So, I never like things. But this couch. This couch I love.
The fabric came with a few small gouges, probably from the production process. This was not a deal- breaker for me, but was illustrative of the nature of velvet, I think. It was a warning to proceed with caution when seating one's children.
The green color was beautiful, and the velvet was far smoother and softer than several other velvet pieces I own.
The seat height was very comfortable and easy to rise from, which is uncommon in true vintage furniture. The seat depth was just slightly less than I would have preferred, although I am 5'9" with rather long legs.
All cushions were fully reversible, however several had deep imprints (springs and wrinkles) from packaging, which one would suppose might ease out over time.
Assembly was simple, but a bit more awkward than that lovely pregnant woman in the video suggests. (Don't follow the directions, put the legs on last if assembling without help.)
The issue was this: Marital Harmony.
I can abide a low-backed couch in exchange for beauty in many forms. My spouse cannot. And so I packed that beautiful couch right back in its box and sent it away. A lesson to you all about the sacrifices of marriage.
The sofa is so prefect! The quality is so great! Way better than I expected.... it took me 20 mins to put it together, very easy and the final result is stunning too!
Not only is this sofa dreamy soft and gorgeous, it was so easy to assemble BY MYSELF! I’m a 44 year old female and did this alone. Another great feature, I think I can take it apart if I move again, and move it BY MYSELF!
Edited to add: I got a follow up call from the company asking if my sofa arrived well packed and in good condition, which it was. They’re a very nice company.
And
Everyone who sees this sofa loves it! It’s beautiful in person.
Lastly, my bathroom is under renovation so I had to sleep on the sofa one night and it was so comfortable.
It had no instructions but my husband was able to assemble in about an hour with little help from me. The center leg does not come close to touching the floor and I can’t find a way to contact the company for a replacement. Other than that I’m satisfied, the couch is beautiful, soft and firm but comfortable. All the cushions are reversible and I’m able to roll off dog hair with a lint roller very easily. I sprayed it with fabric protector before use to hopefully save from dog slobber, baby spit up etc. For the price, I’m very happy with it!
For some reason I have only received half the couch (one box out of two) but Amazon says the order is complete. Can't figure out how the heck to get in touch with the seller. Color is great, but I only have half a sofa. Can't do much with that.
I was expecting a completely different shade of blue. A bit disappointed on that. Chair is nice and wide and firm...don't assume you'll be falling into a soft cloud of comfort. Not sure if I would pay $500 if I had seen these in a store...also sold on wayfair with same picture.
I am so impressed with this couch! It looks EXACTLY as pictured and is absolutely stunning. The velvet is so soft to the touch, and it feels sturdy and high quality. It is a little bit firm, but I am fine with that as it will allow for the cushions to not get flat and misshapen as quickly. I’m over the moon with this purchase!
It is beautiful! The color is true to description, emerald green, gorgeous! It was easy to put together and is comfortable. Very firm, you don't sink into it. Even our little dog likes to sit on it, and I just use a lint roller to clean off dog hair. The velvet material makes it very elegant in our formal area but it's not overly formal.
