I have tried different mats that are nearly flat with no padding. They are normally useless. I took a chance on this and I am so glad. It is durable and sturdy yet soft and supportive too. It fits the Amazon crate with a little extra to wrap up the sides, which I like so our dog is able to stretch out completely on the pad. Others have been slightly too small for crate size which leaves a gap and causes it to slide. This has textured bottom so it never slides around either.

I bought this for my dachshund's crate which he hates. He has ripped up every mat, blanket, and towel that has ever been placed in there with him but I was hoping the softness of this mat might dissuade him from attacking. The mat is very nice, it has traction on the bottom so he is not able to kick it around very easily. It is also very soft and reminds me of bathroom mat - which the dog loves to lay on in his spare time. Perhaps this is also why he has not destroyed it (yet). Anyway, well worth the money, I highly recommend.

This is not grey. I have gray floors and gray couch it does not match at all. Very soft and nice but not the right color.

My Cody loves her little bed/mat. It's very soft and has a good thickness to it. I haven't washed it yet, so hoping it will hold up to a washing. The actual 42" bed is really more like 40" but it is very nice, and Cody seems to really love it. She can no longer get on my bed at times, due to her being 15, so when she can't, I just let her sleep on this bed, and she seems to really be comfy! Which is all that matters to be. She can sprawl out or sleep in a ball. I have an incontinence pad underneath her and on top of the bed in case of any accidents, and overall it's a real nice bed. Five Paws (")

This is an awesome mat! Fits right over my large dog bed. Both dogs love it. I wish it came In other colors. I would get more. Very comfortable.

Love this cover. Washes up nicely and makes bed look neat and tidy. My pug loves it too. One caution, if you go by the measurement chart, it depends on how thick the bed is. I ordered too small at first because the bed is quite thick, even though the measurements were correct. If in doubt, or the bed has a bolster around it, order the next size up. Very nice product and good price! Wish there were more colors.
