Do not buy from this seller, they charge for returns, quality is not that great and there are other, better quality ones out there. Product smelled like Chemicals, do not put your pet around that!

UPDATE: When I emailed the company to suggest that they put explicit instructions on the outside of the shrink wrap to ensure no one cuts the actual bottom of the cat bed, they offered to send me a replacement bed. I felt bad since it was partly my fault for not being more careful and assuming the black was part of the shrink wrap and offered to pay for it. They wouldn't hear of it and are sending me a replacement bed! Buy with confidence from this company! They are good people and want their customers to be happy!

Original post: I'm still giving this product five stars because as you can see, my cat absolutely loves it and it is one of the softest pet beds I've ever purchased. However, I did want to warn other purchasers to be very careful when cutting open the pet bed from the plastic. It comes compressed and shrink wrapped, and although I was cutting along the edge, I didn't realize that the black part that was part of the shrink wrap was the bottom of the bed and I ended up cutting a hole in the bed. So, it's a bit frustrating to have spent $40 and start off with a hole in the bottom of the bed. Again, perhaps we can chalk it up to me not being more careful, but I did send the company an email letting them know they might want to put some sort of warning on the outside of the shrink wrap because to me, it just looked like it was part of the plastic wrap. Learn from my mistake if you order! Oh, and as a side note, this is a large-sized bed and I ordered navy, but it's actually more of a dark gray which I wanted! My cat is 11 pounds for reference, and I wanted her to have room to spread out because she tends to sleep that way.

112719 update: Just attached a picture of both size beds together for comparison. The 14 lb boy took over the large bed as soon as it arrived, and hasn't looked back. Perhaps his older joints appreciate not having to curl up so tight.

Recommendations:
1. When cutting carefully into the plastic shrink wrap, DO NOT cut where it is black. You will end up slicing into the bottom. Cut on the fleece portion instead. Just a small snip will allow the air to get in so you can cut just the plastic from then on.

2. BUY THIS BED! It is the best I've found in many years. You and your babies won't regret it!

101519 update: Just getting ready to buy our third bed, this time a large. The 8 lb girl and 14 lb boy fit in the medium just fine. Our new 16 lb boy is a bit of a sprawler, and needs the larger bed. These hold up well and wash well. Great indoors and out!

We have half adopted an outdoor cat who spends more time at our house than at her own. She was sleeping on gravel under a bush. She had refused a cave bed before. Well, I took this one out to her, and she took to it immediately! It's perfect for a cat, who can curl up or stretch, and it it so soft and cushy for making biscuits! She is in love. So highly recommend this bed!

My dog loved IT until last night. She likes to scratch where she is going to lay down and she got her nail caught. I had to cut it out of the bed to get it unattached. Now she is limping.

6/18/2019 Now his bed of choice! And he has multiple. He loves it! It took it a couple of days to truly fluff up. It is very soft and he marches a lot. It's not what I would consider navy in color, too light and matches the room. Great purchase, but would have like a less expensive price.

Update, now 7/13/2019 he's still using it! The curled up photo with him fully tucked in the large bed.

LOVE this bed and so does my dog!!! Darling bed. And so, so cozy. Was looking for a smaller bed for my puppy...that was also soft and cozy. Oh my gosh ... this bed exceeded all expectations. It’s great! And she LOVES it. It does NOT have a removable outer lining for washing. But I just threw in the entire bed to wash (as many reviewers suggested) .... and it came out of the wash & dryer looking beautiful and just as soft and kept it’s original shape. Highly recommend ...for smaller dogs.
