Seems pretty solid. It was fairly easy to assemble.
The frame looks nice and I feel like it's going to hold up for quite a while. I'll certainly update this if I have any problems but so far everything is great.
Update: I've had this for about a month now. Everything is great!
I have noticed that depending on how I get off of the bed in the morning it can tend to slide off to the side. However, this hasn't happened at all while laying on the bed and it's very easy to slide the bed back in place. I have a Zinus gel infused memory foam mattress on here and maybe that's just a slick mattress? I'm not sure, but it does not affect my sleep at all. I love having the extra storage below.
Update 1 year + Later
This thing still works great. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who needs one. The mattress doesn't slide off that I've noticed anymore. I'm guessing that it did that either because of something I was doing and have changed, or the mattress has settled down a bit and stays put.
Dont:
Get this is you weight more than feather.
Get this is you have hardwood/tile.
Sneeze.
Breath.

If I could give this 0 stars I would.
Thank God Amazon gave me a full refund for this junk machine.
Don't waste you're money.

In less that literally a week of having this the bar bent.
The bed moved every second it could.
There was no level of stability here.
You don't even get what you paid for.

Very easy to put together. You might find that the mattress slides around, to remedy this I just put a yoga mat under it to create friction and problem solved
Update: its been less than 6 months since I’ve had this bed. I just got into bed after a long day, only to hear one of the legs snap. This is ridiculous. Not worth it.
It's an okay bed for the price but it will not last you very long.
I'm a single woman who sleeps in a queen bed and have had this bed for about 5 months now.
I weigh about 150lbs and the bed is already starting to slant and I constantly feel the legs giving out or the legs bending when I move or sit down on the bed so I'm already looking to get another bed because I'm afraid one day I'm just going to sit down and it's going to give out completely.
This frame comes in a compact box with zip ties holding all of the pieces. The instructions are mostly pictures, so installation is simple. The frame has middle support with 3 legs, as do the side rails, while you get a total of 8 rods (2 of which bolt to the middle rail for stability) that latch perpendicular to the rails for extra support. The headboard and footboard (frames, mind you) are simple to assemble.
Assembly takes 1-1.5 hours when done alone and per the instructions. Honestly, just skip to the rails with the support, then attach the head and foot frames for a much quicker, more efficient, and more linear setup. I've set up frames this way before, so the 1+ hour assembly per instruction manual was a bit timely for me.
Nonetheless, this bed is sturdy when properly assembled. My girlfriend and I are fine on this bed. Just note that it's a frame that sits 12 inches from the floor. That's good, particularly for sitting in a more natural position that doesn't compromise your hips. Also a good alternative to a bulky platform bed. However, underbed storage is limited and you'll sit pretty low without a box spring.
Excellent bed for the price. It came nicely packaged in a single box. It wasn't terribly heavy, but heavy enough that I would recommend 2 people move it if you're not very strong, especially going upstairs. A few of the pieces were scraped, but in my opinion, it really doesn't matter since the mattress covers up the defect. As for assembly, the instructions were slightly confusing initially, but once I figured it out, everything was a breeze. I loved the little Allen wrench/tool thing that came with it. There was a traditional Allen wrench (L) shaped tool, but a newer one I hadn't seen (like an actual cranking wrench) so you don't have to keep pulling the (L) tool out. It made assembly even faster. It took me a total of about 45 minutes to assemble with a 5 year old and 2 year old playing in the room/climbing over the pieces. So definitely not difficult. It's holding up to the abuse nicely (3 kids jumping and playing all over it). I would definitely buy it again, especially for a guest room or a more contemporary space.
This is a very simple yet nice looking bed frame! The set up was a breeze and we ran into no issues with misaligned holes or anything. Instructions are clear, and it came with all the necessary hardware to put it together. Exactly as pictured. It took us about a little over an hour to set it up completely. The bed frame is very sturdy, steel slats are very nice and have more support than wood slats, and the minimalist headboard/footboard definitely add a nice touch. There is plenty of room to stuff things underneath the bed frame. If you're looking for a nice, simple bed frame I would recommend this one from Zinus!
Very nice bed for the price. Super easy to put together and arrived quickly. Only issue I have with it is that the metal slats cause my mattress to slide a little bit when I lay on the bed. Other then that, I would def recommend. Very well made.
Frame is solid, easy to assemble. It's pretty quiet when you're banging, too. Footboard is perfect height to smash your knee into when you walk by. 9/10.
Updating this a year after purchase:
DO NOT BUY THIS. Both side support legs have broken off. The weld was bad in cheap metal.
The whole thing slides around like crazy, and all i do i sleep in it. I would not do more — it feels like it’ll fall apart.
WORST, the center support leg’s black floor protector WORE DOWN (and I’m a normal sized woman, good fitness) and has severely damaged the wood floor.
WORST BED FRAME EVER.
———
Initial review:
It came with a damaged middle side support leg.
Easy enough to put together.
VERY LIGHT and it’ll move around even if you aren’t doing anything athletic on top. Nice that it doesn’t scratch the floor but maybe the bottom piece that touches the floor could be rubber insead of hard plastic.
We did end up adding a low profile box spring simply because the bed was too low for adults without it.
Worst part: it does NOT FIT ANY REGULAR SIZED QUEEN MATTRESS. It is TOO LONG. I could have handled the bed moving around but i cannot stand that there’s an extra 3 inches of space between the box spring (or mattress) and the frame at the foot. How difficult would it have been to create a bed in the right dimensions?
Update on 7/16
ZINUS MATTRESS DOES NOT FIT ON ZINUS FRAME. it slips in between the slats on both ends at the same time. I’m dissatisfied and I don’t know how Zinus will sort this out. See more pictures that I put.

The package is very heavy and setting this as a one person job would be xtremely difficult. Me and my dad took 2 hours to set this up with no breaks in between.
There are two paper manuals with diagrams and part names. They don’t match each other with respect to part names.
The metal parts are marked slightly differently from the manuals.
This made us use some intuition to get it right. We did manage to put it together and the final product is excellent. But the seller needs to fix the product labeling and manuals.
Oh. And I also own the Zinus 8 inch mattress. It Does NOT perfectly fit the bed frame. I find it strange considering they’re the same brand. If someone sits on the edge of the bed near the head or foot the mattress bends and slips in the gap.
There are no anti slip layers on the top 10 slats. The mattress slips to the sides of the bed if one sits against the wall.
So in all fairness I am a single mom and my kids are pretty handy because they have to be. My 13 year old daughter who is very handy, good with basic tools, put this frame together in 40minutes with her 13 year old best friend. I did check it out and they did a great job it is solid and not moving with two people laying on it. It was delivered to my door in 2days. Very happy with this product, and price was great.
Bought the white one first. Super simple and fast to put together. And because i needed another one got the same one but in black. As platform beds dont required a boxspring but we had one from our okd frame, toke a picture of both of them. One with the boxspring and the other without for use of comparison. Hope that will help others om deciding whether or not they want to use one. It seems to be sturdy bed without the boxspring and you can see the frame better without it too. We love them. Hope this helps. The only thing would have had the frame a little taller from the floor. But we knew that before we ordered. Both of these were the double/full size.
Loving it so far!
Put it together by myself. Took about 45 minutes.
Comes with extra parts which was handy! Pretty sturdy once I tightened it all up. Excited to have my first nights sleep on it :)
Item arrived fast; is easy to assemble, and it's almost sturdy enough but not quite, which I'll explain. I have two issues with this product. First, bottom of your mattress has to stick to the frame via double sided adhesive tapes, so that it doesn't slide from the sides of the bed frame. I wish there were barriers on the sides of the bed to keep the mattress in place instead of literally binding the mattress to the frame which is a stupid idea. Secondly, my mattress sags a little because there are no support legs at the middle of the bed frame, which are a must for a queen size, but are also necessary for a twin sized bed frame.
Great bed frame. Sturdy construction and looks good once assembled. Had an issue putting this frame together. Instructions were a bit ‘Ikea-ish’ and I found myself going back, twice in the building process, to fix something I missed the first time because the instructions were unclear to me.
Frame is now built and looks great. It uses metal salts instead of wooden slats which I found weird.
Great frame all around!
Look no further for your next bed frame!
Received this yesterday.. (note package is heavy, get someone to help)
I thought it would take a full weekend to put it together, but, the instructions were excellent, all parts were labeled, and it went together in about 25 minutes!! The little tool that comes with it for assembly really reduces the time it takes to put it together!
I have had this frame for about 8 months now and it has served me well. Setting it up wasn't too difficult. Everything that was necessary for assembly was included and I was able to complete the setup alone. It holds my weight well (I'm around 150 lbs). My only complaint is that the legs in the middle section tend to be magnets for my toes (I have stubbed my toes against these more than once). Overall I'm satisfied.
Excellent value for money. Would have preferred it was a bit higher off the ground. Assembled well, came with a ratcheting Allen key for the bed. I didn't notice any loctite on the threads so it remains to be seen if it will stay snug with the lock washers alone. Look around, it's very hard to find something comparable for the price. Sturdy once assembled. Time will tell but at this point I would purchase it again.
Purchased this for my friend and we tried assembling this for her. First of all this is not a sturdy frame. As soon as we started assembling the bed we realized that we have made a mistake purchasing this product. This is like 100 pieces puzzle when you start assembling. Do not recommend this bed at all. You are better off if you spend another $50 and get a proper bed.
I was looking for a low cost but very sturdy bed frame unlike my IKEA bed frame that didn't last very long. I expected it to be a cheap Chinese bed frame with poor instructions and packaging but boy was I wrong! It arrived in a nice Zinus branded box. All the pieces were zip tied into groups that made sense for assembly. The bolts were labeled in a sealed in blister pack with spare parts. Most of the time you get a small Allen key for assembly but this is the first time I have ever seen a company include a ratcheting Allen key! I even used the same tool to to disassembly my IKEA bed frame before using it to to build this Zinus bed frame. I'll be keeping it my tool box for future use! Bonus! The build quality is great! Thick and sturdy metal tubes with a lot of rigidity from the inner mattress support structure. The finish is a textured black powder coat. The tops and feet have a soft plastic caps to protect you and you floor. The next time I need a bed frame, I'm going with Zinus!
I bought this intending for it to be an interim bed frame until I was ready to by a whole bedroom set. I found it has held up really well. It doesn’t squeak or rock at all and nothing bows under it and between me and my bf there is a solid 500lbs on the bed frame.
When assembling be sure to go back over all the bolts and tighten them several times. I went around the bed frame 3 times to make sure all the bolts were in place and I am sure it made a big difference.
I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a low cost high value bed frame.
