOVE THIS COUCH!!! I had noooo idea Serta makes couches, but this is so comfortable that it's legit! (Buy the 499 version if you're looking for black. Java is so dark you can't tell the difference). What a great value, AND The delivery guys brought it right inside! The set up was easy (sides are stored in the bottom, which means there's also storage space in The couch!) The dimensions are exactly as described, and the look is even nicer in person! I love my new couch. It arrived on time and easy to assemble. It's comfortable and yes, it is firm. I slept on it the other night and it was great. It fits perfectly in my small apartment. I purchased a cover for it because of my dog. He loves the couch too. It looks expensive but for the price, it was a bargain. Must recommend for a small apartment like mine.

When I first purchased this product in 2013 it was good. Now I noticed the seams are turning white as the faux leather is coming off. Seems the coating is coming off where the material is stressed at the seams. Also, when I received it, the box was dusty and damaged. It was difficult to assemble because some of the connectors were too short so I had to use what they had and still additional holes in the brackets to make fit. I have covered it with a large decorative throw.

This is a very classy looking sofa. Not bulky, little smaller compared to similar 3 seater sofas. The side/leg assembly is packed inside the bottom of the seating area (storage area), have to unstrap the two velcro straps to lift up the seat to get them out. Easy assembly, but need two adults to hold it in place since it is very heavy. Outside of the package looked very beaten up, but the sofa itself was intact.

The sofa is firm and very nice looking. We were looking for something to put in our spare bedroom/study that would not look like a bed (for example a daybed). This fit the bill perfectly. When it is not folded out it looks very nice. We have not tried it as a bed but it is definitely very firm. We preferred this so that it didn't get saggy over time. The biggest drawback to this sofa is the fabric. We have 2 front declawed cats (who only retain their rear claws), and they have made MANY scratches in the fabric just from running around and taking off from it. This tells me that the bonded fabric is VERY THIN AND NOT VERY DURABLE!! This all took place within the first few days of having the sofa. So all it takes is one swipe and the scratch is there forever! We have a living room couch with "bonded leather" and we have not had this problem at all!! I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this fabric. What I hoped would be a nice looking sofa is something that I now have to keep covered with something so the cats make no more scratches. Again remember these are DECLAWED CATS. So this is not from them sharpening their claws on the furniture. It's just from casual pass throughs.

When I went to visit I slept on it (it was much better than the air bed). It was comfortable for two people. I had no back pain or discomfort and slept well each night (8 nights). It was a coffee color which goes well with any design.

It has a hidden storage areas. Comes with two pillows.

IT has three positions; upright, lounging (back tilted) and flat for sleeping.
I looked online for a sofa around $500 that could be shipped for a reasonable price. I am pleased with this sofa. Great for guest room, college student, studio, office or anyone on a budget.

I have never purchased a couch sight unseen before and knew it was a calculated risk. I had concerns that the couch may be "too firm" as many others had written but I find it to be very comfortable; though I have not slept on it yet.

Assembly was very simple, but beware this is a heavy couch. I recently placed my old sofa and love seat in storage which required me to carry them up a flight of stairs. I did so with no issues but I greatly suspect I would need assistance with this piece.

It was delivered well before the promised date and making arrangements with the delivery service was very easy.

I appreciate the convenience of a convertible couch and the storage area is a nice bonus.

If there are gripes to be had, I noticed some wear/scuffs in the leather at the bottom corners that is invariably from shipment or storage. Its a minor issue but I wonder if avoidable through additional precautions- I'm not in that business so I couldn't say what they would be.
