Was just as pleased with this smaller cabinet as the larger one I ordered before. It shipped quickly, assembled easily...and now I have two beautiful pieces of furniture for the cost of most at big retail furniture store, and with the money I saved I was able spend on accessories. Both cabinets are a great value for such solid furniture
This credenza in 'antique white' is really awesome. It arrived in one very LARGE, HEAVY (150 lbs) , box and the interior pieces were extremely well protected. It does take TWO PEOPLE to put together! The doors come assembled with the clear, removable glass already installed and kept in place with removable clear silicone retention strips ; they are already hinged to the front panel. The top and bottom interior door latches are already installed.
The directions are very clear and easy to understand. No long explanations, but very accurate pictures. The pieces of the credenza are all clearly labeled and match the labeling on the pictures in the directions.
You will need a phillips screw driver - that's all! IMPORTANT: FOLLOW THE STEPS EXACTLY as the instructions state and the pictures show.
All the sides, back, front, middle, top and bottom pieces "lock" in place. Be prepared to apply some force to 'lock' the pieces in place. Two people are needed to keep the credenza panels 'squared' so that they all 'lock' into place. You do not have to screw this credenza together.
The four 'bun' feet and two square feet all screw into metal sleeves. The base and top are very solid (all MDF), the doors are solid with the wood geometric designs also like wood (not thin luan or cardboard). The two shelves are also made from MDF and even with a tool box and a sewing machine placed on them, there is no sagging or bowing. The back panel of the credenza is the only 'thinner' piece and has slots cut into it to accommodate electrical cords on equipment or items to be plugged into the wall.
The front cabinet door pulls are black metal and come in three pieces each and are attached to the doors with metal screws from the inside (supplied). Note: Look closely at your cabinet door pulls, as there is an 'upside' and an 'upside down' to each of the two long pieces/plates. If you don't put one upside and the other upside down, one pull will be higher than the other. (this is easily fixed, by loosening them and spinning the plate to the upside or downside position - then tightening the knob pull assembly)
The color is stated as 'antique white'. The basic overall color is more of a darker off-white with a hint of gray. In fact, it looks a little 'grubby'. The credenza is 'antiqued' quite heavily, especially on the edges and corners of the top, bottom and individual cabinet doors. There is nothing crisp white or new looking about this piece. It definitely looks 'antique'. The surfaces of the cabinet are all very smooth, especially the top.
I found similar credenzas priced at $200 to 800 more! This credenza gets 5 stars! It is sturdy, lovely and well designed. We think it is really awesome and a beautiful piece of furniture!
I’m very happy with my purchase. It arrived quickly, was in perfect shape -no damage at all, and was easy to assemble. I’m going to enjoy this piece of furniture.
Per my husband since he’s the one that assembled it, he prefers some wood glue along with this package. That is what he said he would only give it a 4 stars but all other than that it came nicely package. Not broken or damage. It’s a beautiful, sturdy, and heavy piece of furniture. It’s high quality by the way.
I really fell in love with this TV stand when I saw it online, and was so excited when I ordered it. Once I received the package and was building it I noticed the front piece had very noticeable scratches on it right underneath one of the doors. I could see the white primer underneath. Now in general, I feel there are some scratches that are forgivable depending on the location and how big the scratch is. But if I kept this TV Stand I knew these front and center scratches would catch my eye everytime I looked at the stand. I didn't want to settle and spend so much money on a damage item so I decided to replace the item with a new one since I still liked the product.
Unfortunately when I got the replacement TV stand it had even more scratches than the first one in multiple locations. I had a sense it would given it was packaged poorly. Since I learned my lesson twice I decided to just return the product. I got my full refund back. If this item wasn't damage I would've loved the new addition to my place. I'm just disappointed I didn't get the chance to.
After shopping online and in person for a new media console that would fit in a large alcove of our new home, I took a chance and bought this. (Yes, Amazon has a great return policy, but I was nervous about how we could return such a large and heavy item!)
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and stability of this cabinet. It's LARGE (which is why we bought it, but make sure you take measurements!), very sturdy, good construction, and well-built.
No, it's not real wood, but the finish s believable and belies its totally affordable price. And interestingly enough, goes together without tools (other than to attach the knobs) using a combination of camlock-style connections and levers that are all built into the individual pieces. It literally snapped (with some effort) and locked together, and is super sturdy.
Great quality, especially for the price we paid (under 400 in Sept 2018). And since we have the Amazon store card, which gives 5% cash back, and purchased through Amazon's partner "smile" program, which donates a percentage to charitable foundations, this was a win-win-win-win for our home, our budget, and a beloved charity. (We give to the EPI Foundation that supports research and treatment for dogs with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency like our sweet rescue pup. They have many charities to choose from, and it doesn't cost you any extra.)
It arrived broken in more ways than we could count. The material was thin and poor quality. For the same amount of money we purchased a solid wood distressed piece similar in style but much better quality from a local store. As with most purchases in Amazon, I returned it-hassle free- for a full refund.
Wife first saw this on the net for twice the price and also at a hundred dollars more from a major furniture store. It came in a big heavy box and my wife put it together in less than 2 hours with minimal assistance from my sister. The furniture is heavy and looks to be well built. Glad we shopped around and glad we were able to have it delivered to our front door. Definitely not the low quality of Ikea.
